Four Practitioners from Shandong, Jilin, and Hebei Provinces Died After Suffering Persecution

Ms. Wei Aiqin, 58, lived in Zibo City, Shandong Province. She started cultivating in 1997. In December 2001, she was sentenced to a forced labour camp for one and a half years. She was persecuted in the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. Later, she was released on bail for medical treatment after being seriously tortured. She died one year after returning home in May 2004.

Ms. Lian Qiaolian, 50, was a practitioner from Lianzhuang Village, Danian Town, Juancheng County, Shandong Province. After she learned Falun Dafa in 1995, her body became healthy and her family became harmonious. In 2000, she suffered persecution. She was imprisoned and her home was seized many times. Due to threats and pressure from the police, her old disease recurred and she died on September 10th 2005.

Ms. Yu Shuzhen, 59, was a farmer from Huaijia Town, Yushu City, Jilin Province. She started to practise Falun Gong in October 1997, and she became healthy. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, she tried to go to her provincial government to tell the facts of Falun Dafa to with other local practitioners, but she was cut off halfway there by Yushu City police and sent back home. Because of her fear, she gave up cultivation for a while. Due to long-term constraints and fear, disease appeared in her body, and Ms. Yu died of liver cirrhosis on July 31st 2004.

Ms. Yan Guoping was around 45 years old. She was a librarian at Hebei Jingmao University and lived in a dormitory at the Province Electric Power Department on Shijiazhuang Donggang Road Electrical Industry Plot. In May 2002 people from her work place and the police from the local police station "arrested" her and sent her to the notorious Hebei Province Legal System Education Centre to be brainwashed. Under pressure, she stopped cultivating Falun Gong and developed kidney cancer, which quickly spread. Even though she had given in to the brainwashing, people from the local police station and residents' committee still illegally came to her home to harass and exert pressure on her while she was undergoing treatment. Ms. Yan Guoping died in the autumn of 2002.
