Left Hand and Right Hand

Because I practise Falun Gong, the Chinese Consulate has refused to issue me a new passport. This is, on one hand, the evil’s persecution. On the other hand, when I looked into myself to figure out where my loophole was, the first reflection on my mind was: retribution! Immediately, I recalled that at the beginning of the evil persecution of Falun Gong, the Chinese consulate refused to extend the passport of a Dafa practitioner who was working for an organistion of Chinese venture residing in Germany and forced him to go back China. The practitioner came to me and asked about how the Chinese Dafa practitioners in Germany could apply for refugee status collectively. As there were quite a lot of different opinions about applying for refugee status among the practitioners in Germany, it made applying a very sensitive issue for practitioners. Although in my heart I wanted to help, I was afraid of bringing trouble to myself. At that time, I had a very bad selfish thought of protecting myself. I then purposely avoided his problem and did not regard his things as my things. I was thinking in my mind that I would definitely not encounter this kind of thing because my passport would not expire until 2004. It was better not to get myself into trouble. Later on, some other disciples also ran into the same problem one after another. For this matter, I should not have shirked responsibility, but should have taken my share of the responsibility. I feel guilty whenever it comes to my mind. This is mainly because I had not completely dissolved into Dafa at that time, had not completely become a Dafa particle, and did not regard other Dafa disciples as Dafa particles.

Although I did not mention to others my selfish thought of protecting myself, the deities would have seen it clearly. The old forces could also see it. It gave them an excuse to persecute me. It is not yet 2004, however, the pages of my passport have unexpectedly been used up. When I applied for a new passport, the Chinese consulate refused to issue me a new one. It caused me great trouble, working and living in Germany. The old forces carefully arranged for me to experience the same tribulation. Their excuse is “why didn’t you regard things of other Dafa particles as that of yours at the beginning? It is not our fault making you experience the same hardship, is it?”

This makes me think that some of our practitioners are indifferent to the continuous persecution of Dafa disciples in mainland China, to the latest arrests of overseas disciples one after another in mainland China, and to the tribulations undergone by Dafa disciples in our local area. As a Dafa particle, we should not be this way. Each of us is one of the particles of Dafa. It is like a particle of a single living being’s body. Taking a human being as an example, it is like a cell of a human body. When the left hand is being bitten by a snake, are the cells of the right hand thinking that it is a matter of the left hand and has nothing to do with the right hand? In actuality, we know that the cells of the right hand will by no means think like that. As a conditioned reflex, the right hand will attack the snake as sudden as lightening, to destroy it or drive it away. Likewise, we are Dafa particles. We will automatically react in good time when any particles of Dafa are being persecuted since this is the nature of our lives, the instinct of us Dafa particles to protect Dafa.

Sometimes, I am thinking that Dafa disciples are just like the left and right hand of a person. The endless disputes on occasion among Dafa disciples should not have occurred. When a person eats western-style food, his left hand holds a fork and his right hand holds knife. Both hands coordinate with each other very well. No one sees the left hand fight with the right hand for which side of the food, left or right should be cut first.

No matter whether the persecution is aiming at Dafa disciples in mainland China or overseas disciples, it is actually aiming at all Dafa disciples. Even if we are not the direct targets, we are still under the test of what is on our mind and how we react when other Dafa disciples are being persecuted. The indifference to the persecution of other Dafa disciples is by no means a state that a Dafa particle should be in. Master said in the Fa-lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference: “During this Fa-rectification I only look at beings' attitudes toward the Fa-rectification!” Our attitudes toward other Dafa particles are also a factor of placing our positions in the future.

I somewhat hesitated when I started to write this article. Although the old forces knew I had a selfish thought of protecting myself, fellow practitioners didn’t after all. Expose it or not? I found I had unwittingly fallen into the test of whether I could treat myself and other Dafa disciples as genuine Dafa particles. To be genuine Dafa particles, we must first be selfless and not self-centered. We can’t let the left hand follow the same old disastrous road that the right hand has taken. The left hand would also never mind what mistakes that right hand has made. If what I am writing here could be a warning for other Dafa particles and help everyone to cooperate with each other and take good care of each other like the left hand and right hand, I would feel fully satisfied.
