On the afternoon of November 6th, a Eutelsat shareholder conference was held in Neuilly France. As it was the last conference of 2008, near 200 shareholders from all over the world attended. At the same time, nearly a hundred supporters of the New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) protested outside the conference venue, requesting the satellite company to resume the channel’s broadcast to Asia. |

On October 22nd, 2008, three members of the European Parliament and representatives from New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) held a joint press conference in the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. They called on the European Parliament and its president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to be concerned and take immediate action in pressuring Eutelsat in France to resume NTDTV's broadcast into China. |

On October 9th, 2008, a Conference of Ministers from 27 countries was held at the Congress Centre in Luxembourg. An activity was also held by the European Branch of New Tang Dynasty TV regarding Eutelsat's decision to stop NTDTV's signal into mainland China. Participants displayed appeal banners and distributed leaflets.

| Eutelsat Has Not Formally Explained Why NTDTV Broadcasts to China Have Stopped [03.07.2008] |
The signal for New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV), an independent Chinese media, went down in China on June 17 due to "technical difficulties" with the W5 satellite operated by Eutelsat Communications. Hong Kaili, the spokesperson for NTDTV, said on June 28 that Eutelsat has yet to give NTDTV any formal explanation.
