Austria: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong in Linz

On the 11th and 18th of October, Falun Gong practitioners in Austria held an 'Information Day' in Schiller Park and Pigeon Square in the city of Linz. This was the first time that this kind of activity was held in these two places and attracted great interest from passers-by. Practitioners introduced Falun Gong to the people. They also exposed the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime and the regime’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

People sign a petition against illegal organ harvesting

Many people stopped to read poster displays. After carefully reading the information they asked, “What is this?” “What are they doing?” Practitioners then explained to them what Falun Gong is and the on-going persecution of Falun Gong in China.

People were very shocked that such an atrocity can still occur in modern times. Some people even asked if they could donate money to help practitioners. Practitioners told them that Falun Gong practitioners don’t collect donations. They only want to tell people the true situation occurring in China. If they want to support Falun Gong they could sign the petition against the persecution.

For a period of time, people formed a long queue to sign the petition. When the activity was about to end at 3:00pm, there was tide of people around the Falun Gong stand. Most of them came to sign the petition. Some wanted to learn Falun Gong exercises and others wanted to learn about Falun Gong.
