Every year, there is a big multicultural music festival held for three days in Karlsruhe’s Goethe Square, which always attracts over 100,000 people. Dafa practitioners rented a stall over the weekend so that they could tell people about the brutal persecution against practitioners in China and the unprecedented lawsuit launched against the persecution’s instigator, dictator Jiang Zemin.

A lot of the festival-goers were young people and many of them did not turn up until the evening, so practitioners ran the stall until 10pm. Practitioners from other German cities also came to help. On that day, the weather was very hot (36°C). However, as soon as the exercise practice began, practitioners felt a cool and gentle breeze blowing.

Although the music was loud and there was an enormous amount of people, practitioners still peacefully demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, distributed flyers, collected signatures to rescue ex-Berlin student Xiong Wei who is imprisoned in China, and talked to people. Many people were interested in finding out more.

This was a good opportunity to let people know about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Besides, we had many experiences through talking to different people and learned a lot, which will allow us to tell people the facts more thoroughly and deeply in the future.
