The South Island of New Zealand is located south of the Pacific Ocean and isn't very far from the South Pole. Although the majority of people on the South Island are kind-hearted, there was a young man there who liked fighting with others. He was so tough that he was claimed as having "no opponent on the West Coast." Xiao Hu often drank alcohol and took drugs. On several occasions he was brought to the police station, but because he was too young, he was released without being charged.
Xiao Hu has two brothers. Their parents were divorced when the boys were young and the three brothers were separated. His second brother lived on the South Island with his mother. He and his eldest brother lived with his father on the North Island. His second brother became bored with life, wandered between the North and South islands, drank wine and started smoking. As he grew older, his second brother wondered about the meaning of life and why human beings live.
By chance, his second brother found the book, Zhuan Falun which contains the core teachings of Falun Gong. After reading it, he finally began to understand the real meaning of life and started Falun Dafa cultivation practice.
One day Xiao Hu called his brother and said, "I miss you very much. Can I come to stay with you?" His brother was touched and felt a special predestined relationship with Xiao Hu -- they would be on the same path in future.
After Xiao Hu came to live with his brother, he would often fight with others, drank wine and made a lot of noise, which in turn interfered with his brother's reading and made his brother worry about him. His brother drove a long way to have an experience exchange with other practitioners, who lived far away. As there were not many practitioners living nearby in the vast region, he spent over one hundred dollars for gas.
After studying Falun Dafa books and talking with other practitioners, his brother became clear that as a practitioner, his heart should not be moved, however Xiao Hu behaved. After returning home, he became more attentive about Xiao Hu's daily life, and Xiao Hu started to improve--however, not for long, as Xiao Hu hurt someone in a fight and the injured person was sent to the hospital.
His brother drove to visit fellow practitioners again, who suggested that Xiao Hu be encouraged to learn Falun Dafa. They felt that if Xiao Hu could practise Falun Dafa, his life would have real hope. His brother disclosed that Xiao Hu had requested his help when he was drunk. Each time, his brother asked Xiao Hu to learn Dafa, and he agreed that he would. But after he sobered up, he denied that he wanted to practise.
Actually, Xiao Hu had browsed the Dafa books before. He knew the Falun Dafa was good. He wondered if Master Li would take care of him since he was so bad. He even had read all of his brother's Dafa books, but he had not yet decided to practise.
One time, when he was half awake, Xiao Hu saw Master Li's law body from Master Li's portrait, looking at him very kindly but with a regretful expression for quite a while. Xiao Hu cried. One day, Xiao Hu sent an email message to everyone he knew on the South Island. He said in the message, "I wandered for two years outside the door. I thought that Master Li would not want bad people like me. However, Master Li is so compassionate and did not let me go. I have decided to become a Falun Dafa practitioner from today onwards."

After practising Falun Gong, Xiao Hu got rid of all his bad habits and found a job selling fruit in a fruit stall. He puts lots of leaflets and newspapers in his stall to expose the persecution and explains the facts of Falun Gong to people whenever he gets a chance. He participates in activities to let more people learn about Falun Gong and the persecution that is taking place against it on the island along with his brother and other practitioners.
