On October 5th and 6th, the Student Society ‘‘Friends of Falun Gong’’ at Bristol University participated in the 2006 Freshers Fair at the Student Union building.

Every year, thousands of students come to visit the Fresher’s Fair. Many people took our leaflets and remained to talk to us, and there were many who have already heard of the persecution. About twenty students joined our society; some people were very interested in learning the exercises.
Some Chinese students who probably just came out of China, did not dare to talk to us or take material as a result of the terrible environment forced on the Chinese people by the CCP, but they could clearly see the banners ‘’Falun Gong is good’’ and ‘’Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’’ in both Chinese and English. They could understand that Falun Gong is popular outside China and also the English young students were practising right in full view of them.
Many Chinese students came to our exhibition table, we told them that how we had benefited from cultivating Falun Gong; some of them encouraged us to continue to practice, some of them just left after reading our newspaper, also there were some of them who did not dare to take leaflets. A young man who was working for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association took a copy of the independent report on the CCP harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners by Canadians Matas and Kilgour. Another Chinese student who is a Christian also expressed his interest in learning Falun Gong.
