On Sunday the 18th of April 2004, Pi Haaton, the student newspaper of the Hebrew university of Jerusalem, published an article that reveals the true story of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The article used an example of the horror of the persecution of Wei Shingyan, a Chinese research student who was brutally raped and than kidnapped because she practised Falun Gong and lived by the principles of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. The article states that not only did Wei suffer tremendously, but also in order to cover up the facts of this Illegal persecution the university authorities kidnapped dozens of students and members of the faculty.
The article tells the story of the unique spread of Falun gong in China and the rest of the world and continues to discuss the evil motives that brought former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin to instigate the unprecedented persecution against Falun Gong. The article concluded with a quote from the Oxford university "Faith and Freedom" magazine, calling the world’s people to seize the precious time we have and help to end this persecution.
