I began to try making materials myself. Some practitioners avoided me because of their attachments or because they were scared. I decided to stay inside and make the materials. I felt bad now and then, but each time I thought of the practitioners beside me who had been abducted, beaten, and even persecuted to death because they had helped produce factual materials about Falun Gong, I shed tears non-stop. In comparison, the suffering I went through was nothing.

On the 20th of July, 1999, a historically unprecedented persecution began. China was shrouded in an atmosphere of terror. During the morning of July 20th, my mother and I went to the Falun Gong practise site as usual. We saw uniformed and plainclothes police everywhere. It was mother's turn to teach the Falun Gong exercises.

From December 1st to 3rd, 2004, the "Uncompromising Spirit" Art Exhibition was successfully held at Humber College in Toronto. This was the fourth stop of the Canadian painting exhibition tour.Through the art exhibition, students learned the facts and expressed their sympathy toward the persecuted practitioners in China.

According to a report from Epoch Times (a global Chinese newspaper) on December 2nd, 2004, Beijing TV Channel One was tapped into and broadcast programs that explained the true facts about Falun Gong. Viewers in different areas reported seeing varying lengths of the video, from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. The International Herald Leader under the flag of Xinhua News Net claimed that Taiwan's Intelligence Agency secretly trained Falun Gong practitioners with the technology to tap into the TV signal. Officials from Taiwan's Department of Defence denounced the accusation as nonsense.

"...The founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi, has helped me to understand the genuine purpose of human life, and showed me how to be a good person by always considering the welfare of others first, thus curing me completely of my bad habits. This time I was arrested because I have been recounting my experiences to our country's leaders, that Falun Gong is good for our society and the country. When I was a thief, you had just cause in arresting me, but now I can't understand why I am being jailed for having become a good person."

This is a textbook provided to students nationwide, from third graders to middle school students. Statistics show that there are currently about 367 million youths in China. So many children are being compelled to go against "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." What kind of people are they going to grow into?

Falun Gong practitioners have been holding an anti-torture exhibition every Sunday to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Ms. Xu Jiashu, who started practising Falun Gong in October this year, has voluntarily participated in the exhibition since November 14th and has attracted the media's attention.

On November 14th, 2004, a school-wide Games was held in celebration of the forty-eighth anniversary of Dapu Elementary School of Miaoli County, Taiwan. Second on the program was a demonstration of the five sets of Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) exercises. It had the most participants among all the programs and made a fine spectacle.

Penticton is a small city famous for its abundant fruits and wines in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in Penticton's annual Christmas parade. On November 27th 2004, about 50 Falun Gong practitioners from Vancouver drove to Penticton for the parade.

At 8 p.m. on the 20th of November, 2004, the Beijing satellite TV system was tapped into and broadcasted a documentary video about Falun Dafa entitled "Between Heaven and Earth". Viewers in different areas reported seeing varying lengths of the video, from ten minutes to thirty minutes. Many people finally understood that the staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square was masterminded by the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his faction to frame Falun Dafa and its founder so as to deceive the Chinese people.

After school Panpan told his mother about the examination. Later they went to talk about Falun Gong to his homeroom teacher. After learning the truth about Falun Gong and the real factors behind the unlawful persecution, Panpan's homeroom teacher told the Ethics and Morality teacher, "Don't put the students in a difficult position. The examinations don't need to be redone. Falun Gong is truly good."

Her daughter-in-law pushed her to the Falun Gong teachings study site in a wheelchair to watch Teacher's lectures on Falun Gong on video. After the lecture she took the stairs by herself. Her daughter-in-law wanted her sit in the wheelchair to push her back home, but she refused and walked home by herself. The study site is about one mile away from her home, but she would walk back and forth every day to watch Teacher's lecture. She insisted on studying the Falun Gong teachings and practising the Falun Gong exercises every day and has not needed to take any medicine since.

On November 15th, 2004, Lat33, a monthly magazine in Chile that covers topics ranging from politics, economy, arts and different social topics, published a 4-page article written by Maria Eugenia Fernandez about Bo Xilai and his direct involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Recently, the Inter-Club Council (ICC) from Santa Rosa Junior College in California passed a resolution to express condemnation of the Chinese Communist Government's persecution and acts of atrocity against Falun Gong practitioners.

On November 11th, 2004, Taiwan's National Cheng Kung University celebrated its 93rd anniversary. There was a series of activities. An exhibition was organised entitled, "The Third Chinese Traditional Culture Season". The Falun Gong Club of the university was invited to take part in the exhibition.

Only two other practitioners supported me. Even I held a lot of fear in my heart. But I knew I could not retreat and let the arrangement of the old force be realised. Under this great pressure, I still insisted that if the hearsay were true, and if they found out anything on the computer, I would bear all the responsibility. So I stayed in the computer room myself. The sky was grey with drizzle, and my heart was very heavy.

When I returned to the United States a Falun Dafa practitioner noted, "You have changed!" I asked, "How have I changed?" She said, "You have many fewer wrinkles and the dark specks on your skin have disappeared." In just a few months the change has been that great. The more commendable thing was that I had improved my ethics and character. I used to be very ill tempered. After several incidents I discovered that I no longer lost my temper so quickly

In Uganda, upon receiving our leaflet, the gate guard of the Parliament Building smiled and said, "Falun Gong! Falun Gong comes to Uganda! Do you know that I have already known about Falun Gong for quite some time... I've learned many facts about the persecution from the Internet... Let me help you..."

In February 2004, Daqing Prison established the "Forced Transformation Team". Groups of ten criminals and one guard were responsible for "transforming" a single Falun Dafa practitioner. The team tortured the practitioners around the clock to force them to renounce their belief so the criminals could have their sentences reduced.

In the spring of 1999, my health started to badly deteriorate. I continually coughed up blood, and experienced unbearable pain. Soon I was not just spitting blood, but coughing out the rotten flesh from my lungs. A hospital diagnosis showed that my lungs looked like chicken-wire, littered with holes. The largest hole was as big as a ping-pong ball, and my lungs were almost totally rotten. The doctor told my family that no doctor could cure me and simply said, "Get ready for his funeral".

I often went outside to distribute materials by myself and stayed until the next morning. Many times I felt very thirsty and it was difficult for me to walk a single step further, so I kept encouraging myself by reciting Master's lectures until I passed out the last leaflet I had. Some practitioners were worried about my safety, for I was a girl. I thought, I'm Master's disciple and what I'm doing is the most sacred thing, I will be fine.

On November 21st and 22nd, 2004, the 12th APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Corporation) Summit Meeting was conducted in Santiago, Chile. The President of China Hu Jintao attended the meeting. Falun Gong practitioners from Chile and other countries exposed the persecution of Falun Gong to the Chinese delegation and the media.

From September 23rd until September 30th, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners in Johor, Malaysia rented a stand at the local Carrefour Supermarket, and displayed picture boards introducing Falun Dafa and its spread around the world. The practitioners also displayed Dafa books and demonstrated the exercises when there were many people around.

This article describes the mental and physical abuses Liaoning Province's Beipiao City Falun Gong practitioner Liu Dianqin suffered under the persecution, particularly in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Though Ms. Liu was released, the tortures she had endured left her handicapped.

He truly felt what it was like to be living without illness. His excitement could not be expressed in words. He truly felt weightless and was without any illnesses. He walked faster too. When my mother went shopping with him, she could not believe that she could hardly keep up with him. After my father experienced the miracles of Falun Dafa, he remembered his previous attitude towards my practising and expressed his deep regrets and apologies.

On November 25th, practitioners from the Mid-West U.S. participated in the 71st Chicago Thanksgiving Day Grand Parade. Hundreds of thousands of people watch it on State Street every year. Over one million people watched the live broadcast on TV.

Non-governmental channels have confirmed that another 42 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the persecution in China. As of October 31st, 2004, the confirmed death toll of practitioners has reached 1,101 since July 20th, 1999, when Jiang Zemin's political group began its blatant persecution of Falun Gong.

Meng Qingzhong, the director of the Botou Detention Centre, Hebei Province, cruelly persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. In the freezing winter they hung practitioners by their arms outside, beat them and shocked them with electric batons; they bound a 16-year-old girl onto an iron bed to torture her, and guards stuffed foeces into the mouths of practitioners who were on hunger strikes.

Before the 2nd annual Peru Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held on November 14th, 2004, several activities were held in Lima to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Overseas practitioners, especially Latin American practitioners, participated in these activities.

After filing a lawsuit against Chinese State Councillor Chen Zhili, former Chinese Minister of Education, for genocide in a court in Seoul on November 18th, Korean practitioners held a press conference to expose the crimes of Chen Zhili on November 20th. Chen, the former Chinese Minister of Education, was visiting Korea from November 18th to 23rd.

"My daughter, from childhood to adulthood, never did anything wrong. In front of her parents she was always loyal and respectful. A person this good, just because she wanted to tell the truth, was brutally beaten to death. If you can't even be a good person, is there any fairness left in this world? This is all the work of Jiang Zemin. More than ten days after Xiufen passed away, my son finally gathered himself and notified my wife and me of her death. The only thing we could do was cry."

The police officers handcuff the Falun Dafa practitioner's hands behind the back and attach a piece of rope to the metal chain connecting the handcuffs. Two police officers then hold the practitioner and use the rope to hang him up onto an iron pipe that is 3 meters off the ground. Thus the practitioner is hung up in the air so that his feet are lifted off the ground, and all his weight is on his shoulders, arms and wrists.

'This is nothing to do with politics!' Wei replied in earnest. 'You exercise to be of good health and to be a good person you follow the principles - truthfulness, compassion, tolerance. We believe to follow the law, to be a good citizen, you have to be a good person first. It improves our health and mentality.' Sounded harmless to us, so we asked, is this incompatible with communism? Why is the government persecuting you?

Several months after sentencing, Tian Ling was allowed to go home, but only under surveillance, as she had just had the baby. When their daughter Tiantian was only one year old, the Public Security Bureau threatened to take Tian Ling into custody. Tian Ling was forced to leave home to avoid persecution. The baby is being looked after by Tian Ling's mother.

Since that day, my health went from strength to strength. I walk briskly, like a young person, and don't feel at all like someone of 80 years. Before, I couldn't live without medicine, but now I eat and sleep well, and feel full of energy without the need to take any medicine. People who knew me are very surprised to see me and often ask, "How come you have changed so much? Your cheeks are rosy, your energy is high, and you walk like you have a lot of strength to spare." I tell them that this is all because I practise Falun Gong.

Liang took Shuang to a hospital for an exam. The doctor privately told him that his wife had late stage pelvic cancer and that she could live at most for three more months. This sudden news was like thunder out of a clear sky. Liang was frightened and didn't know what to do. Faced with the possibility that his two children (twins) might lose their mother and that he might lose his beloved wife, Liang was at a loss.

Guan Yujing, a high court judge from Fujian Province was abducted and detained by the "610 Office" in Fuzhou City three times because she explained the truth about Falun Gong and exposed the facts of the persecution to those around her. She was detained in a psychiatric hospital to be "cured." She was injected with drugs that damage the central nervous system when she continued telling people the facts about Falun Gong in the hospital.

I began practising Falun Dafa together with my daughter in August 1995. During the period of self-cultivation, my moral character continually improved and my body also underwent great changes. I truly experienced personally what it means to feel light and be free of illness. From the first time I held and read the core Falun Gong teachings in Zhuan Falun, it was as though I had found a precious jewel.

In the past, when Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted, we would look for their shortcomings first, to see where there were gaps, what concepts of theirs were not in line with mine, what were their attachments, and so on. It seemed that the persecution was regarded as a matter of course.

On November 23rd, 2004, more than a thousand Falun Gong practitioners formed two large and striking Chinese characters that spelt out "Fa-rectification" amidst colourful autumn maple trees on the East Side of Central Park in Manhattan. In addition to this two large banners reading, "Falun Dafa is Good" and "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," created a beautiful scene on East Street.

Li Wutang was a teacher in Jinan City No. 3 Middle School. He benefited in both mind and body after cultivating Falun Dafa. He was illegally sentenced to a three-year prison term for persisting in validating the practise that had improved his life so much. He was imprisoned in Liuchangshan Labor Camp in Jinan City. During his illegal imprisonment, he was firm in his belief in Falun Dafa. The guards forced him to stay in solitary confinement, deprived him of sleep for long periods of time and beat him.

At the labour camp, Zhang Yuanming firmly refused to write the "five statements" (all of which are statements made to renounce Falun Gong) and suffered inhuman tortures as a result. He was forced to sit on a small bench for more than ten hours each day. The longest time he sat was from 5 o'clock in the morning until 2 am the next day, in total about twenty-one hours. He was tortured so badly that he became deaf.
