Monika learned at the information booth that the persecution of the Falun Gong practitioners had lasted for more than ten years. She expressed sadness for the ongoing persecution. She said, "I think the persecution is very cruel and breaks my heart." She signed the petition in support of stopping the persecution immediately and expressed her wishes that the practitioners in China regain the freedom to practise.

Falun Dafa practitioners organised two activities in Larnaca on 11th and 13th October 2009 in order to introduce the practice to the native people and the city visitors. They displayed banners with information about Falun Dafa and the persecution, which the practitioners in China have experienced for more than a decade.

During the week of October 12-18, 2009, the International Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held at the Anaid Art Gallery in Bucharest, near the Parliament. Despite cold and rainy weather, many visitors came to view the exhibition. The event started with a press conference attended by the main cultural TV station in Romania - TVR Cultural.

September 20, 2009 is World Children's Day in Germany. On September 19, Falun Gong practitioners held an information day on Kropke Square in Hannover. The theme of the activity was "World Children's Day, Pay Attention to Falun Gong Orphans in China". Dortmund football fans came to the information desk to read posters and sign the petition in support of Falun Gong.

On September 12 2009, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to take part in a local community event in Marly-le-Roi, a quiet city about 9 miles west of Paris. The focus of the activity, sponsored by the local government, was to showcase the local artistic, educational, and sporting opportunities that are available to residents for their enjoyment and enrichment.

On September 19-20 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland visited their beautiful neighbouring country of Estonia to attend the 15th Health Expo. It was held at the Lauluväljakilla Park in the capital of Tallinn. They introduced Falun Gong and exposed the CCP's brutal persecution of the practice over the last ten years.

On August 13, 2009, the annual Multi-Cultural Festival Day took place in Warsaw. The European Divine Land Marching Band took part in the parade and brought the good news of Falun Dafa to the Polish people. On the previous day, the marching band came to the local Chinatown and also in front of the Chinese embassy, and performed.

On August 15, 2009, Turkish practitioners held a rally in Istanbul's famous Taksim Square to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s criminal persecution of Falun Gong. They called on the Turkish people to help to put an end to the decade-long brutal persecution. Three of Turkey's largest news agencies and Turkey's largest newspaper dispatched reporters to cover the event.

From July 27 to August 2, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark went on a car tour around eight major Danish cities outside of Copenhagen to introduce Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and to raise awareness about the persecution in China.

On August 9, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from UK were again invited to take part in the famous parade of Edinburgh International Arts Festival. The Falun Gong procession consisted of banners, dancers, a float with the theme of "Falun Dafa is Good" and a waist drum group. Dancers in brightly-coloured costumes moved gracefully with fans in their hands.

To expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong, the French Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in the National Assembly on the date marking the tenth year of the CCP's persecution of the practice.

In order to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) decade-long persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners in Sweden held a car tour, stopping in a number of cities to hold activities. The tour started from Copenhagen on July 11th 2009 before moving into Sweden and stopping in various cities where people signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Recently, the Truth-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition began a month-long tour in the Russian capital of Moscow. At the National Gallery, the exhibition has attracted people from all walks of life. MP Waquar Beauvoir, who attended the opening ceremony in the Moscow District said, "The International Art Exhibition is bright, and makes you feel good."

The inspiring and moving paintings from the Uncompromising Courage Art Exhibition were displayed in Westminster, London on 20th July 2009. Many members of the public had the chance to be guided around the beautiful exhibition, which narrated the often untold story of the traditional Chinese self-improvement practice, Falun Gong.

Falun Dafa practitioners from Bosnia and Hercegovina held an event in the centre of Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Hercegovina, to commemorate the ten years of human rights abuses that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has waged against Falun Gong and to call for an immediate end to the persecution and the disintegration of the CCP.

On Monday July 20th, Falun Gong practitioners in Liechtenstein called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China by holding an activity in front of the parliament and government buildings in Vaduz, the capital city. It was the first official event organised by the newly founded Falun Dafa Association in Liechtenstein.

On July 11, practitioners held a rally and march in front of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin calling for the disintegration of the CCP and an end to the persecution. Representatives from German Falun Dafa Association, Society for Threatened Peoples and International Society for Human Rights gave speeches at the rally.

At 5:00 p.m. on July 1, 2009, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition opened at the Moscow National Exhibition Hall. Local cultural officials, the manager of the exhibition hall, and several artists came to give congratulatory speeches at the grand opening. Reporters also attended the ceremony.

On March 14 2009, the New York Shen Yun Performing Arts company went to Norway for the first time, doing two performances in the Oslo Music Hall to the audience's delight. It might have surprised some in the audience that the show could not have happened without the tireless efforts of volunteers, many of whom were Westerners promoting a show mainly focused on Eastern culture. Mr. Peder Giertsen was one of those people. We had the chance to do an interview with Mr. Giertsen in New York.

On June 28 in Human Rights Square beside the Eiffel Tower, a group of Falun Gong practitioners gathered, as they have often done in the past. Some of them were doing the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, others were talking to other people about the exercises and the persecution happening in China. Many locals and tourists from around the world passed by.

On June 27, 2009, a delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime visited the well-known University of Freiburg in Germany. Some Falun Gong practitioners, when hearing of this, went to protest the ten-year long brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP and let more people know about Falun Gong.

On June 27, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to attend the World Day activities in Brugge, Belgium to introduce Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) to the public. Falun Gong practitioners first attended this activity three years ago and since then the activity host has actively contacted and invited practitioners to attend annually.

On Saturday June 27, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK came again to the town of Penzance in the Southwest England to participate the annual Golowan Festival. In the festival, Falun Gong practitioners performed group exercises, set up an information table and participated in the parade. Several media outlets interviewed the Falun Gong practitioners.

On June 20 2009, many people who passed by the middle bridge in Basel, Switzerland noticed the poster exhibition at the foot of the bridge. The posters included photos of Falun Gong group exercises around the world and of practitioners tortured by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Having seen the exhibits, many passersby talked to the practitioners to find out more.

The European Falun Dafa Association is pleased to announce the establishment of the Liechtenstein Falun Dafa Association.

On June 20 2009, the Ukraine Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Dnipropetrovsk. It was the first such conference held in this city. Ten practitioners shared their cultivation experiences on stage. On June 21, the practitioners held a march in Dnipropetrovsk.

Practitioners gathered on Zagreb's main square, handed out flyers and demonstrated the exercises. This peaceful gathering drew a lot of media attention. Most people had never heard about Falun Gong and were shocked to see the images of practitioners being tortured in China. The question on everyone's lips was, "Why are these people tortured?"

On the afternoon of June 7th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the Arnavutkoy Festival in the Besiktas District of Istanbul. They also gave a musical performance and handed out paper lotus flowers and flyers to introduce Falun Gong to the attendees. Many people expressed interest in Falun Gong and asked practitioners for more information.

On May 29th 2009, the Turkish version of Zhuan Falun was officially published, and is being carried in bookstores around the country. Zhuan Falun is the most important book among many works that have been published by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. Zhuan Falun is the main book that systematically guides Falun Gong practitioners to cultivate.

From June 1st to 3rd 2009, the Truth, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition was successfully held in one of Turkey’s cities, Antakya, which usually has the beautiful name of “the city of great forbearance”. The event received favourable comments from the local people of all backgrounds. Some important local media reported on this exhibition.

June 6 2009 was Sweden's National Day. Staff from the Northern European Service Centre for Quitting the CCP and Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in Stockholm. They displayed photos about Falun Gong and the persecution taking place in China. They hoped to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party.

On May 28, the Belgian High Court held a hearing on a telephone harassment case brought by two Belgian Falun Gong practitioners against the Chinese Communist regime's 610 office. Representing the two plaintiffs, internationally renowned human rights lawyer Mr. G. H. Beauthier requested that the Belgian Justice Department take further legal action in investigating this case.

On May 24, Falun Dafa practitioners from all Balkans countries, as well as from Austria, Germany, Spain and the United States, gathered in Bulgaria's capital Sofia for the first First Balkans Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference. Fifteen practitioners from Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Spain and other countries shared their experiences.

From the 30th of May to the 1st of June 2009, Salzburg celebrated the annual Pfingsten holiday. During this time, Falun Gong practitioners in Austria held activities at Residenzplatz in the centre of the city to let people know about Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocities of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

The Vice-President of the European Parliament, Mr Edward McMillan-Scott, organised a press conference at London's Foreign Press Association recently. He invited experts on China, scholars and Falun Gong practitioners who suffered persecution, to expose the genocidal crimes of the Chinese Communist regime's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

On April 25 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK held a day-long commemorative activity in London. This included demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises and holding a peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy, hosting a press conference, and holding a parade through central London and Chinatown.

Mr. Li Zhihe is a witness of the peaceful appeal in 1999. He spoke to staff members in the Chinese Embassy through a loudspeaker. He talked about how the 610 Office persecuted him and his family because he went to the State Council Appeals Office to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa.

The practitioners talked to local people about the human rights atrocities that the regime in China has committed against Falun Gong practitioners including torture, the harvesting of organs from living practitioners, and the deaths of over 3000 innocent practitioners. Although it was cold and raining on the day, many people stopped to listen, took flyers, and signed a petition to show their support.

“It is very important that you clarify the truth to the Finns. You should contact the Finnish government and MPs so that they would not see only the economic situation with China. They should say no to the CCP’s persecution. In history, the Finns knew that the Soviet Union was bad. People should know about the (evil nature of the) CCP. ”

On November 15th, 2008, more than a thousand Falun Gong practitioners from twenty-five countries in Europe and Asia held a large scale parade in Berlin, appealing to Europeans and the rest of the world to pay attention to human rights and religious issues in China.

On the 11th and 18th of October, Falun Gong practitioners in Austria held an 'Information Day' in Schiller Park and Pigeon Square in the city of Linz. This was the first time that this kind of activity was held in these two places and attracted great interest from passers-by.

The 2008 European Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference was successfully held in Berlin, Germany on November 16th. Practitioners from more than 30 countries participated in the Conference. 18 practitioners shared their own experiences and understandings of how to cultivate themselves. The Conference atmosphere was both warm and solemn. The Conference came to a successful conclusion with a reading of the Complementary Message sent by Falun Dafa's founder, Mr Li Hongzhi.

On August 23rd, Falun Gong practitioners went to Mynttorg Square in Stockholm, to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP. Practitioners also exposed incidents of the CCP harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and provided an opportunity for Chinese people to withdraw from the CCP.

When the police heard that Falung Gong practitioners are brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime, immediately their attitude softened. They told practitioners, “There are not many people in this park. If you want to let more people know the truth, you have to find a place with many people."

The 20th Russian Child Expo was held at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre from November 1st until the 5th. With over 120 organisations participating, the Expo attracted a lot of visitors and concluded with great success. Russian Falun Gong practitioners were also invited to participate in the event.

On the 23rd and 24th of August, 2008, the Irish Dun Laoghaire global cultural art festival opened on the seashore, to the south of the capital Dublin. This year, eight hundred artists and thousands of performers from around the world participated. Performances spread over one hundred and fifty sites in the town. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to join the festival, making this the fourth time they had attended.

From September 26th, with the exception of Sunday, two Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Embassy in Oslo every day, where they performed the Falun Gong exercises and distributed leaflets to protest against China's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Some people come to look at the panels and some collect Falun Gong material, the car drivers deliberately slow down and some give the thumbs sign up out of the window to express their understanding and support and some specially come to send greetings.

A series of petition rallies to raise awareness about human rights abuses in China took place in eastern Slovakia at the end of October 2008. Practitioners of Falun Gong visited cities of Presov, Kosice, Spisska Nova Ves and Michalovce, in order for the people there to learn about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The Falun Gong booth was filled with information. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and showed festival-goers how to fold paper lotus flowers. Others distributed information about the persecution, or promoted the Divine Performing Arts show in Antwerp.

The ‘Create Your Universe’ Project was held in the city of Blagoevgrad, psychologists from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia and Turkey attended. Bulgarian Falun Gong practitioners were invited to share the benefits they obtained from practising Falun Gong, a Chinese cultivation system for mind and body.

During the experience sharing conference, participants talked about Master’s compassion, the power of Falun Gong and the personal physical and psychological benefits from the practice. All addressed the importance of removing personal attachments and the process of studying the principles of Falun Dafa.

Volunteers from the UK 'Quitting the CCP Service Centre' have been raising awareness and persuading their countrymen to “quit from the three organizations of the CCP” in Chinatown, London for more than two years. They returned recenty to raise awareness about the 'poisoned milk incident' in China.

On August 30th, 2008, in Aarhus city centre, a "Falun Gong is good" banner was particularly eye catching in the Autumn sunshine. In front of the banner, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and raised awareness about the persecution of the practice in China.

Though the three month long 2008 Zaragoza Expo in Spain has come to a close, the Expo site has become a famous tourist attraction for holiday makers. Falun Gong practitioners came to the tiny park near the Pasarela Delvoluntariado, one of the Expo’s landmark facilities, to raise awareness about Falun Gong and expose the inhuman genocidal persecution in China.

On August 20th and 21st, Falun Gong practitioners in Turkey held activities in a square in a busy commercial area of Istanbul, raising awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution taking place in China. Many people were attracted by the exercise demonstration and came over to find out more.

On the eve of the Olympic Games in Beijing, the Association of Falun Gong in the Czech Republic organized a 24 hour vigil for dead practitioners of the Falun Gong meditation practice who were killed by the Chinese communist regime. The activity also pointed out that 1.3 million people demand a stop to the persecution of Falun Gong in a world-wide petition.

In the days leading up to the Olympics, Croatian practitioners contacted local media in order to let them know the the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution. Prompted by a documentary shown on Croatian National Television ( HRT ) in which Falun Gong was referred to as a "sect", directly repeating the Chinese Communist Party's slanderous propaganda, the practitioners immediately focused on intensively contacting the Croatian media in order to expose the CCP's lies and allow the Croation people to hear the truth.

On July 18, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Holland gathered at the Chinese Embassy in The Hague and protested the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) nine-year-long persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioners had a group exercise practice, sent forth righteous thoughts and distributed leaflets exposing the CCP's atrocities and calling for an end to the persecution.

On July 20, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in front of Chinese Consulate in Milan to protest against the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) nine-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Eye-catching banners worded “Falun Dafa is good” and “Protest Against CCP’s brutal killing of Falun Gong practitioners in Labour Camps” were hung across the road from the Chinese Consulate and along the street.

On Saturday July 19th, UK Falun Dafa practitioners held a protest and candlelight vigil opposite the Chinese Embassy in London. The protest was to mark the nine years of persecution against Falun Gong and to commemorate the thousands of practitioners who have lost their lives at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.

Together with NTDTV in Europe and two other groups, MPs of political parties in the European Parliament held a joint news conference, strongly condemning the closure of NTDTV’s broadcast signals in Asia by the Eutelsat Company before the Beijing Olympics.
