The Sound of Germany: The European Parliament Criticises the CCP for its Human Rights Abuses [24.05.2008]

On May 9th, 2008, The Sound of Germany – according to news from the European Parliament in Brussels, criticised the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime for human rights abuses. The report said, “An annual human rights report published by Brussels on Thursday raised concerns that the CCP regime has not kept its promise to improve human rights conditions. Members of the European Parliament cited continued censorship of freedom of speech, of freedom of belief, random arrests of dissidents and the high number of executions".

Radio France International: Amnesty International Appeals to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to Respect Human Rights [10.05.2008]

On May 4th, 2008, Radio France International reported that, "According to AFP (Agence France-Presse), on Saturday there were about 1500 people holding a parade and demonstration at the Chinese Embassy in Brussels to appeal to the CCP government to respect human rights. The parade which was organised by Amnesty International conveyed a message that human rights are not a game and appealed to the CCP government to fulfill the promise in respect of human rights, abolish the death penalty, stop harassing dissidents and stop the blockage of the Internet."

Radio Free Asia: British Public Opinion Focusses on China's Human Rights Record [03.05.2008]

The countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games has entered one hundred days and counting. Amnesty International, whose headquarters based in London are continuing an appeal for people to pay attention to China's human rights persecution. They have also started broadcasting an animation on the Internet revealing to those people, prisoners who are suffering from torture by Chinese policemen for their fight for China's human rights and broadcasting the extent of suffering from electric shocks.

Belgium: TV and Media Report in Antwerp [19.03.2008]

On the 26th and 27th of February, 2008, the Chinese Spectacular on tour from the USA successfully held three performances in two days in Antwerp, the second largest city in Belgium, which aroused a great sensation. Many people in Europe, including the European Union officials and celebrities, came and watched this show displaying the splendid culture of the Orient.

Israel National News Reports on Prominent Rabbi Taking Stand Against CCP Organ Harvesting Crimes [15.02.2008]

A January 29 article published by Israel National News reported that Rabbi David Druckman, the Chief Rabbi of the northern city of Kiryat Motzkin, issued a recorded statement saying that the Jewish people "must take the lead in condemning China for its murder of prisoners of conscience in order to harvest their organs ... The atrocity is so great,' Rabbi Druckman says on a recently released video, 'that there are simply no words to express it. From a certain standpoint it is even worse than what the Nazis did... to cut organs from people under the cover of medical help for other people is simply astonishing and shocking from every human vantage point.'"

Radio France International: Chinese high ranking officials’ retribution is a warning to others [22.01.2008]

Before July 20th, 1999, Luo Gan, head of Chinese Communist Party’s Central Political and Legal Committee colluded with other Chinese officials to take advantage of their power to unreasonably persecute Falun Gong practitioners believing in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance in order to achieve promotion.

Radio France International: Amnesty International says Lethal Injection in China is a Diversion from Human Rights Atrocities [13.01.2008]

According to a Radio France International report on January 4th, 2008, Amnesty International condemned the Chinese Communist regime’s practice of using lethal injections instead of firing squads for executions before the 2008 Olympic Games. Amnesty said that it is simply an attempt to divert attention and it is not really intended as a revocation of the death penalty.

Radio Free Asia: China is the Biggest Prison of Journalists and Internet Dissidents [14.12.2007]

The report said that Reporters Without Borders (RSF) had affirmed that China was the world’s biggest prison of journalists, internet dissidents and people of free speech. Five representatives from RSF demonstrated in front of the Contact Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong. They set up a banner with the five circles of the Olympics changing into handcuffs to protest against China refusing to fulfill its promises to improve human rights and news freedom, which were made when it was bidding to host the Olympics.

Radio France International: Amnesty International Condemns the CCP for Failing to Keep its Promise to Improve Human Rights [13.12.2007]

On December 8th, 2007, French International Radio reported that Amnesty International condemned Beijing for failing to keep the promise of improving human rights that it made at the time of applying for the Olympics. The report said that Amnesty International condemned the Beijing Authorities for not keeping its promise of improving human rights. The Secretary-General of the International Amnesty German Branch said, "Striving for the holding rights of the Olympics in 2001, China made a promise of taking action to protect human rights and relax its examination system, but China rarely does things to realise its promises."

Radio France International: Renowned scholars from China refer to the persecution of Falun Gong as unjust [10.12.2007]

On December 5th, 2007, Radio France International reported the well-known economist Mao Yushi’s opinion on the system of re-education through labour used by the Chinese Communist Party to persecute many Falun Gong practitioners. Mr Mao stated, "The persecution of Falun Gong is illegal. It is contrary to Chinese citizens’ right to freedom of belief. The Communist Party uses political means to persecute a faith based group that has absolutely no political intentions".

Radio Free Asia: World Association of Newspapers Condemns the Control of the Internet and Media by the Chinese Communist Party [02.12.2007]

On November 20th, 2007, Radio Free Asia reported a recent announcement by The World Association of Newspapers condemning China, together with other countries, for their control of the internet and media. According to the report, they declare that “China has failed to live up to the press freedom commitments it made when it sought the 2008 Games. At least thirty journalists and fifty other dissidents are currently in Chinese prisons”. They also call on all the participants of the Olympic Games “to exert serious pressure on the Chinese authorities “to cease their flagrant and persistent abuses of human rights.”

Radio Free Asia: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Paris [01.10.2007]

"The Human Right Torch Relay, which intends to boycott the Beijing Olympics because the Chinese communist regime utilises the event to strengthen its autocracy and continue its persecution against human rights and Falun Gong practitioners, was lit in Athens, Greece, on August 9th, 2007. The Relay received extensive attention when the torch was carried through Europe. The Relay reached another climax on Sunday, September 16th when the Torch arrived in Paris, the birthplace of the Declaration of the Rights of Man".

Germany: Arte TV Provides Coverage of "Human Rights Torch Relay" Activity in Berlin [22.09.2007]

German's Arte TV provided news coverage on August 18th, 2007 about the activities of the "Human Rights Torch Relay" in Berlin. The TV channel also interviewed Ms. Dai Zhizhen, an Australian Falun Gong practitioner, in front of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin where Falun Gong practitioners held the activities. Ms. Dai's husband was persecuted to death in China by the Chinese communist regime for practicing Falun Gong.

Radio France International: CCP Continues Crackdown on Press Freedom Ahead of Olympic Games [15.09.2007]

On the 8th of September 2007, Radio France International reported that Human Rights Observer, an organisation headquartered in the US, published a report condemning the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for not making good its promise to the International Olympics Committee (IOC) on granting press freedom to the greatest extent possible.

Austria: National TV Station Introduces Falun Dafa to Viewers [29.08.2007]

Austrian practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and were interviewed on a nationwide news programme broadcast on August 17th. TV station ORF (NOE) carried the broadcast, which was a great introduction to Falun Dafa.

Human Rights Torch Relay Largely Covered in the French Media [23.08.2007]

On August 22nd 2007 the newspaper Libération, one of the three main national newspapers in France, distributed in other French speaking countries in the world, published a three quarter page article on the occasion of the Human Rights Torch Relay that was launched in Athens on August 8th and reached Germany on August 18th. The article reveals the attempt by the Chinese regime to extinguish the Human Rights Flame in Athens and made it clear that the Greek police did not yield to the Chinese authorities’ pressure.

Several Turkish Media Outlets Report Falun Gong Protest [03.07.2007]

On June 25th, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners held a large protest outside the Chinese Embassy. A number of mainstream media outlets reported the event. Several TV channels also reported the protest. The report on Kanal Turk TV was twenty minutes long, giving a detailed introduction to Falun Gong, the persecution and organ harvesting atrocities.

International Human Rights Lawyer David Matas Interviewed by Sound of Hope Radio [02.06.2007]

Famous Canadian international human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia Pacific) David Kilgour validated the claim that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is harvesting organs for profit from Falun Gong practitioners in China with their independent investigation report published in July 2006. Jewish himself, David Matas compared the persecution of the Jewish people during World War II to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners when he was interviewed by Sound Of Hope Radio Station in Germany.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s State Television Station Airs a Forty Minute Interview with a Falun Gong Practitioner [28.05.2007]

On May 9th, shortly before practitioners conducted activities for World Falun Gong Day, Bosnia’s state-owned television station FTV (Foederale TV) aired a forty minute interview with Igor Jancev, a practitioner from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is the representative for the Bosnian Falun Dafa Information Centre.

Vatican Radio Reports Organ Harvesting from Living Falun Gong Practitioners [09.04.2007]

“On March the 30th, at a seminar on China Affairs, two Canadian lawyers reported that doctors harvested organs in the situation of the victim being anesthetized. During or after the surgery process, the victim died. The two Canadians believed that the victims are Falun Gong practitioners. They said that because the remains are cremated, it is not possible to obtain corpses with organs harvested as evidence. The Chinese authorities refused to allow them to enter to China to conduct their investigation. From 2000 to 2005, there were 41,500 organs of unknown origin transplanted in China”

Radio Free Asia Reports on Lawlessness in Chinese Labour Camps [25.01.2007]

The Masanjia forced labour camp in Liaoning Province refused to provide to Mr Zhang Zhengtong, a Chinese student studying in Germany, any information about his wife Wang Xiaoyan who has been illegally detained there. At the coming of New Year, human rights groups in Germany are concerned with the situations of Wang Xiaoyan and Jiang Renzheng and demand the Chinese Communist regime to immediately stop persecuting them.

Important Statement by EU Commissioner Broadcast on Radio Germany [21.01.2007]

On January 15th, 2007, Deutsche Welle (Radio Germany) broadcast an interview with Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the European Union Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy. In the interview, Mrs. Ferrero-Waldner said, “China has to establish a suitable environment and atmosphere for human rights.” She added, “This includes many important steps. For example, China has to approve and implement the international conventions for civil and political rights.

Sound of Hope Special Broadcast in Austria: New Year's Greetings from Master Li Hongzhi [20.01.2007]

"The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has attempted to eliminate the peaceful meditation practice Falun Gong for seven years. Yet, the many New Year's greetings from around the world to Mr. Li Hongzhi show that Falun Gong is alive and well and has survived the unprecedented brutal campaign of the CCP. Given the numerous New Year's greetings from non-practitioners that also came from Mainland China, the founder of Falun Gong sent a New Year's greeting not only to his students but also to all people worldwide for the first time".

Radio Free Asia: The board of appeal fights for the rights of Falun Gong practitioners [27.12.2006]

In response to the detention and brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, the Board of Appeals of the German Parliament has made a resolution urging the Germany Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Parliament to take effective measures to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Renzheng was sentenced to three years in a labour camp after he was deported by the German government which underestimated the risk of Jiang’s return to China.

Radio Free Asia: A Husband Calls on German Society to Help Rescue his Detained Wife [26.12.2006]

Zhang Zhentong is an international student in Germany and his wife Wang Xiaoyan is being detained in the notorious Masanjia Labour Camp where she has been subject to brutal persecution. Zhang recently obtained evidence that his wife is being persecuted and thus called upon German society and government for help to rescue her. Zhang said, "Because she still refused go to give up her belief, to force her to write a letter denouncing Falun Gong, several male guards tied her to a “Death Bed”. The authority then had a doctor to force feed her with unknown drugs which damage the neurological system."

France: Radio Station "French Info" Reports on the Human Organ Trade in China [19.12.2006]

On November 28th, 2006, at a routine public hearing held at the French Premier’s office building, the French National Human Rights Advisory Committee invited the two Canadian independent investigators, David Kilgour and David Matas, to testify about the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party's trade in harvested organs.

Belgium: National Radio Interviews Falun Gong Practitioners Regarding Organ Harvesting by the CCP [12.12.2006]

After Belgian Senator Patrick Van Krunkelsven performed an investigation into organ trafficking by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and drew consistent conclusions with the Matas-Kilgour investigation, the Belgian media and people from all circles have paid close attention to this issue and the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. On November 27th, Belgian National Radio interviewed a local Falun Gong practitioner and broadcast the interview during its popular programme “Lopende Zaken”.

Spain: Interview with Practitioners on Primetime National TV [26.10.2006]

The presenter said that before the former head of the Chinese Communist Party Jiang Zemin initiated the nationwide persecution campaign in July 1999, Falun Gong practitioners had been supported and acclaimed by various government organisations. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. Mr Carlos, a practitioner, said that this persecution is one of the largest genocidal campaigns in history.

Swedish National TV: Organs for Sale [03.10.2006]

Since a while back it is known that China is selling organs taken from prisoners sentenced to death ... However, it is now claimed in a report published recently that the organs that are for sale on the internet also come from Falun Gong practitioners ... David Matas: "They are treated as, as less than human beings and the rhetoric suggests this whole evil cult propaganda that China makes it easier for people caught up in the system to kill these people without having the qualms of conscience they might have in killing others".

German Media Reports Falun Gong Practitioners’ Protests during Wen Jiabao’s Visit [30.09.2006]

During Chinese leader Wen Jiabao’s visit to Germany, Falun Gong practitioners organised activities in Hamburg and Berlin to protest against the Chinese Communist regime’s human rights abuses. They called on Wen to help end the persecution of Falun Gong in China, bring the main culprits of the persecution to justice, and release the illegally detained human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng. Gao wrote three open letters to Chinese leaders Hu and Wen calling them to stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. He was secretly detained by the regime a month ago.

German Magazine “Der Spiegel”: Human Rights Lawyer Gao Arrested [27.08.2006]

Beijing: The official news agency Xinhua reported that the arrest of forty two year old Gao Zhisheng was announced in a brief statement by police in Beijing. “Suspicion of entanglement with criminal activities” was cited as a reason for the arrest. In the past, Gao had been involved in the defence of Christians and Internet dissidents. In addition, he complained about the torture of Falun Gong practitioners, a movement that is prohibited in the People's Republic. He was disbarred last November and placed under police surveillance.

Radio France Internationale: The CCP Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang is Sued by Falun Gong practitioners in Paris [19.08.2006]

The French Falun Gong Association, on behalf of the three Falun Gong practitioners as the plaintiffs, filed a complaint with the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris to sue Zhou Yongkang, the CCP Minister of Public Security and State Council Member of China and the former CCP General Secretary of Sichuan Province. The complaint alleges that Zhou Yongkang bears direct responsibility for the crimes of torture against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Bulgaria: Two Radio Broadcasts about Falun Gong in the City of Varna [12.08.2006]

On “Alfa Radio”, the practitioners talked about the persecution in China, the imprisonment of practitioners in labour camps, mental institutions and prisons and the evidences for organ harvesting for profit by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The practitioners told the listeners about the good physical health that Falun Gong brings.
