Reflections on The Communist Party and the Persecution of Falun Gong

Falun Gong is Not Political

Falun Gong practitioners’ are peaceful, rational and unafraid in their opposing, resisting, and exposing of the persecution, which may lead pro-democratic groups to think to that we’ve done well. However, our goal is actually totally different from theirs. Falun Gong practitioners do not have any political purpose. From my personal viewpoint, even though I still had opinions on Chinese government after 1989, I honestly really didn’t have any complaints or criticisms of the Chinese government by the time I started to learn Falun Gong in 1994 and 1995. What Falun Gong taught me was that human morality is the most important thing. We can see that social moral corruption is a universal problem, not only limited to the officials. It’s just that if the officials’ morality is not good then the influence is greater and worse. Everyone has his or her own responsibility in the corruption of society’s morality. What Falun Gong teaches me is that we have to do things from ourselves - to be good people. We just want to practice the exercises, and we just request the most basic of human rights. This kind of group of people is of benefit to any country, because only through the improvement of mankind’s morality as a whole, can we solve social problems and social conflicts.

All that Falun Gong practitioners have done is for the purpose of exposing and ending this persecution. Falun Gong practitioners won’t cause a violent revolution like the Communist Party did in those past years. Four years have passed since Jiang’s gang of crooks took control of the nation’s political machine and began to seize Falun Gong practitioners all across the country. This persecution has developed to this point today and Jiang’s crimes against Falun Gong cannot be forgiven.

In overseas countries, I see that western people really and generally respect and look up to Chinese culture. In the Tang dynasty, China was the centre of the world. People from all over the world went to China to study and visit. At that time, Chinese language, characters, clothing, music, drawing, religion, and so on were paragons for every country to study. However, when they go to China today, they can only see the little that remains of traditional Chinese culture. The Communist Party’s ideology has corrupted traditional morality, literature education, and the traditional form of relationships between people and their way of life. Worse still, the Communist Party has indoctrinated the nation with its “class conflict” ideology and with its political “movements” which have made people’s lives very hard and led people in China to lack basic mutual trust and moral standards. People dare to do anything for money. Therefore, I see that the main problem is not the lack of democracy, but the lack of moral standards. As practitioners, we don’t have any goals to build up a system in human society; however, we indeed think that the only hope for China lies in the improvement of morality.

The Chinese Communist Party is a Deceitful Violent Evil Cult Against Humanity and Tradition.

Through my personal experience, I have seen clearly this persecution is totally evil, illegal, premeditated and penetrates from top to bottom. Coming back to free society here in the west, people are always asking me “Why on earth does the Chinese government persecute Falun Gong?” I had to think about it.

As I understand more and more of that real Chinese history, which has been omitted from the school textbooks in China, the more I read, the more surprises I find. This Community Party has one point that is different from other political parties. Other political parties are only groups that participate in elections, organize a government, and have certain guiding principles and directions in ruling the country. However, the Communist Party is not only a political party, but involves itself in the field of spirituality. It is actually a religion, a real evil cult. Chinese people do not believe in Gods, but it doesn’t mean they do not unknowingly believe in a religion. Chinese people think westerner’s belief in religions is inconceivable, and they think they are the calmest, most objective and scientific because they believe in materialism and atheism. However, Chinese people themselves cannot awaken to the fact that the Communist Party is actually the biggest religion in China.

The Communist Party (just like recognized orthodox and unorthodox religions and sects and cults) also talks about how to be a human being, how to develop the human society, how the universe is constructed, and the relationship between mind and matter and so on. This is something that other political parties don’t do. However, the traditional orthodox religions in human society such as Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, Catholicism etc, teach people how to be good, talk about humanity and forbearance. By contrast, the Communist Party specially instigates violence.

How to measure a religion as good or bad is to see whether it teaches people to be good or bad. From this perspective, we cannot help but say that the Communist Party is a genuinely evil cult, because it has thrown away and destroyed all moral standards from beginning to end.

It involves itself in the spiritual and wants to make people believe in its theories. But actually it continuously brings miseries to people and cannot prove itself as correct. An incorrect, unpersuasive theory on life has a hard time surviving, so it continuously carries out brain-washing, instilling propaganda in people’s minds and persecuting it’s people; all means are used to control people’s minds.

This is still not enough for it to achieve its goals, because in China, a country having long-standing history and culture, the thinking of Confucianists, Buddhists and Toaists has been passed down for two thousand years, bringing with them traditional moral concepts. People who have traditional moral concepts would not agree Communist Party’s behaviour, therefore, it had to eradicate all of these forms of traditional thinking. This process of eradication was the “Cultural Revolution”. Through this ten-year great calamity, all of traditional Chinese culture has been completely rooted out, in fact the essence of Chinese culture has also gone; books, cultural or historical relics and temples were burned and destroyed without any exceptions. It has not only destroyed the material aspects of the traditional things, but has dealt an even harsher blow to man’s spirit. People who were outstanding in every academic field were all forced out, which was called “reactionary academic authority”. These people were put to do labour work, even tortured to death. The most famous writer, Lao She, was beaten by red guards, and finally committed suicide by jumping into a lake. In different dynasties, different races have ruled China. However, no matter which races ruled, they all inherited and enriched the Chinese nation’s culture. But the Communist Party is totally different. The ten-year “Cultural Revolution” destroyed all traditional Chinese culture.

The Communist Party also caused the degeneration of the whole of Chinese education, interfering with academic books and textbooks in all subjects. In China, students can’t learn various original sources of orthodox sciences, philosophies schools and religions. In all books are added critiques based on the perspective of materialism, atheism, and “class conflicts”. The timely republishing of Chinese textbooks reflects political movements. After they began to suppress Falun Gong, there are questions regarding Falun Gong in the political questions of university entrance exams. The students have to write their understandings and declare their stance. The Communist Party worries nobody would believe in its false theories. Its means of propaganda and education are reaching the peak of “perfection”. Thus, all Chinese people are sealed within Communist Party’s theoretical system, and nobody would possibly doubt about it. All Chinese people are controlled like this; they support it unknowingly and are used as its tools.

In fact, all of the political movements over the years were not done casually and without reason, on the contrary, they are systematic, and have their purposes. They all exist in order to maintain its false theories. It definitely eradicates all other existing ideologies and persecutes the initiators. In the Communist Party’s system, if anyone who wants to do something deviating from the Communist Party’s ideology, he would be rooted out, persecuted without exception. In the "Campaign to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries", "Three Oppositions and Five Oppositions", “Opposing Right-Wing”, “Cultural Revolution”, tens of thousands to millions of people died in each movement; should they be treated like this? It is not reasonable even according to Chinese laws. The movements after the Cultural Revolution were “Opposing the liberalization of capitalist class”, “Suppressing a riot” in 1989, and “Suppressing Falun Gong” in 1999. No matter what the names of each movement, in fact, the goals are the same. People who have been tortured are those who are not true followers, or who want to talk about the truth, or who believe in other ideologies outside of the Communist Party. In this country, if you want to live an easy, secure life, you have to completely accept its false theory, going along with its requests to twist human nature to tell lies, dealing with political thinking reports, and agree, support, as well as meet the objects it sets.

This serial violence shows that the Communist Party is not a group fundamentally based on political power, but an evil cult persecuting humanity and spiritual values. In labour camps, I have seen various means used in this movement against Falun Gong all of which are deceitful, evil, and violent. While being persecuted, we have continuously and patiently told the policemen at different levels we’ve met that we didn’t do anything illegal, whereas what they have done is all illegal, and they have to be responsible for this. However, few of them would listen. Those people just need to bend the orders from higher authorities then they can be promoted and become rich, therefore, they would still do so even they know they’re illegal. It us only possible to carry out this large-scale persecution and to use people to this extent because the Communist Party has systematically destroyed all Chinese traditional moralities in Chinese history, systematically encouraging violent class conflicts, and using the worst side of human nature.

Being instilled by the Communist Party’s doctrines, people usually say that all countries, governments and parties are the same - they all have to maintain their own authority. In fact there is no political party like the Communist Party. In each country, different levels of injustice or human rights problems maybe exist, but that is caused by individuals, and not caused by the government carrying out its policy. However, there is not another political party that uses all of the nation’s machines in the same way as the Communist Party.

This evil ideology formed by the Communist Party such as instilling lies, provoking interpersonal conflicts, instigating violence etc, still poisons people. In this persecution, the real victims are not only us, Falun Gong practitioners, but also the people who are in all different levels of the Chinese government, public organizations, administrative bodies, law enforcement agencies etc, which have been used to persecute us, because they must eventually repay their guilt in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

To say that the Communist Party is evil is to say that the ideology it advocates is completely evil, but is not to criticize its party members. The Communist Party uses the worst side of human nature to make people fight with each other. Most people are used unknowingly. The best way to benevolently resolve the situation and stop this persecution and tribulation is to expose it, and let people know its deceitful, evil, and violent nature. We don’t want to do anything to anyone nor to any regime. As long as people are not deceived and used by it, and no longer engage in violence, no longer persecute one another, then everything naturally and peacefully benevolently resolved.
