May 13th, 2007 was World Falun Dafa Day. Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners held a celebration in Donetsk's central park along with practitioners all over the world. They celebrated the 15th anniversary of Falun Gong being spread to the whole world and the 56th birthday of Master Li. On this unusual day, Falun Gong practitioners spread the benefits of Falun Gong to the Ukraine people.
Falun Gong practitioners in demonstrated the exercises, attracting passers-by who took pictures and wanted to learn the exercises with practitioners. Like every situation before, each time when practitioners are doing exercises, lots of children come to watch. On this special day, practitioners especially prepared yellow balloons reading ‘‘Falun Gong is Good’’, ‘‘The world needs truthfulness, compassion and tolerance’’, along with little banners printed with ‘‘The world needs truthfulness, compassion and tolerance’’, as well as bookmarks printed with lotus flowers. Lots of children were playing in the Square, holding balloons, banners, running around in the Square creating a festival atmosphere.
When practitioners were distributing little flags reading ‘‘The world needs truthfulness, compassion and tolerance’’ to children, a policeman came over and asked for ten. Practitioners asked with smile, ‘‘Why do you want so many?’’ He answered, ‘‘Five of the banners are for my colleagues, another five are for myself, I am going to stick them in my office table instead of the old ones, these of yours are very special.’’
When the Ukrainian people learned about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners who believe ‘‘truthfulness, compassion and tolerance’’, and that the CCP is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners to make huge profits, many people came to sign practitioners' petition in succession condemning the Chinese regime. They wished that the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners would end at an early date and they encouraged practitioners: ‘‘This is a very important and very urgent thing that needed to be done’’.
