This was the first time that practitioners participated in this event. They set up a booth to introduce Falun Gong and expose Chinese Communist Party's inhumane persecution of the practice. They also offered free Falun Gong classes. Many people who learned the facts signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

On October 31, Ms. Ren, a Chinese lady living in Munich, Germany, happened upon Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful demonstration against the persecution and encouraging Chinese people to quit the Chinese Communist Party activity. She expressed her support and asked what she could do for them.

On August 15, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland held a Falun Gong Information Day in Bern, the capital, exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong. At the same time, they called for an immediate end to the persecution. People signed the petition to express their support.

Munich is a well-known historical city. It attracts many tourists from around the world. The Marien Platz in the city centre is especially crowded. On August 9, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from the German State of Bavaria held an activity at the Marien Platz, exposing the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong.

October 18 was the last day of the Frankfurt Book Exhibition. It was still crowded and lively, inside as well as outside the exhibition hall. Falun Gong practitioners held an information booth in the open-air exhibition area. They introduced the visitors to Zhuan Falun and the main teachings of Falun Gong, and demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.

On October 22, the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) organised a human rights forum at the Swedish Parliament. The forum was hosted by Eva Selin Lindgren, Swedish Parliament member and vice chair of WILPF. Parliament representatives, China Experts, NGOs, and representatives from other persecuted groups attended the forum.

It is already chilly in October in Denmark. From October 15 to 17, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark held three days of activities in five cities on the Island of Fyn to raise awareness about the human rights abuses against the practice in China. Many people learned about Falun Gong by talking to practitioners or reading the posters and information material they displayed.

During the week of October 12-18, 2009, the International Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held at the Anaid Art Gallery in Bucharest, near the Parliament. Despite cold and rainy weather, many visitors came to view the exhibition. The event started with a press conference attended by the main cultural TV station in Romania - TVR Cultural.

The twenty-seventh annual Spirit and Knowledge Expo was held in Helsinki, Finland in October 2009. More than two hundred groups participated in the Expo. Finland Falun Gong practitioners took part in the Expo by introducing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

From October 1 to 4 2009, Falun Gong practitioners held activities to support the movement to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organisations on the square in front of the Cologne Cathedral. After finding out the facts, many people signed their names to support stopping the persecution of Falun Gong and to support those who have withdrawn from the CCP.

The First Middle East Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held on October 24th, 2009 in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Practitioners came from Turkey, Iran, Israel and the United Arab Emirates to participate in the conference.

October 1, 2009, was the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) rise to power in China. The Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in London held activities in London's Chinatown to give out copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, to urge people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations, and to support the 61 million Chinese people that had already renounced the CCP.

Sweden's largest health expo was held on October 10 and 11, 2009 in Solna, to the north of Stockholm. With miraculous healing power that improves mind and body, Falun Gong is very popular with the Swedish public. Each year the group is invited to demonstrate the exercises.

The Poland Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held on October 18, 2009 in Warsaw. It was the fifth time that a Fa conference was held in Poland. Seventeen practitioners presented experience-sharing papers. Several told of their tremendous changes both, physical and mental, after taking up Falun Gong.

On Saturday, October 17, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from northern England went to St. Anne's Square in Manchester to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many signed the petition supporting Falun Gong practitioners and wished that the persecution would end as soon as possible. Showing their support, some offered to buy hot tea for the practitioners.

On October 10th 2009, the European Divine Land Marching Band performed in Milan and caught the attention of Milan's largest national TV media. Along the parade route, the Italian people responded warmly to the band. The band's spirited appearance won praise from the spectators. Almost everyone happily accepted leaflets to learn more about Falun Gong.

On Saturday October 10th 2009, several Falun Gong practitioners from the north of England went to the city centre of Sheffield to tell passersby about Falun Gong and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong practitioners in China.

On September 13, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Madrid to expose the crimes that the CCP has committed and to call for an end to the persecution. At the gathering, several Falun Gong practitioners spoke about the CCP's crimes in its sixty years of ruling China, in particular in persecuting Falun Gong in the last ten years.

A few tourists pointed at the leaflets exposing the CCP's live organ harvesting, saying that such important information should be passed to people all over the world as soon as possible. Someone pointed at the pictures exposing the persecution and asked, "Is this real?" After finding out that all of these were not only real, but also still happening and supported by the CCP, many people voiced their anger.

On October 1-9, 2009, the 121st Olympic Session and the XIIIth Olympic Congress of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) were held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Falun Gong practitioners took this opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), and expose the ten-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Practitioners held an activity in Chinatown to introduce Falun Gong and let people know about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s persecution of the practice. The event was also held to express support for the 61 million Chinese people that have quit the CCP.

It was very clear that people were moved by the art exhibition. Many people said they were deeply touched. Later Father Wolfgang Gaber also came to view the artwork. He was obviously moved and wrote in the visitor's book: "The art exhibition in Melanchthon Haus has awakened us all. How could we ignore such bloody abuse of human rights? ..."

Ahead of Norway's general election, leaders of each party received a special gift – copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which has been responsible for 60 million people in China quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The leaders said that this kind of information was very much needed.

Several new participants arrived at the Regent's Park Falun Gong exercise site on a weekend in September. They had learned about the practice when practitioners held an informational activity and were so interested that they came to learn the exercises. When one lady was asked how she felt after trying Falun Gong for the first time she said emotionally, "Very good. I felt very good, very happy. It's very easy to learn and I believe it's very good for me."

In the middle of July 2009, the European Divine Land Marching Band was invited by the German Culture and Human Rights Association and the organiser to take part in the opening ceremony of "Spirit Asia," an open-air festival in Nuremberg, the second largest city in Bavaria. More and more people learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP.

Falun Gong practitioner Yuyu Williamson made use of her holiday with her family in Shetland at the northernmost end of the UK to tell the people there about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and that Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted for following the principles of “Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance”.


On September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from the renowned city of Cologne, Germany and surrounding areas held an activity in front of the Cologne Cathedral. The practitioners displayed banners supporting the withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.

The 2009/2010 International Culture & Leisure Fair in Holland made its debut in the Atrium at The Hague, on September 20, 2009. The event was hosted by The Hague Council. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate.

September 12, 2009 was a Saturday, so Falun Gong practitioners once again went to St. Martin's Place in the centre of London to hold an activity, hand out leaflets about the goodness of Falun Dafa and exposing the CCP's brutal persecution. Many people condemned the CCP's brutality, and supported Falun Gong's opposition to the persecution.

From September 9 to 13, 2009, Lunen, a small northern town in Nodrhein-Westfalen, Germany, celebrated its 30th anniversary. The anniversary celebration drew around 100,000 people from the town and surrounding cities. This was the fourth time that practitioners from the nearby city of Dortmund took part in the festival to introduce Falun Gong to the people there.

On September 26, Sweden's Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Service Centre organised a rally at Mynttorget Square to condemn the Communist regime's atrocities and support over 60 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organisations. The persecution of Falun Gong was highlighted.

On September 20, 2009, the annual Oktoberfest began in Munich. At the famous Marlin Square, Falun Dafa practitioners from Bayern Province hosted an information day to introduce Falun Dafa, demonstrate the exercises, and expose the persecution. People asked many questions, from what Falun Gong is, why and how Chinese Communist Party persecutes Falun Gong, to how Chinese people work to stop the persecution.

A Falun Dafa cultivation experience sharing conference was held on October 4, 2009 in Brussels, Belgium. Twelve practitioners shared their experiences in doing a better job in clarifying the truth. Those attending the Fa conference included new practitioners and veterans who have cultivated for over a dozen years. They were of all ages and walks of life.

On Saturday, September 19, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from West Yorkshire in the UK went to the busy Leeds city centre to expose the persecution of Falun Gong happening in China, and at the same time, offer help to Chinese people who wanted to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations.

Upon seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts for the first time as it graced the stage at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva, Switzerland, many audience members shared that they were deeply moved by the performances. Mr. Labarthe, a theologian, said he was inspired. "It was wonderful and perfect, very substantial," he said. "The message was very important."

Mr. Dominguez, general manager at a Swiss airline, joined an appreciative audience that resoundingly responded to the world-acclaimed show at Theatre de Leman in Geneva, "Tonight is the first time I have gotten to see this performance. I am really delighted, and I would even say completely amazed at what we have seen here tonight," Mr. Dominguez exclaimed.

September 20, 2009 is World Children's Day in Germany. On September 19, Falun Gong practitioners held an information day on Kropke Square in Hannover. The theme of the activity was "World Children's Day, Pay Attention to Falun Gong Orphans in China". Dortmund football fans came to the information desk to read posters and sign the petition in support of Falun Gong.

By noontime the streets were milling with people who were curious to see what was displayed in each stand. Among those who came to the festival, many had the opportunity to see the stall about Falun Gong. They saw the gentle exercises, and were very interested to come to the free weekly session held in the local gardens.

They were amazed by the energy, expressiveness and beauty exuding from the dancers, musicians and singers. "The beauty of the dance is really wonderful. The music, the singers, and, of course, the dancing. The expressiveness – how feelings are expressed through dance. I am very sensitive to that," Ms. Milenkovich said. "And to the energy, such energy."

On September 20, 2009, the annual Skive Lobet was held in Slive, which is in Jutland in northwest Denmark. Several thousand people took part in the many different programmes. Denmark Falun Gong practitioners came to introduce people to Falun Gong. The sun shone as practitioners demonstrated the five exercises to music.

On October 1st, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Munich, Germany held a peaceful protest against the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution in front of the Chinese Consulate. They raised banners reading, "Falun Dafa" and exposed the CCP's organ harvesting crimes against Falun Gong practitioners. Their protest was supported by the German people.

Shen Yun Performing Arts made its 2009 début to Europe in the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva on Tuesday September 29. Mr. Claude Proz, the manager of the theatre which has been hosting the New York-based Shen Yun for the past three years, said he would be glad to welcome Shen Yun every year. "It's magnificent, it's a spectacle, and I'm delighted it's coming back and I'll be delighted that's it's showing tomorrow and after tomorrow. I thought it was exceptional!"

Shen Yun Performing Arts dazzled and astounded Geneva audiences three nights in a row at the Théâtre du Léman last week. Mr. Labadi, a real estate agent, praised Shen Yun for its presentation of China's rich and ancient culture. "I find that we don't talk enough about China's past. In the West we see the Egyptian past, we see the Roman past, and we know the modern China, but we don't know the past of China," he said.

Political candidate and TV station reporter Astrid Freudenstein said that when she taught at a university, she heard of serious human rights abuses by the CCP and its persecution of people with religious belief. She was shocked to know this time that the Chinese Communist regime even harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. She said she would take a copy of all the information materials home and read them carefully.

On October 1, 2009, the 60th anniversary of the CCP's rise to power, practitioners in Manchester demonstrated and did group exercises in front of the Chinese Consulate to expose the CCP's crimes. It has been 60 years since the CCP forcefully took power.

On September 12, groups of people from different nationalities in colourful costumes passed, singing and dancing through the Hamburg downtown area at the climax of the annual Cultural Carnival of Hamburg. As the only Chinese group, Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the parade and were well received by the organisers and audience.

On September 12 2009, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to take part in a local community event in Marly-le-Roi, a quiet city about 9 miles west of Paris. The focus of the activity, sponsored by the local government, was to showcase the local artistic, educational, and sporting opportunities that are available to residents for their enjoyment and enrichment.

On September 19-20 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland visited their beautiful neighbouring country of Estonia to attend the 15th Health Expo. It was held at the Lauluväljakilla Park in the capital of Tallinn. They introduced Falun Gong and exposed the CCP's brutal persecution of the practice over the last ten years.

The serene images of the practitioners in meditation and the sign reading “Falun Gong, meditative exercises” caught the eye of students strolling by. Most had not heard about Falun Gong before, and after learning more, happily left their contact details to find out about the free sessions held weekly at the university.

On 18th July 2009, Augsburg, the third largest city in southern Germany, welcomed the 7th Peace Culture Festival. The primary themes of the festival are to love peacefulness, oppose violence, and respect various national cultures. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners were invited to attend this festival by the event organiser and participated for the sixth year.

To commemorate ten years of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Irish practitioners held a march and other activities in Dublin on the 18th, 19th and 20th of July. They called on the Irish government and people from all walks of life to join the rising worldwide voice to stop the persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioners in Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Moldova, Latvia, Sweden, and the Czech Republic held a Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Moscow from September 19 to 20, 2009. Practitioners shared their experiences of cultivation and participating in activities exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.

On July 19 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in France rallied at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s ten years of persecution against Falun Gong. While some practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, others displayed some torture methods that are used by the Chinese Communist regime on Falun Gong practitioners.

On 11th July 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany held a rally and parade in Berlin calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution. A representative from the Falun Dafa Association in Germany read an open letter to all governments in the world, calling on all countries to support freedom and human rights.

On July 21st, 2009, Swedish Daily, the third largest newspaper in Sweden, carried an article entitled “The Meditation Against Suppression” to cover the candlelight vigil at the Chinese Embassy organised by Swedish Falun Gong practitioners to commemorate the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners killed by the communist regime in China.

A little boy ran over and asked a practitioner: "How can I learn and how much do you charge?" The practitioner smiled and said: "I can teach you and it is free." The boy was delighted and learned the first exercise. To let people know about the ongoing persecution, posters which exposed torture methods used in Chinese practitioners were displayed.

The Falun Gong practitioners set up a tent near the entrance to the festival grounds. There was a display of informational materials about the practice's benefits to the mind and body, as well as information exposing the persecution that is happening in China.

In mid-August 2009, eight practitioners spent a week traveling by car to seven counties in Ireland in order to raise awareness about Falun Gong. In every county, the practitioners met warm-hearted people. Many local media covered the event.

Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in front of their booth. They also collected signatures to call for action to end the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. People found the organ harvesting atrocities of the Communist regime very shocking. More than 200 people signed the petition in a day.

On Saturday September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Ulm and Augsburg held an Information Day activity in Augsburg, in southern Germany, to call for an end to the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people stopped in front of the information desk and displays, and carefully read the contents of the display posters.

On September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners held an information day in downtown Leipzig, a city in the eastern part of Germany, to introduce Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa), a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s ten-year brutal persecution.

In front of Chinese Consulate in Milan, people can often see Falun Gong practitioners. From 2002, they have kept going there to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s brutal persecution of Falun Gong despite wind or rain. Outside the consulate, voices of justice can be heard frequently from people who learn the truth about the CCP's persecution.

Retrouvailles is an annual event in Liège, Belgium. The Belgian Falun Dafa Association and over 300 other groups participated in this year's event. People were attracted by the beautiful Falun Gong music, and practitioners were busy explaining to the tourists what Falun Gong is, where to learn it, and why the CCP is persecuting this peaceful group.

On September 4 and 5, 2009, the annual Health Week was held in Weserpark Shopping Centre in Bremen, a city in northern Germany. Many people learned about Falun Gong at the event. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises to music on stage in the shopping centre. The noisy hall suddenly became quiet, and people stopped to watch.

On the afternoon of July 18, 2009, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate. Practitioners disclosed the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong, appealed to just people from all classes to condemn the Chinese Communists’ crimes against humanity and to support Falun Gong practitioners’ campaign of anti-persecution.

From June 26 to 28 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Florence attended the cultural festival in the city of Val d’arno, bringing the teachings of Falun Gong to the people of this small city. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in front of a booth provided by the organiser. They also exposed the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

On August 29, 2009, the day before the 2009 UK Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference took place, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in London. Practitioners from around the United Kingdom gathered in central London to introduce people to the beauty of Falun Dafa and to expose the brutal persecution in China.

This anti-torture re-enactment was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany on August 22, 2009. In addition to the re-enactment of the Chinese Communist Party's torture methods and a poster display on the persecution, practitioners talked with passersby about the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The Sfinks Festival (International Music Festival) was held during the last weekend of July. At this year's festival, Falun Gong practitioners introduced Falun Gong to the festival visitors. They set up a tent with display boards about the worldwide spread of Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the practice.

Falun Gong practitioners from Ireland attended the Dun Laoghaire Culture Festival on August 29 and 30, 2009. Many people were attracted to the practitioners' booth, and some learned the exercises. Some Chinese people also stopped by and learned things that have been covered up in China.

On August 13, 2009, the annual Multi-Cultural Festival Day took place in Warsaw. The European Divine Land Marching Band took part in the parade and brought the good news of Falun Dafa to the Polish people. On the previous day, the marching band came to the local Chinatown and also in front of the Chinese embassy, and performed.
