Over 170,000 are believed to have lined the streets to watch this year's Edinburgh Cavalcade Festival. Falun Gong practitioners have taken part in this event for the past three years and each time they have won first prize in the "Community" category. Practitioners were pleased that the enormous amount of effort they put into preparing costumes and other equipment for the parade paid off and that more people could learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution that practitioners have suffered over the last five years. Several thousand leaflets were distributed during the parade and many paper lotus flowers were given out. The flowers embodied the dignity and beauty of Falun Dafa and each had a small note attached revealing more information about the practice and persecution.
