On Saturday, 7th November, the 2009 Czech and Slovak Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference took place in Brno. About 50 practitioners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia met together to share their cultivation experiences and talk about their efforts to raise awareness of the human rights abuses against fellow practitioners in China.
The atmosphere of the conference was solemn and respectful. About 15 practitioners read their experience sharing papers. One practitioner shared about cultivating herself working for the Czech branch of NTDTV. At first she couldn’t imagine being successful in this challenging role but under the guidance of our Master she eventually managed it.
One practitioner shared about giving out leaflets in small villages. She was not discouraged by the long distances she had to travel, nor by the dogs that were guarding the entrances to gardens, which she had to enter to post the leaflets.
Another practitioner shared about promoting the Shen Yun Performing Arts show and how, in order to do well, it is necessary to cultivate well and regularly practise the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.
One practitioner shared about the need to keep on going forward, and to listen to the opinion of others on the way. An older practitioner shared about hidden anger towards others, which caused his tooth to ache. The only way he could get his toothache to stop was by looking inside and improving his character.
The conference successfully concluded in the afternoon. A few new practitioners who attended the conference said that they were very happy to hear other practitioners’ experiences and thus have a chance to improve.
