During Hu Jintao’s visit to Germany earlier this month, he was scheduled to hold a meeting with the president of Siemens. Reacting to this event, German Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in front of Siemens headquarters on November 7th before Hu’s visit. The purpose was to show Siemens employees what Falun Gong is, the persecution Falun Gong practitioners have been suffering in China and why the Chinese Communist regime has committed the crime of genocide against Falun Gong. The practitioners tried to awaken people’s sense of justice and called upon them to help stop the persecution.

Many Siemens employees, including several high-level executives and people who came to Siemens on business, saw the exhibition. Some of them stopped to look at the photos and information boards. A lot of people accepted Falun Gong flyers and materials that focused on the role that business and investment has played in funding the wide scale human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners.

At the very beginning of the exhibition, a woman came to provide help when she saw practitioners were busy setting things up. The owner of a store nearby reminded practitioners to contact more media organizations for providing news coverage so that more people would have the opportunity to learn the truth. At the end of the exhibition, a lady working in a pharmacy brought hot drinks for the practitioners. She said practitioners had been outside for the whole day and the specially made beverage would warm them up.
