Swedish MP: "The CCP's Incitement of the Attacks in Flushing Is an International Concern" [06.06.2008]

Mr. Lindblad said, "The Flushing incident must be initiated by the CCP regime. It tries to incite such things in other countries. It is horrible." When asked why he thought the CCP chose this time, Mr. Lindblad said that the CCP attempted to divert people's attention since it saw that the world's people protested the Olympic torch relay and its suppression in Tibet.

Bulgaria: Economic Interests Lead to Disrespect for Human Rights [17.03.2007]

Bulgarian Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to a meeting with Mr. Krasimir Stefanov, Director of the Directorate of Asia, Australia and Oceania in the Foreign Ministry of Bulgaria, with Mr. Zdravelin Georgiev official in charge for China, and with one more official of the Ministry. The meeting was requested by the practitioners after a letter sent by the Ministry to the Sofia Municipality, in which Mr. Stefanov stated that a peaceful appeal by members of Bulgarian Falun Gong Association in front of the building of the Chinese Embassy in Sofia is inexpedient. The reason mentioned was a potential threat to the diplomats of China.

Let us oppose the Chinese Communist Regime’s Human Rights Abuses Together [04.03.2007]

The Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners have been incessantly condemned by the international community. Through partnership with the Working Together for Human Rights Association since last year, Amnesty International has kept a close eye on various atrocities perpetrated by the Chinese Communist regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. On various formal occasions, it also appealed for Falun Gong practitioners’ human rights and strongly condemned the Chinese regime’s persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.

Germany: Falun Gong Practitioner Presents a Petition to the Presidents of Germany and Italy [18.02.2007]

On February the 9th 2007, German Federal President Mr. Horst Kohler returned to his alma mater, the University of Tübingen. A Falun Gong practitioner studying at the University presented the German President with a petition calling for an end to the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. The president repeatedly said “thank you.” When the Italian president looked at what was going on with curiosity, the practitioner also presented him the report on the investigation into the Chinese communist regime’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and other related material in Italian.

United Kingdom: "We cannot allow such things to continue" [04.08.2006]

Former Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) for Canada and senior MP, David Kilgour, was invited by Lord Thurlow, former UK diplomat, to hold a seminar in the Houses of Parliament on July 17th regarding the CCP’s trade in organs harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners’ organs. The UK MPs who attended the seminar appealed to the UK government to take measures to stop the CCP’s atrocities. Mr. Kilgour introduced the attendees to the report he wrote in Canada, and answered questions raised by the MPs and media.

Sweden: During the Tällberg Forum, Practitioners Expose the CCP's Trade in Organs Harvested from Living People [20.07.2006]

Swedish human rights organization SHRIC had a stand called ‘Supporting Human Rights in China’, appealing for attention from all peace-loving people for human rights in China. Four Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted in China but now live in Sweden talked about their own experiences of persecution to people who came to read the posters.

France: Council of Europe Focuses on the CCP Trade in Organs Harvested from Prisoners in Labour Camps [11.07.2006]

A forum to "Examine environmental pollution and the human rights situation in China” was held at the 7th meeting hall on June 27th, 2006. The organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners taking place in China’s labour camps became a focus of the meeting.

Holland: Telling the Mayor about the Persecution of Falun Dafa [27.05.2006]

The mayor said, "I know all about Falun Gong. He looked at me, probably not expecting anyone in his city to practise Falun Gong. I showed him some materials about the Chinese Communist Party taking organs from living victims, including Falun Gong practitioners. He looked for a moment and said, "Too terrible, too terrible. These people are too bad; I will read this material carefully." I also told him some experiences of mine; he listened with attention. I finally said that just because of this, I have not seen my daughter for seven years. The Mayor's wife said: "This is one of the most intolerable things. Thank you for telling us your story."

Czech Republic: The Czech People Appeal to the Government to Urge the Chinese Regime to Release Falun Gong Practitioners [23.05.2006]

On April the 20th and April 21st, Falun Gong practitioners protested in Ostrava and Frydek-Mistek against the CCP removing live Falun Gong practitioners’ organs.We prepared petitions to urge the President of the Czech Republic to ask the CCP to immediately release all Falun Gong practitioners who are imprisoned in the secret concentration camps.

Germany: An Asian Specialist at the Chancellor’s Office is Concerned about the Harvest of Organs from Living Falun Gong Practitioners [22.05.2006]

On May 15th, 2006, a week before the German Chancellor Merkel’s visit to China, an asian specialist in the Chancellor’s Office received representatives of Falun Gong practitioners, China Democratic League and a German human right organisation. At the same time, practitioners rallied in front of the Chancellor’s Office.

Czech Republic: The Czech People Appeal to the Government to Urge the Chinese Regime to Release Falun Gong Practitioners [18.05.2006]

On April 20th and April 21st, Falun Gong practitioners in Ostrava and Frydek-Mistek in the Czech Republic held an activity to tell people about the incident of harvesting organs in China, which has been disclosed recently. Falun Gong practitioners’ organs were forcibly removed while they were still alive and traded on the black market; they were mainly sold to rich foreigners.

Italy: Exposing the CCP's Atrocities at the Premier’s Office in Rome [09.05.2006]

Since March 2006, after several witnesses revealed the CCP’s harvesting of organs for profit from live Falun Gong practitioners in CCP labour camps and jails, Falun Gong practitioners in Rome held activities to expose the crimes at the Premier’s office on Empire Road in Rome city centre.

Turkey: Practitioners Visit the Turkish government, Calling On Them to Pay Attention to the Sujiatun Concentration Camp [05.04.2006]

The Turkish officials regarded this issue with much importance. They replied that they will write letters of appeal to China and demand an investigation and said that they will inform Falun Gong practitioners of the outcome. Practitioners talked in more depth than before to the government officials and helped them gain an even clearer understanding of what Falun Gong is, the facts of the persecution, why the CCP is so wicked and how to help the innocent victims in China.

Poland: Polish Parliament Seminar Exposes the CCP’s Crimes Against Falun Gong [01.04.2006]

On March 21st, Polish practitioners, with the help of the Polish Government, held a seminar called “The World and China without Communism” in the Polish parliament. The audience consisted of officials from many departments of the Polish Government, Members of Parliament, scholars, many foreign diplomats who live in Warsaw and others.

Denmark: Practitioners Visit Government Departments to Appeal for Attention to Sujiatun [29.03.2006]

On the afternoon of March 22nd, practitioners put aside their work and study to gather outside the Prime Minister's Office. They asked for a meeting with the Prime Minister to deliver a petition letter in person and to ask the Prime Minister to help rescue Falun Gong practitioners who are on the verge of death. They went on to meet the Foreign Minister.

Turkey: Falun Gong Practitioners Tell Members of the National Assembly about the Persecution [19.12.2005]

To call on the Turkish government to pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, which has now lasted for six years, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners went to the Grand Turkish National Assembly. They went to visit three senior assembly members, Mr. Ali Er, Ali Oksal and Mesut Deger, who is a lawyer and a leading member of the Human Right Committee of the assembly. They asked them to call on the Turkish government to pay attention to the cruel persecution of Falun Gong.

Ireland: Foreign Minister Plans to Raise the Death of Gao Rongrong in the EU [04.10.2005]

"I have asked my officials to request the EU Presidency to raise the case of Ms Gao Rong Rong and the circumstances of her death with the Chinese authorities at the next session of the EU-China human rights dialogue which is due to take place in September. The EU-China human rights dialogue, established in 1996, is the formal framework through which the EU raises its concerns about individual human rights cases, including those of Falun Dafa practitioners and more general issues, such as the protection of freedom of religion and expression, which have a particular impact on practitioners of Falun Dafa."

Switzerland: Appealing for Support from United Nations Participants to Rescue my Auntie [09.09.2005]

My auntie, Ms. Qiu Minghua, is being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party because she refuses to give up practising Falun Gong. She has been illegally imprisoned since November 25th 2004. In order to appeal for her rescue, during the period of the UN Human Rights Committee from the end of July 2005 to the beginning of August I talked to about one hundred officials from different countries in the United Nations and to members of NGOs (non-governmental organisations). I appealed to them to support the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in Mainland China. The effect was good.

An Italian MP Asks, "What Can I Do for You?" [14.08.2005]

From July 10th to 17th, practitioners from Italy and Germany held three activities in Rome. There were crowds of people in Rome during July. Many touring groups from China were shocked when they saw so many western Falun Gong practitioners. Some asked for materials, while more of them excitedly took pictures.

Germany: A Falun Gong Practitioner Handed a Petition to the President [13.08.2005]

On the first day of their holiday, President Koehler publicly invited local people and tourists to visit the Arber with him and climb to the peak of the hill. On learning the news, local Falun Gong practitioners felt that this was a good opportunity to see the president on such an occasion and tell him about Falun Gong face to face while handing him a petition.

France: Falun Gong Practitioners were Invited to Attend the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health [12.08.2005]

The University of Paris played host to the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health from July 2nd to 8th 2005. Experts, academics and witnesses to the persecution of Falun Gong were invited to attend the mental health summit and talk about persecution against the practice.

France: Every Year, the Falun Gong Association Meets High Levels of Government on National Day [17.07.2005]

From 2002 to 2005, every year on National Day, Falun Gong practitioners have had the chance to meet the French President, Prime Minister, Ministers, Members of Parliament and other non-political VIPs. On this year’s National Day, July 13th 2005, four representatives from the French Falun Gong Association were invited to a Garden Party at the Ministry of Overseas Department.

Norwegian Practitioners Support Practitioners in Singapore who were Jailed for Spreading Information about the Persecution [08.05.2005]

When news reached Norway that two female practitioners in Singapore had been jailed for spreading information about the six-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, local practitioners wanted to help. So far, the Nordic Association has sent a letter to the Singapore Consulate in Oslo. Two practitioners went to the office of the consulate to express their concern and to deliver a letter from the Norwegian Association, together with information about Falun Gong and the persecution, information of the same kind that the accused women had spread in Singapore. They had a good conversation with a representative of the consulate who stayed after working hours to be informed.

Germany: Xiong Wei made a Speech at the Annual Meeting of the International Society for Human Rights to Disclose the Tricks the CCP Adopted to Dupe Western Media Reporters [08.05.2005]

Xiong Wei called for support for Jiang Renzheng, who was deported to China by Germany and sentenced to a forced labour camp. The assembly passed a decision to demand the Chinese Government to immediately release Jiang Renzheng and urged the German Chancellor and Foreign Minister to guarantee Jiang and his family's safety through all kinds of diplomatic means.

NTDTV Invited to a Special Seminar on "Communism - the Rights of Freedom of Speech” during the 61st UNHRC [27.04.2005]

On the 13th of April, inside the UN building in Geneva, a special conference was held by the General-Secretary of the International Multicultural Religions Organization about New Tang Dynasty Television. The main speakers included NTDTV Public Affairs Deputy Principal, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy League, a representative for the Tiananmen Mothers Committee and also a Swiss lawyer.

Geneva: Exposing the Chinese Regime's Crimes Against Conscience During UN Human Rights Meeting [25.04.2005]

During the 61st session of the UNHRC, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group, the United Nations Association of the United States of America San Diego Chapter and the International Educational Development - Humanitarian Law Project jointly held a forum entitled, "Crimes Against Conscience - The Chinese Government's Persecution of Falun Gong."

Sweden: Famous Swedish Diplomat Encourages Practitioners to “Keep Up the Good Work!” [17.04.2005]

A group of Falun Gong practitioners attended a lecture held by Jan Eliasson in Gothenburg. Jan Eliasson is the former Swedish Ambassador in Washington and later this year he will take over as president of the United Nations General Council. In the past, he worked as a UN Ambassador, as well as a Cabinet Secretary at the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

"Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group" Submits Cases of Missing Falun Gong Practitioners to United Nations in Geneva [17.04.2005]

The Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group submitted a case report on the abduction of Huang Xiong to Mr. Stephen Toope, Chairman of the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances during the annual meeting of the U.N.H.R.C. in Geneva. He was surprised to know that Mr. Huang was abducted more than a year ago and said he would take action right away.

German Practitioners Write to the Premier Calling for the Rescue of Jiang Renzheng and his Family [16.04.2005]

The German Falun Gong Information Centre disclosed that practitioners are now actively informing the German authorities, politicians, media and human rights organisation about the situation of Jiang’s family. They are appealing to the German Government to rescue the family and they want to help the public understand the situation under the Communist Party’s rule.

Falun Gong Practitioners were invited to the European Parliament on International Women’s Day [03.04.2005]

On March 7th 2005, Xiong Wei and Chen Yin, Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and France who personally experienced persecution in China’s labour camps, were invited to visit the European Parliament in Strasbourg. They met with German MP Mr Gahler, who offered his heartfelt support, and they spoke in a press conference in the EU Council Chamber.

Switzerland: Davos Residents and Officials from the World Economic Forum Support Human Right for China's Persecuted Dafa Practitioners [15.02.2005]

At the end of January 2005, the annual World Economic Forum was held in the famous Swiss ski-resort, Davos. Many countries sent their top officials to attend. During the last two days of the meeting (29th and 30th) Dafa practitioners in Switzerland organised anti-torture exhibitions and activities to let people know about Falun Gong.

Germany: Informing People about the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Annual Meeting of the Baltic Development Forum at Hamburg University [16.10.2004]

For the first time since the citizens and senate of Hamburg joined the Baltic Development Forum in 2003, the city hosted its annual meeting from Sunday September the 2nd to Tuesday September the 4th 2004. The practitioners stayed at the main entrance of the university until the end of the summit. They talked to students, lecturers, university staff and people from economic circles about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Everybody was very receptive and many people were glad to get more information.

United Kingdom: Practitioners held Anti-Torture Exhibition at All Three Major Political Party Conferences [14.10.2004]

There have been many great offers of support and help from delegates of all three parties and in total about 1400 delegates signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and for the human rights abuser and instigator of the persecution Jiang Zemin to be brought to justice. Delegates were appalled by the torture that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to and were shocked that some of the practitioners at the event suffered personally in the persecution. They showed great support to a practitioner who is trying to rescue his sister from a forced labour camp in China.

Italy: Government Officials in Sardinia Show Concern for the Persecution of Falun Gong [13.10.2004]

From August the 23rd to September the 13th, a Swiss Falun Gong practitioner went to Olbia city on the island of Sardinia in southern Italy. Every morning he practised Falun Gong exercises in a park and set up a series of display boards so that passers-by were able to read about Falun Gong and the persecution that practitioners in China are suffering.

Participants in International Human Rights Course in France Include Persecution of Falun Gong in List of Urgent Concerns [17.08.2004]

To commemorate the five-year mark since the persecution of Falun Gong began in China, on July the 22nd 2004, a member of Amnesty International and I organized a panel discussion. At the event, I explained about Falun Gong and the lawsuits filed in different countries against Jiang Zemin and others responsible for the persecution, while the representative of Amnesty International spoke about the human rights violations committed against practitioners in China. At the end, we showed the award-winning film, False Fire.

Belgium: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in an International Conference on Human Rights and Freedom of Belief in Brussels [15.08.2004]

An international conference on human rights and freedom of belief was held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, from August the 5th to the 7th. Councillors and representatives of some non-governmental organisations from North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa participated in the Conference.

Belgium: Falun Gong Spokesperson's Speech at an Interparliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom [13.08.2004]

"The world has already spoken out against China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Members of democratic society have condemned China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. The U.S. Congress and the European Parliament, for example, have specifically passed resolutions calling on China to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and supporting the human rights of Falun Gong."

United Kingdom: Falun Gong Seminar Held in the Houses of Parliament [06.07.2004]

On the 30th of June 2004, a seminar about the persecution of Falun Gong was held in the Houses of Parliament in London and was attended by Lords, Members of Parliament and Falun Gong practitioners. Those who attended were able to gain a better understanding of the persecution of Falun Gong and the situation in China. The MP who chaired the seminar opened by saying, “With the opening of industry and links with China, comes the need to pay attention to human rights.”

A Seminar on Human Rights in China was Held in the Norwegian Parliament [01.06.2004]

The Norwegian Parliament was the venue for a seminar on the human rights situation in China. It was hosted by Parliament members and co-arranged by the Norwegian Falun Dafa Association. Many parliament members and representatives from human rights organisations and persecuted groups attended the seminar.

Northern Europe: The 'Chinese Voices on Human Rights in China' Symposium Held in the Danish Parliament Building [21.05.2004]

On May the 10th, a forum entitled 'Chinese Voices on Human Rights in China' was jointly held by the Danish branch of the International Pen Pal Association and the Danish Falun Gong Association in the Danish parliament building. The speakers were part of the North European Human Rights Speech Tour.

Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying holds an Exhibition in the Czech Parliament and visits the Office of the Czech President [02.05.2004]

In February 2004, an exhibition of the paintings of Australian Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Cuiying was held for five days on all three floors of the Atrium of the Czech Parliament in the Waldstein Palace. Many MPs, VIPs, parliamentary officials, members of the public and a reporter attended the opening of Zhang Cuiying’s exhibition.

Special Forum Entitled 'Slavery Economy in China’s Labour Camps' is Held in Geneva [17.04.2004]

The 60th UN Human Rights Commission is taking place in Geneva at the moment. A joint action organisation, consisting of international and Swiss NGOs, is seeking to carry China to a real democracy. The organisation's first special forum was held at “Family Society” in Geneva: "The Slave Economy in China's Labour Camps".

Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong in the Chinese Educational System During the Annual Meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission [16.04.2004]

On April the 6th, during the annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC), the World Women's Organisation (USA) staged a seminar on Human Rights in the Chinese educational system. World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) president John Jaw, Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Ming and Australian human rights lawyer Christopher Nyst were invited to this seminar.

Yoko Kaneko (A Resident in Japan), Imprisoned in China for 1.5 Years for Practising Falun Gong, Gives Personal Testimony at U.N. Commission on Human Rights in Geneva [15.04.2004]

"My name is Yoko Kaneko. I was born in China. I am now residing in Japan. I am a practitioner of Falun Gong. I travelled back to China from Japan on May the 24th 2002. I was arrested and put in labour camp without trial only for handing out Falun Gong fliers on the streets in Beijing. I was released after one and a half years. Here I would like to share some of my sufferings while under detention."

Female Falun Gong Practitioner Testifies to the UNHRC about Violence Conducted Against Women [13.04.2004]

Ms. Yoko Kaneko, a Japanese Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned in a Chinese forced labour camp for one and half a years, gave an account at a forum of the United Nations’ Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) of the brutal torture and brainwashing that she has experienced. She called for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Dafa Practitioners Visit over 40 Permanent Missions and Embassies During UN Human Rights Commission Meeting in Geneva [10.04.2004]

Between March the 14th and the 19th 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners visited the permanent missions and embassies of over 40 countries that comprise the U.N. Human Rights Commission in Geneva. Among the visitors were practitioners that have been persecuted in China for upholding their belief in Falun Dafa. The practitioners clarified the facts and exposed the vicious crimes of Jiang and his followers.

Germany Supports Resolution Condemning China’s Human Rights Practices [09.04.2004]

The 60th Session of the U.N. Human Rights Commission is being held in Geneva from March the 15th to April the 23rd 2004. Member of the German Human Rights Committee, Mr. Haibach, who is also member of the German Parliament, arrived in Geneva on Monday. Speeches Delivered by Falun Gong Practitioners at the UN Forum on Human Rights in China [09.04.2004]

On the afternoon of April the 2nd, the American delegation attending the meeting of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights organised a seminar regarding the resolution condemning China’s human rights abuses. Those attending included representatives of the United Nation’s member states, human rights organisations, Falun Gong practitioners and members of Family Church etc. The auditorium did not have a vacant seat.

Falun Gong Practitioners Testify at a Meeting of the German International Human Rights Association [07.04.2004]

April 3rd 2004 was the day of the annual meeting of the IGFM (International Society for Human Rights) in Germany. The meeting attracted more than 250 members from over twenty countries. This is the third year that Falun Gong practitioners have attended and discussed the status of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, as well as the progress of the lawsuit against Jiang in Germany.

An Editor of a Spanish Chinese Newspaper: Today I Met a True Falun Gong Practitioner [04.04.2004]

"There was a Chinese man sitting on the table next to mine. It turned out that he was the editor of a Chinese newspaper in Spain. He said that he knew about Falun Gong and read Falun Dafa websites. He also said that he has never written articles to slander and attack Falun Gong. The Chinese Embassy put pressure on the newspaper to write such reports. But he had his own standard of behaviour and would not go against it and write anything against his will."

Russia: Telling the Facts to the Precious Chinese People [28.03.2004]

Many Chinese people visit Irkutsk. Most go to the shopping square downtown. In the beginning, they were not very interested in the truth-clarification materials that we had placed in the shops, but now it is much better. Most are willing to take the newspapers and Video-CDs that explain the truth about Falun Gong. We also hang up banners reading “Falun Dafa is good”, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” and “Falun Dafa will bring you a Beautiful Future.”

New Tang Dynasty TV Interviews Zhao Ming at the Annual Irish Students’ Human Rights Conference [23.03.2004]

The second annual Irish Students’ Human Rights Conference was held in Dublin at the end of February. Guest speakers included human rights officials, activists, and researchers from England and Ireland, as well as UN human rights officials. Mary Robinson, former UN High Commissioner for human rights, made a speech at the conference. Zhao Ming is a Falun Gong practitioner who recently obtained his MSc in Computer Science from Trinity College in Dublin. As a victim of human rights violations rescued from China, he was invited to make a speech in the conference. He also accepted an interview with NTDTV reporters.

Delegate from the Swedish Central Party: “We will continue to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.” [07.03.2004]

On the 3rd of March 2004, in Stockholm, Falun Gong practitioners raised the issue of the recent escalation of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and with the Swedish Central Party. Speaking decisively, Lena Ek, the delegate of the Swedish Central Party was resolute as she expressed her support: “the leaders of the Swedish Government will always use every opportunity to raise the issue of Falun Gong to the Chinese government at all levels. We will continue to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong whether we are in political, business or enterprise meetings. Good luck to Falun Gong!”

Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying holds a Successful Exhibition in the Parliament [04.03.2004]

Between January the 23rd and January the 27th, Chinese-Australian painter Zhang Cuiying’s art exhibition could be seen inside the Parliament building of the Czech Republic in Prague. Mrs. Zhang, known for both her beautiful traditional Chinese art and her time in a Chinese labour camp after peacefully speaking out against the persecution of the Chinese spiritual practice of Falun Dafa, is currently on a European tour with her paintings. During the tour, she is also bringing attention to the serious human rights violations against Falun Gong practitioners by telling her own story and talking about the harsh situation that many Falun Dafa practitioners are enduring in Mainland China.

Holland: Dutch Practitioners and Artist Zhang Cuiying Visited the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee [01.03.2004]

On the afternoon of the 19th of February, Falun Gong practitioner and Australian artist Ms. Zhang Cuiying accompanied Dutch practitioners to visit Mr. Dehan, Chairman of the Dutch Foreign Affairs Committee. Mr. Dehan’s secretary, two other members of the Foreign Affairs Committee and another person who was interested in Falun Gong were also present.

WOIPFG Spokesperson Discusses How the Persecution of Falun Gong Is Related to Western Corporations at the International Conference on 'Genocide in the New Era' [28.02.2004]

"The persecution needs money, of course. Where does the money come from, how can it be generated? What might be the role of big companies, especially those which are investing from abroad? How is the Chinese regime abusing people in forced labor camps? A few weeks ago, we received information that about one dozen Falun Gong practitioners working in the Volkswagen Joint Venture in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province in China, have been dismissed from work because of their belief. Recently, another similar case has been confirmed."

Explaining the Facts about Falun Dafa during the British Commonwealth of Nations Summit [26.02.2004]

The British Commonwealth of Nations Summit was held in December of 2003 in Abuja, Nigeria. We were four practitioners from Australia, England and Singapore, who had not had the opportunity to meet before. We first met at the airport. Yet, we were as one body and thus it was amazing in how our coordination efforts allowed us to clarify the truth during the ensuing ten days in a country so dissimilar to our own.

Speech at International Conference on 'Genocide in the New Era': "Immunity, Impunity and Genocide in the New Age" [25.02.2004]

The International Conference on “Genocide in the New Era”, organised by “Friends of Falun Gong Europe” and “International Advocates for Justice”, took place in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm from January 26th to January 28th 2004. This is one one of the conference speeches by Spanish lawyer Carlos Iglesias, entitled "Immunity, Impunity and Genocide in the New Age", which was given on the morning of Tuesday January 27th.

European Practitioners Tell the Facts about Falun Gong to French Government Departments [17.02.2004]

Representatives from the European, Nordic and French Falun Dafa Associations visited the offices of the French President, the French Premier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office to tell them the facts about Falun Gong. They talked about the French Police Force’s recent unreasonable arrest and mistreatment of Falun Gong practitioners on the streets of Paris during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

European Dafa Practitioners Urgently Appeal to the European Parliament [16.02.2004]

On the afternoon of the 10th of February 2004, European Falun Dafa practitioners urgently appealed to the European Parliament in Strasbourg regarding the recent unjust detention of Falun Dafa practitioners in France. Practitioners displayed large amounts of materials revealing the truth about the Paris incident.

France: Explaining the Facts to High Level French Officials in the Wake of Paris Arrests [14.02.2004]

On the 9th February, 2004, several representatives began the action of visiting high level French government officials. Smartly dressed, wearing yellow scarves, with a calm composure and upright thoughts, they came to the doors of the French Ministry of Domestic Affairs. At first the policemen said there was no time to meet them, then they began to make phone calls asking for instructions. After a while, a more senior official came to meet them. The practitioners expressed their views calmly but firmly. The atmosphere became more relaxed. Finally a high level official agreed to meet with the representatives from the European Falun Dafa Association.

Swedish Party Leader’s Speech Focuses on Persecution of Falun Gong [12.02.2004]

On the 5th of February 2004, Lars Lejonborg, leader of the People’s Party in Sweden, held a lecture in the Gothenburg Business University. During his lecture, Lars Lejonborg expressed a strong dissatisfaction with the human rights situation in China. He specifically mentioned that Falun Gong is suffering serious persecution in China. A Falun Gong practitioner attending the lecture handed over some information to Lars Lejonborg about the recent serious incidents in Paris, where Falun Gong practitioners were arrested because of pressure from the Chinese regime.

French Judge Meets Practitioner to Discuss Lawsuit Against Leader of “Chinese Gestapo” [09.02.2004]

The Dafa practitioner was asked by the judge to explain why she had filed the lawsuit. She answered by explaining more about the persecution of Falun Gong, how widespread, systematic and criminal the brutal suppression of practitioners in China is, and how the ex-President and his regime try to impose this abuse of human rights on other countries. She conveyed that France and every other democratic country have a moral responsibility toward what can be officially described as “Genocide" and that this is not a Chinese issue, but an international question.

Non-Governmental Organisations from Different Countries Gathered in Stockholm for the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era" (Part 1) [07.02.2004]

The international conference on “Genocide in the New Era”, organised by “Friends of Falun Gong Europe” and “International Advocates for Justice”, commenced in Stockholm on January 26th 2004. The agenda for the first day covered two topics: “Human Rights Violations in China” and “Development and Law”. Lord Francis Thurlow made the opening address.

Delegates Attending the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era" Support and Highly Praise Practitioners’ Peaceful Protests [06.02.2004]

After listening to the truth about practitioners peacefully resisting four years of brutal persecution, the delegate from the Kenyan Embassy in Sweden said, “I admire your spirit of ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.’ You have brought hope of world peace. I am very glad to have this opportunity to participate in this meeting and to know Falun Gong practitioners.”

France: Persecution of Falun Gong on the Agenda at Human Rights Conference for Lawyers in Caen [05.02.2004]

On January 25th 2004, at the Human Rights Conference in Caen, Dafa practitioner and lawyer, Mr. Carlos Iglesias, gave a speech to an audience of over 2,000 people. He explained the situation of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the evilness of what he himself classified as a true genocide. He clearly explained the roots of this genocide and the direct and personal responsibility of Jiang Zemin and the repressive genocidal organisation known as the 610 Office, headed by Luo Gan.

French Falun Gong Association Invited to the Senate for a Press Conference with NGOs and VIPs [02.02.2004]

On January the 14th, the French Falun Gong Association was invited to the Senate in Paris for a press conference on human rights in China. Among the guests were Former Minister of Education Jack Lang, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, ECPM (Together Against Capital Punishment), France Tibet and Chinese dissidents.

Switzerland: Dafa Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong at a Political Party Meeting [15.01.2004]

Several weeks ago, Swiss Dafa practitioners started contacting the newly-elected Parliament members via telephone or through personal meetings to talk to them about the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China. They then got the opportunity to distribute materials and deliver a letter of appeal at an event held by the political parties.

Switzerland: Practitioners Clarify the Facts during the World Information Summit [10.01.2004]

During the World Information Summit, an ICT Development Forum was held in Geneva between the 9th and 13th of December. The Swiss Falun Dafa Association also had an opportunity to set up a Falun Gong information stand during the Forum to expose Jiang’s persecution and his manipulation and exploitation of the media to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China and frame them overseas. Many visitors were not aware of the deceitful propaganda of Jiang's regime and were shocked to learn the facts.

Greece: Introducing Falun Dafa and Clarifying the Facts at the Finnish Embassy in Athens [29.12.2003]

Over the Christmas holidays, Falun Gong practitioners from Finland and Sweden visited Athens in Greece to introduce Falun Gong to the Greek people, and to let people know about the enormous abuses of human rights that are taking place against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

UK: Spreading Dafa to Officials of the current Ruling Party [11.10.2003]

After accepting a flyer, one person said, “I saw you standing here distributing flyers in the rain, I think it must be very important, so I’ll look through it thoroughly.” Another person saw a practitioner wearing clothes reading “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” in both Chinese and English. He stopped his bicycle to ask for a flyer.

Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners participate in an International Conference on Human Rights [03.10.2003]

Practitioners raised questions with the chairman of the UN commission about the continuing persecution of Falun Gong in China and the issue of immunity for dictators. The panellists explained from different angles and affirmed that the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government has caught the attention of human rights organisations and led to condemnation by those organisations.
