A practitioner appeals to save her father
On April 14th, 2007, a group of Finnish practitioners went to the central railway station to tell people that the CCP has never stopped the horrible persecution of Falun Gong. They appealed to the Finnish government and people to give a helping hand, to stop this eight year cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China who believe in truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.

Passersby were attracted to the banners, graphic picture scenes and the schoolgirl’s speech on this beautiful sunny day. Only to hear: My name is Sunny, and I am a university student from China and came to study in Helsinki this January. On the afternoon of March the 20th my father Zhang Weijie, living in the suburbs of Wuhang City, suddenly disappeared. After many days of inquiry, our family members learned that my father was kidnapped on his way home from work by the“610 Office”, a Gestapo like organisation, in Wuhang City only because he practices Falun Gong. This is the third time that my father had been kidnapped after July, 1999, the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong. Because my father refused to give up the practice, he was subjected to brainwashing classes and a forced labour camp imprisonment. My mother also served one month in a forced labour camp during that time. Thus, my happy and harmonious family disappeared; my grandparents were left with no one to care for them and our entire family was in serious financial difficulty. Later they were released, but they were continuously under surveillance.
Now, they kidnapped my father again, and I am in a foreign country. I am extremely concerned after I learned that the prevalence of organs being harvested from live Falun Gong practitioners.
I started practicing Falun Gong with my mother when I was only six years old and I have benefited both physically and emotionally; I also believe that my belief in “Truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance” is correct. Therefore, I hope that the Government of Finland can lend a helping hand in rescuing my father. What happened to my father is only the tip of the iceberg. While I am writing to you, at this brief moment, there are already tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted. I sincerely hope that the Government of Finland can help to rescue those kind and innocent people who are being persecuted in China.

People read and listened and signed their names right after they learned the facts. Some went to the practitioners and asked, "Why does the CCP persecute Falun Gong. What can we do to help? What have the Finnish government done? You have done good and right and should let all the world know about this persecution".

There were a lot of people interested in Falun Gong. One Finnish lady approached a practitioner and said, "I found Falun Gong on the internet a year ago, and then I practiced myself. When I practiced it, I can feel the strong energy field, it is pretty good". After that, she asked for the practitioner’s phone number and email address, details of the collective exercise-cite in Helsinki. When leaving, she said: "I am very happy to see you, I will be back to find you".
Almost every Chinese person who passed by that day accepted Chinese leaflets, the Epoch Times's editorial "Nine Commentaries on the CCP". In particular two or three mainland tourists were eager to know the truth. One of them asked a practitioner to help him quit the Young Pioneers on the Epoch Times’ website.
