On August 11th 2007, in scorching sun from 10am to 4pm, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki held an activity in the Esplanade Park located in the centre of the city. The activity was to expose the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the persecution of Falun Gong for the past eight years. Specially emphasised was the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners to make sudden profits and destroy all evidence by cremating the victims' bodies.

| Learning the truth about Falun Gong |
In summer, Finland is one of the best resorts for sightseeing for tourists from all around the world. This day, the park was crowded with foreign tourists and local people. The Falun Gong practitioners distributed leaflets and put up banners and posters to demonstrate to people the horrifying persecution that practitioners in China have suffered for the past eight years for their belief in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”. Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

An elderly couple from the US, upon accepting flyers from a practitioner, said that they had seen many Falun Gong practitioners when they were in the US and they know the truth about Falun Gong. They also said that the Olympic Games should not be held in Beijing if the CCP does not stop persecuting Falun Gong.

A Finnish man passed by the posters and said to a practitioner: “I have read a book about Mao Zedong before. I know that the communist party has done many bad things. The persecution of Falun Gong is a new crime of the communist regime.”
Three tourists from Italy accepted flyers in English. One of them said: “We know about Falun Gong. They are a special group of people and they are very nice. We know that the CCP has committed many bad things and is persecuting Falun Gong.” They shook hands with the practitioner before they left and said: “The persecution will stop soon.”

Two Spanish tourists, looking like a grandfather and grandson, told a practitioner that they knew about Falun Gong and the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. They said that the CCP must stop the persecution if they want to hold the Olympic Games in Beijing.
After talking to a practitioner, a Finnish lady said: “I hope the Chinese people will be free soon, so that you can go home freely.”

A Finish young man, learning about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong in the past eight years and its harvesting of organs form living Falun Gong practitioners, took a lot of Chinese material placed on the table, including the Nine Commentaries on Communist Party and information about quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, as well as a Falun Gong booklet. He said that a Chinese colleague of his had said ill things about Falun Gong to him, but he knew that he was wrong and he would ask him to read the information and learn the truth.
Many Chinese tourists passed by the park and accepted information materials. When practitioners informed them that twenty five million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations, they indicated that they would read the materials to learn more. The practitioner urged them to read the Nine Commentaries carefully and quit the CCP as soon as possible.
