On the 17th of September, practitioners from the Uppsala region of Sweden held an anti-torture exhibition and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration in Uppsala, in order to inform the local people about Falun Gong and the ongoing persecution against the practice in China.
Uppsala is a city with a long history that lies fairly close to Stockholm. The town has more than 100,000 inhabitants and about 500 of them are Chinese exchange students who are studying at the well-known Uppsala University.

Activities were held along the main shopping street. The contrast between the harmonious exercise demonstration and the brutal torture exhibition moved the hearts of many people. Large numbers of people stopped to watch the scene. They had the chance to take leaflets and sign a petition calling for an end to the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners.
Many people asked the same questions: “Why are such things happening in this world?” “How I can help you?” Many people signed their names on the petition sheet. After knowing the truth, one girl asked her friends to come to the site and sign their names on the petition sheet. One gentleman signed his name and then called his relatives and told them to come and have a look at the exhibition.

We came in contact with many Chinese people throughout the activities. Two students from Mainland China accepted leaflets and Video-CDs as they talked with practitioners. When asked if they knew about the current situation in China, they said, “Do not forget that we are not in China any more, we can see and know everything now. The society has already reached the information age; the evil CCP cannot cheat Chinese people in the long run.”

We can see that people are constantly awakening. More and more people, both inside and outside China, are starting to see through the lies propagated by the CCP and they are starting to oppose the persecution. The day when the evil people, who beat and kill Falun Gong practitioners, will receive their sentence draws nearer.
