Police Chief Bai Jinlong, came to the house of Dafa practitioner Yu Huiqin and tried to take her away by force. Yu Huiqin resisted with her righteous thoughts and righteous actions. Shortly after, about seven or eight policemen led by Detention Centre Police Chief Xia Yongkun clambered over Yu's garden wall and entered her yard. They crashed through windows and smashed down the door to gain entry into Yu's house. Without showing any identification, the policemen seized Yu Huiqin and dragged her away. Nobody knows where she was taken.

Together, three or four police dragged her out. Ms.Cao was very strong and brave. She kept clarifying the truth to more than a hundred people who were standing nearby. Her daughter could no longer tolerate the police illegally arresting her mother, so she went to the police car to prevent the police from putting her mother in the car. The police, with total disregard for the law or human decency, immediately arrested her daughter. When her son-in-law tried to protect his wife, the police arrested him as well. Neither her daughter nor son-in-law are Falun Gong practitioners.

The Public Security Bureau began removing citizens from their homes for incarceration and torture while attributing this round of state-sponsored terrorism to the accusation that these citizens were spreading SARS rumours. These local police then applied barbaric tactics aimed at coercing the practitioners into renouncing their freedom of belief. Following their torture, some practitioners have continued to suffer in a crippled state.

The police, wielding guns and using a hammer on the door, finally broke through around noontime. The door was completely destroyed. Disregarding his condition, the police carried him away, as his mother fell to the ground and cried out loudly. The police deceived his mother and took her into the vehicle and drove to the police substation. The surrounding residents all saw the polices' atrocities and felt very angry.

They abducted her to Donghu District Police Department. Zhou Xiangfeng beat her arms and legs with a metal rod. To prevent Jiang Lanying from practising the Falun Gong exercises, political head Li put a stool on her legs and they then sat on the stool. They took turns to torture her for two days and nights. Later they sent her to a detention centre and her family was not even allowed to visit her. By the end of February 2003, Jiangxi Province Women's Prison authorities suddenly notified her mother to visit her in the Changzheng Hospital, a labour camp hospital. Her mother then learned that she had been sentenced to five years of imprisonment and that she had been on a hunger strike to protest the illegal sentence.

While she was detained in Beijing, the Beijing police transported practitioners who peacefully appealed to remote mountains and valleys late at night. Some of them were beaten until they were bleeding all over or near death. The police then dug a pit to bury them alive (the purpose was to force them to tell their address). The mud already went up to her neck. The police abandoned those who still refused to tell their address. There are many people who were abandoned in remote mountains like that.

Why did the township head and policemen take an unmarked car and try to arrest the practitioner without being noticed? They knew what they did couldn't withstand public scrutiny, but they still did it against their conscience in order to reach a targeted quota and achieve personal gain.

Pei Guangxin's wife has been illegally arrested on over ten separate occasions, and has twice been sent to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Mr. Pei and his daughter, who was not even six years old at the time that her mother was taken, have become dependant upon each other during these past four years of hardship. Now Mr. Pei is also detained simply for refusing to give up his belief in "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance."

Zhou Xuefei, wife of Atlanta practitioner Lu Zhaohui, is being detained at the Sanshui Female Labour Camp. Xuefei is being forced to do long hours of intense labour, and make embroidery products for exportation. Because of being inhumanly tortured for the past two years, she has become nearly blind. Her family's request to bail her out for medical treatment was rejected. Now her life is in great danger.

Those who persecuted Ms. Wei were terribly fearful of their crimes being discovered and tried hard to cover up the facts. Meanwhile, the guilty parties became even more evil and escalated their persecution of other practitioners and truth-clarifying materials sites. Recently more and more practitioners have been abducted.

Policemen Song Xiaoyun and Gao, along with the Neighbourhood Committee Director, broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Hanxiang (inside the Zhongfa Cereal and Oil Store) on the afternoon of June 12, 2003, without a search warrant. They searched her body and ransacked her home. Two other practitioners managed to escape. Practitioner Lü Hengyou and his child were arrested while shopping at the store, and have not been heard from since.

Whenever I heard the guards turn on a loudspeaker to the unbearable maximum volume, I knew they were persecuting her by force-feeding. For quite a long time it had been impossible to put a tube to force-feed her because of the injuries in her nose, oesophagus and stomach, so the thugs cuffed her on a bed and let some people pull her hair and pinch her nose and cheek so that they could pour highly salted rice soup into her mouth. Every time they "fed" her that way for more than an hour.

Mr. Liu had a very good attitude and appeared to be mature beyond his young age. Acting as an elder person would, he cared for practitioners newly detained there and other detainees. Mr. Liu was righteous, noble and open; he explained the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution to non-practitioners in the jail. He validated Falun Dafa through his own behaviour and the impression he made on others. Mr. Liu was respected and much-loved by his fellow inmates.

Police in Jinan City were making use of the people's fear of SARS to find Zhang Mengcheng. This treacherous means of arousing panic in the populace in order to achieve its own purpose is no different from what Jiang did. If some SARS patients really did escape from the hospital, I am sure that the public would not have been told. This is because what Jiang and his regime are interested in is not people's safety, but their own power and position.

At the beginning of 2002, the Tonghua City Police Department purchased a batch of sophisticated video cameras. Later they bought steel boxes to protect the cameras and 15 police vans. They also hired over 30 unemployed ex-prisoners who had just been released from jail, and asked them to help the police monitor Dafa practitioners and the truth-clarifying material printing sites.

There is news of a document issued by the Central Henan Provincial Party Committee to the City and other regions that is laying out plans for another round of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Zhengzhou City Council has forwarded this document to other departments together with its own memorandum.

Several policemen went to her home and banged on her door on the evening of May 11, 2002. Zhang refused to open the door. The policemen continued to pound on the door and kept shouting, so her daughter had no choice but to open the door. The whole group of policemen rushed in and searched her home.Though they found nothing, they forced Zhang into the police car and fooled her family by telling them that they would just ask her a few questions at the police station and send her back after a while.

The police from the "610 Office" tried to brainwash her, forcing her to watch videos that slander Falun Gong and to listen to the nonsense of practitioners who have been brainwashed by the continual propaganda. The officials from the "610 Office" said, "Except transformation, you have no other ways but death," "You will never be able to go home if you refuse transformation," and "If this place cannot transform you, you will be sent to the labour camp. If the labour camp cannot transform you, you will be sent to prison."

On April 28th, Meng Xiangli started a hunger strike to protest the inhuman treatment. On April 30th, Zhao Chunying started a hunger strike. On May 1st, all of the practitioners started a hunger strike. The detention centre started to brutally force-feeding the practitioners. In the middle of May, practitioner Zhao Chunying died from the torture. The details are to be investigated. Later Meng Xiangli was sent to the hospital for emergency care.

On May 8, 2003, police from the Shijiazhuang "610 Office" arrested Li Huiqi's other sister Li Huixin (who had been forced into homelessness in order to avoid being arrested). They then dragged Li Huixin to Li Huiqi's home, and arrested Li Huimin who was taking care of Li Huiqi at the time. Li Huimin tried to reason with the police: "Li Huiqi is completely paralysed and she needs constant care. If you take her caretaker away that is as good as killing her. If you take me away, who will take care of her?"

On March 28, 2003, his supervisor suddenly told him to rest at home for a few days, in order to deceive him. On March 30, Shijiazhuang City police officers surrounded Liu's house to arrest him. Liu was injured after being forced to jump from the fifth floor to avoid entrapment. He was sent to the neurology department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Bethune International Peace Hospital, but we do not know if he is alive or dead.

At around 9:00 p.m., the director of the police station and others arrived at her home and wanted to take her away by force. Cao Yuhua refused to cooperate with the police and was carried away by 5 police officers from the 4th floor without a coat or shoes. The officers hit her hard on her head with a hard object and stated, "Let's torture her to death. Do not think of going home without [paying us] 30,000 Yuan." [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] The police then put her in a detention centre

Then they kidnapped and detained Falun Gong practitioners in the freezing garage. Meanwhile, the corrupt police ordered a feast for themselves, eating and laughing wildly. Some of them said that the Police Station Director would soon receive an award. The following morning, the police sent the wife to Yanshan County Brainwashing Centre, where she remains today. Back home, one child of the elder brother is left to look after the 80+ year-old grandma and two young cousins.

The agents swarmed into the house, kidnapped Xing's mother and sent her to the Xiajiadian Brainwashing Centre in Shiyan City. Xing's sister stepped forward to try to stop the arrest and yelled for help. Xing Xu then ordered two doctors to forcefully give his sister an injection.

In order to cover up their illegal act, they fabricated and told several lies to Mr. Ding's workplace, saying that he had hidden a photocopier, and even that he had beaten them up, and they thus asked his workplace to take deductions from his wages to compensate them. By this deceptive means, Nie wrongfully extorted Mr. Ding's work wages. In order to provide incentive for the public security officers to arrest more Falun Dafa practitioners, the politics and law department used an 'award' of 500 Yuan for the arrest of each practitioner. The greedy policemen gave up their own humanity in order to get more money.

On December 29, 2000, the department head tricked her, asking her to come to his office. When she arrived, the police kidnapped her. "I've been tracking Zhou for more than one month," a police officer said. Ms. Zhou was illegally arrested because she had donated money to produce materials that explain the facts about Falun Gong.

Because she appealed in Beijing, all four members of her family (her mother, brother, and sister) were detained and persecuted by the government of Tanfu Town. Mother Hui Zenghua and brother Gong Pibing were put into labour camps because they wouldn't give up Falun Gong, they had appealed in Beijing, and they had let homeless practitioners stay with them. Sister Gong Shuqin was denied entry to university after taking the entrance exams just because she had appealed in Beijing.

The practitioners sternly rejected their demands. How could honest people accept statements that are blatently untrue? Among the 14 abducted practitioners, 11 were sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Their families were not notified, and no one knows the current status of these 11 practitioners. We have no information about whether they are alive or dead.

They made many threats to the practitioner's life, and claimed nobody would know anything even if they killed him. "Nobody in Hailun City knows you are here, and we asked about you at your work place and your family. Already, the police station, the linen factory and Department of Economics are looking for you." Chen Jingming also said to him, "You have never seen people thrown into a smelting pit, right?"

The cold-hearted police pushed the mother and daughter-in-law out of the door amidst the crying of the young boy, and then forced them into the police car… They did not know how to cook. In the beginning, kind-hearted neighbours brought some meals to the young boy, but he always thought about his mother, and often cried himself to sleep. The effect on his little heart was detrimental.

During the persecution of Falun Gong he had accepted numerous cash awards for arresting Falun Dafa practitioners in the area. The police officer complained that it was increasingly more difficult to catch practitioners... His dirty income had dropped severely. When he learned that the housekeeper once practised Falun Gong, he was overjoyed. He planned to arrest her immediately and turn her in for the cash reward.

One day in late December 2002, Dafa practitioner Mr. Gao Changze appealed for Dafa by riding his bicycle throughout the Huairou District in Beijing displaying a sign that said, "Falun Dafa is Good--Free Bicycle Repair." On the second day, he was abducted by police officers and sent to a detention centre. Presently he is still detained.

This gentleman held a responsible position at his work. He integrated the universal principles of Truthfulness – Compassion – Tolerance into his life, yet the Jiang regime now say it is a crime to uphold these moral values. He didn't surrender to extensive pressure, and instead continued to steadfastly practise Falun Gong. At the beginning of this year, while he was on duty, Cai Zhigang was required to talk with some people, and in this way he was deceived into going to the brainwashing centre.

Recently the authorities have been using such contemptible means to arrest and persecute Dafa practitioners. By taking advantage of Dafa practitioners' compassion and trust in others, they entrapped practitioners who had left their homes into coming back to their hometowns, and then illegally arrested them.

A practitioner's family member, a man over 50 years old, who does not practise Falun Gong, was kidnapped to the county detention centre. It is shocking that the police tortured him by hanging him up by handcuffs and then beating him. It is even more unbelievable that the Public Security intend to sentence him to thirteen years in prison. Such is the extent of the paranoia of the Jiang regime that someone simply associated with a Falun Gong practitioner is subjected to the same inhuman treatment.

When this practitioner, who did not realise what had happened, came quickly, he realised that something was wrong. He immediately turned back, and ran for his life. During the frantic chase, the police shot at the practitioner three times, but luckily missed!

The police were afraid that the neighbours would come and stop their evil actions, so they stuffed the practitioners' mouths to gag them and threatened that if they made any noise, the police would carry them away in sacks. Thus Lin Xueyou and Hu Hongyu were forcibly arrested and are presently detained in the Xinjin Detention Centre.

A Deputy Party Secretary said, We have specific orders from the highest source. No laws will be applied in handling Falun Gong practitioners: you have neither freedom nor rights. We will ruin your reputation, bankrupt you financially and destroy your physical body. We can torture you in whatever way we want!"

Zhu Houyou had very poor health and suffered from various illnesses before practicing Falun Dafa. After practicing Falun Dafa his health improved and he found it a pleasure to help others. When Zhu Houyou was arrested, all his neighbours and people who knew him just could not understand why a good person like him should be taken away. It really did not make sense. Now Zhu Houyou is being tortured in the Benxi forced labour camp.

Some police would rush up into the building [where practitioners lived] and, when they saw the practitioners, they would grab each of them and stuff them into a large gunnysack, then beat and kick him/her before carrying the bagged practitioner downstairs and throwing him/her into a police car.

Liu Ying returned home since she missed her two-year old child. The local police station abducted her and locked her up. She protested by holding a hunger strike. When she came home, her husband, under pressure, forced her to have a divorce..

He was kidnapped from his home. The police took him to a dark corner and beat him up savagely. He was beaten so badly that he received 8 stitches on his head. His whereabouts remain unknown.

The police also struck practitioners on the head, face and hands with belts and struck their faces, hands and ears with flyswatters. Whenever the flyswatters broke from hitting practitioners, they used the handle instead. They stomped and kicked practitioners, and struck their heads as if hitting a punching bag. They locked practitioners in small cells and tied them onto "Dead Man's Beds."

Police broke into a Dafa practitioner's home. Without saying a word, the police covered the head of Xu Zhaobin and brutally beat him. After the police got tired of beating Xu, they arrested him and took him away without allowing him to put on some warm clothing and shoes. Liu Suying and two other Dafa practitioners were also arrested at the same time. The police looted the place, taking a notebook PC, printer, laminating machine, a large amount of office supplies, cash, and everything in the computer room.

When the old lady had barely opened the door, the ruffians, who were all well prepared, rushed in. They pinched a nerve in the old lady's neck and pushed her to the floor. The old lady screamed loudly from the pain. She was taken into the police car without even having time to take a breath.

Dafa practitioner Zhang Xiufen and Wang Yuying were employees of a local company. On September 26, police officers kidnapped them at work and sent them to a brainwashing class. They refused to co-operate with the police in the brainwashing class and went on a hunger strike to protest the their crimes. Nevertheless, the police kept torturing and abusing them. Currently, they are extremely weak and their lives are in grave danger.

On July 19 2002, because of a collaborator’s betrayal, police kidnapped him, and he is currently illegally detained in Yantai. Due to a hunger strike and brutal torture, he is now in a life-threatening situation. When facing interrogation, he took the entire situation upon himself, and did not implicate any other practitioners. As a result, the police could not obtain any information from him.
