The horrifying discovery of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and the immediate cremation of their bodies to destroy the evidence was first reported on March 4th, 2006. The Falun Gong Association and the Minghui and Clearwisdom websites started the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG). CIPFG is collecting evidence from people who have come forward with information and is calling on people who know the truth to further reveal the details of the crimes concerning illegal organ harvesting in China. We call on all people of conscience to help expose the facts of this vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners inside secret concentration camps, forced labour camps, prisons, and hospitals in China.

How do the veteran inmates know for sure if these practitioners are killed for their organs instead of being released? Firstly, these people will not promise to stop practising Falun Gong, so there is no way they will be released. Second, practitioners are taken to an isolated room. Many doctors dressed in white will go to the room and collect them, and they are never seen again. One day a new prisoner was put in our cell. He told us that a practitioner's family was arguing with the guards outside. They questioned why their relative had died so suddenly and why the body was cremated before it was shown to the family. The inmates were puzzled. After all, that practitioner was alive when he was removed from the cell two days ago. How could he die so suddenly? He must have been murdered. Why did they deny his family the right to see the body before cremation? It is because his organs had been removed. Think about it. They harvest organs from executed prisoners, why wouldn't they go one step further?

In 2003, I was arrested in Beijing when explaining the facts about Falun Dafa, and sentenced to two years of forced labour, served at the Beijing Women's Labour Camp. After being released from the camp, I was shocked to read the reports about the Communist Party's live harvesting of practitioners' organs for profit! I immediately recalled the physicals we were forced to undergo two to three times a year inside the camp. They may have been for organ harvesting purposes. They gave me three major physicals when I was at the camp in less than two years. They would always test our blood as well, telling us the purpose was to "check for hepatitis."

David Matas, a member of a Canadian independent investigation team, held a press conference and a forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 10th, 2006, to introduce an investigative report about the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. As an eyewitness, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Jing talked about her involuntary blood test and how she was persecuted. One of the practitioners jailed with her "was sent to a remote place and may never return."

Using the guise of physical exams for health reasons and other deceitful methods, the Chinese Communist Party conduct blood tests of Falun Gong practitioners in detention and establish blood sample data banks. When a patient needs a transplant they enter the patient's blood data into a computer, and when the blood type matches a Falun Gong practitioner in the database the practitioner is confirmed as the donor. According to insiders, it goes something like this: Falun Gong practitioners who are confirmed as organ donors are brought out of the prison and lose their names. They are given a code name; this code name is actually the name of a fabricated "volunteer" who voluntarily donates the organ. The practitioner is sent for a "physical exam" and anaesthetised, and then the organ is removed and transplanted into the body of the patient.

On August 26th, 2006, only six miles away from the Sujiatun District, Liaoning Province (the secret concentration camp that witnesses claimed harvested organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners), the truth of this horrible crime was broadcast to the area by practitioners who successfully tapped into the local cable TV network. Local people said they watched the programme exposing the persecution for about an hour and a half. The day after, Central Public Security Bureau officials started a large-scale harassment of local Falun Dafa practitioners. At least ten Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested, and practitioners were forced to have their fingerprints taken.

After the evidence of organ-harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was disclosed to the world, I was reminded of a group of practitioners who were taken to a mental hospital by the police at the end of 1999. There were at least twenty of them from all over the country. Where are they today? How are they? 1n 1999, many Dafa practitioners went to Beijing to speak about the facts of Falun Dafa to the central government leaders. However, agents from the local public security bureau blocked the appeals offices. Very soon thereafter, two buses appeared, and the Falun Gong practitioners were loaded into them, and I was surprised when we were abruptly taken far away and put in jail. Those of us who refused to identify ourselves were detained.

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Fu Keshu and Mr. Xu Genli arrived at the Jinggang Mountains on the evening of November 16th, 2005. On November 17th they left the hotel but never returned. On April 30th, 2006, the family got a phone call from the Jinggangshan City Police Department, "A male body was found at Jinggang Mountain wearing...clothes. It was Xu Genli's body. The head had been shaved; there was a large hole on the forehead that exposed the brain. Both eyeballs were missing; the flesh around the sockets had ulcerated; there were two black holes on the nose. The chest and abdomen had been cut open. Later they found Fu Keshu's body. It had suffered very similar treatment. Based on these findings, it is suspected that Fu Keshu and Xu Genli were murdered and their organs were harvested.

China's Central Television's (CCTV) aired an actual organ transplant segment in a TV programme entitled, "Life and Death Reversal" on May 26th and 27th, 2006. It was decided that Beijing patient Song Yongle would go to Dalian City to undergo heart transplant surgery in February 2005. The suspicious point is that that Xinhua Hospital affiliated with Dalian University had in February quickly set the transplant surgery date for March 5th. The programme mentioned that the time elapsed from the moment of the donor's brain death to the removal of the heart and lung was no more than six minutes. The donor's organ removal surgery started at 7:00 a.m. and finished at 7:55 a.m. on March 5th, which means the donor must have been alive during the period of 55 minutes.

On May 16th, 2006, 54-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhao Tingyun's family were informed that the police was going to conduct the second autopsy on Zhao Tingyun. When Ms. Zhao's family rushed to the funeral home, they saw more than ten police cars and many police officers. They followed and monitored the family. When the legal medical examiner removed the stitches from the previous autopsy, only three internal organs were left -- the intestines, the bladder, and the womb. All the others had disappeared. The left side of the chest cavity looked normal but the right side had congealed blood and adhesions.

Guo Tieying is in his forties. He is a member of the "Transformation Team" in charge of brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners at the Benxi Labour Camp under the Public Security Bureau in Liaoning Province. He once wickedly said to a practitioner at the Masanjia Labour Camp, "If you continue to behave like this ... you will be sent somewhere, sentenced to ten years in prison and get your name removed from records. You will be called a number instead." Several days before this practitioner was released on bail for medical treatment, a police officer said to her, "You are a lucky survivor."

Over five years ago I was detained at the Huairou detention centre in Beijing. Because I would not tell them my name, the ward threatened to send me to northwest China and that I would never come home again if I refused to tell my name. Only now do I realise that this was not just a threat, it was for sure. None of the arrested practitioners would tell their names and addresses, since we knew from classified documents of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that whenever a Falun Gong practitioner appealed, the spouse of the practitioner would be fired and fined 8000 to 10000 yuan, and from the officials in his/her workplace to the police department and police substation, all would be punished.

In 2001, a young and pretty female practitioner from Pingdu was transferred to the labour camp where I was detained. She was in her 30s, and she remained firm in her belief. In 2003, when it was time to release her, a police vehicle came to pick her up -- usually, family members or the local police pick up the practitioners. Yet, police picked up the practitioner from Pingdu, still handcuffed. She was divorced and had no family members. Policewoman Li Ying later told me, "Do you know where she was taken to?" It seemed like the policewoman wanted to tell me something but did not dare to. She paused for a while and said, "She was not taken to her home, that's for sure."

In July and August 2000, group heads at the Wuhan City Drug Rehabilitation Centre transported more than twenty Dafa practitioners incarcerated in two vehicles to the Wuhan City No. 1 Hospital. This is the designated hospital for labour camps and detention centres. The practitioners were taken there for a physical exam for all in the group. According to a fellow practitioner who was present, it seemed like a physical exam for the guards, but they mixed the practitioners with the guards to also be examined. All routine exams were conducted at the time, including liver exam, other organs, EKG, eye exam, blood pressure, testing for infectious diseases and B-ultrasound, among others.

Since the secret concentration camps were exposed, I reflected on my own experience. I realized that practitioners riding on the same buses as me and held in various parts of Liaoning Province, were perhaps again transferred to concentration camps similar to Sujiatun and lost their lives to organ harvesting. I was arrested after appealing with other practitioners on Tiananmen Square. All practitioners refused to tell their names and addresses. We were transferred by buses to the border between Liaoning Province and Hebei Province and tortured in a dtention centre. Due to fear I eventually told my name and address and I was returned to my local area.

On the morning of January 1st, 2001, large buses filled with Dafa practitioners were dispatched from the Tiananmen Police Station. Armed police stood next to the windows inside the buses. Close to noon, after a long time of driving, the buses arrived at the gate of a detention centre. All of the practitioners were held in rooms, about 20 per room. Someone knocked on all the doors and said, "Young people, come out." One young woman practitioner inside our room, between 20 years and 30 years of age, looked at the rest of us, stood up and said, "I'm young, I'll leave first." Why did they call for young people to come out first? This thought flashed across my mind.

On December 30th, 2000, I was arrested and sent to the Xicheng Detention Centre because I held a banner at Tiananmen Square. At that time, many practitioners were arrested. We refused to cooperate with the authorities and refused to tell them our name and address, and held a hunger strike to protest the unjust arrests, requesting to be released unconditionally. Everyone was numbered, and I was given No. 779. The police yelled, "If you don't tell us your name and address, we will send you to the northeast!" On January 6th, 2001 many practitioners were called to gather in the yard. One policeman said, "We are taking you to Shenyang in the northeast ...." I did not clearly hear the detailed location.

Recently, the knowledge that organs have been harvested from live Falun Gong practitioners in the concentration camps in Mainland China was exposed. I recalled that, even as they brutally tortured me, they were still very concerned about my health. It was only because the officers in the Custodial Station wanted to harvest my organs that they made such painstaking efforts to treat me "well." I totally refused to cooperate with them. I resisted the force-feeding, the drug infusions, and the blood and urine testing. In this way I narrowly escaped being killed in the concentration camp.

After the harvesting of organs from living practitioners was exposed, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui/Clearwisdom Web site jointly established a Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) on April 4th 2006. This organisation calls for the public to provide further information about the persecution. We hope that more people will come forward and provide information.
