Czech Minister of Interior Affairs Condemns the Persecution of Falun Gong [05.05.2008]

”Let me join everyone who shows solidarity with the persecuted members of the Falun Gong spiritual movement. I decide to do so after being introduced to the elementary principles of its teachings based on following Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in everyday life ... I strongly condemn the violence committed by the Chinese government on Falun Gong practitioners."

Czech Republic: Czech Cabinet Members Raise their Voices in Support of Falun Gong [23.03.2008]

Czech Minister of Finance Miroslav Kalousek joined the petition calling for an immediate end of persecution of Falun Gong. In a letter send to Czech Association of Falun Gong, minister Kalousek stated: “It is my honour to undersign this petition of yours. Former Estonian Prime Minister Calls for an End to the CCP Atrocities [06.11.2007]

Mr. Laar said that the 27 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the CCP have made a courageous and correct choice. He said: “a classic communist tactic is both persecuting yourself and your family members. In fact, they [the CCP] fear the public. Once the fear among the public vanishes, the CCP reign of terror will collapse.”

October 2007

UK Member of Parliament: "Human rights violations are widespread in the People's Republic of China." [15.10.2007]

"The People's Republic of China has the unenviable record of being the world's No. 1 human rights abuser. In terms of judicial executions, as far as we can tell, it executes more people than the rest of the world put together, but it is difficult to come to a definitive figure on how many people have been executed. The last time I researched it, we came up with the figure that 10,000 people had been executed in a single year in China, but it is difficult to know because, as my right hon. Friend the Member for Streatham demonstrated, many of them take place in extraordinary situations and in great secrecy."

UK Member of Parliament: “The repression, imprisonment and mistreatment of Falun Gong practitioners should cease” [14.10.2007]

"They should allow independent, third-party investigations in China and I very much hope that the British Government will press for that in their discussions with the Chinese authorities. Let us be clear: harvesting the organs of unwilling donors is a crime against humanity and it is for the Chinese to take action to end this evil. The repression, imprisonment and mistreatment of Falun Gong practitioners should also cease. I hope that, in their dialogue with the Chinese on human rights, Ministers will press for an end to that persecution."

Czech Minister Alexandr Vondra Condemns Persecution Against Falun Gong [13.10.2007]

“Freedom of conscience and belief is a cornerstone of a free society. China can never be equal to developed countries until it is able to assume responsibility for human rights. It is the human rights which have been the cornerstone of international law since Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I would also like to declare my solidarity with persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, especially today, when due to China’s growing economy less and less attention is paid to systematic human rights abuses in China.”

August 2007

Speech by David Kilgour at the Human Rights Torch Lighting Ceremony in Athens [31.08.2007]

"David Matas and I completed the revised edition of an independent study earlier this year, which concluded to our horror that since 1999 the government of China and its agencies in numerous regions of the country have put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience (The investigation report is available in seventeen languages at organharvestinvestigation.net). Their vital organs, including kidneys, livers and corneas, were seized involuntarily for sale at high prices and to foreigners, who normally face long waits for voluntary donations of such organs in their home countries. This is absolutely not what we expect from any government hosting the Olympics."

Member of UK House of Lords: Boycott the Olympic Games to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong [26.08.2007]

"We are deeply concerned by reports that the Chinese authorities have so far murdered at least 3,000 practitioners since the persecution began and that they have been implicated in the widespread practice of organ-harvesting from live prisoners, which has been condemned by governments and human rights organizations alike. However, we believe it is time for the world to take a much stronger position toward the Chinese government. We are now calling for a boycott of the 2008 Beijing Olympics by all right-minded nations, unless China changes its stance on Falun Gong and stops the torture and genocide immediately."

He also recounted that during Hu’s visit to Berlin in November 2005 they had already touched upon this topic and made it public at the press conference in Berlin.

MP from Belgium: “I fully support the investigation by the CIPFG” [19.02.2007]

"We see a continuing violation of human rights, which even cannot be openly protested against without facing the consequence of immediate liquidation. It is also impossible for organizations to help people, because of the ever increasing corruption and abuse of power in China, as seems from the reports of Amnesty International. The most distinguished group of victims at the moment are Falun Gong practitioners. There is a whole case of evidence about the brutal persecution of this group of people."

London Assembly Member Councillor Brian Coleman Sends Message of Support to CIPFG-Europe [11.02.2007]

"I am sorry that I cannot join you today at your press conference. I wholeheartedly support the work of the Coalition to investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China. I am extremely concerned at the reports of organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners and I utterly condemn this abhorrent practice which contravenes all international human rights legislation and common decency. I call upon the Government of China to call an end to these inhuman and disgusting transplants."

Dutch MP's Statement of Support for the Establishment of CIPFG-Europe [08.02.2007]

"CIPFG is a global alliance to uncover the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong and particularly the organ harvesting. I would like to support this Coalition and its investigative teams around the world to go to China. The CIPFG-teams should get unrestricted access to all detention facilities including labour camps and mental institutions. Such access should be made available immediately without delay. I urge all governments, including the Dutch and the European authorities, to support this appeal and to exercise more pressure on China to come to this result."

January 2007

Speech Given by David Kilgour During Rally in Prague [27.01.2007]

"Very briefly I’d like to say to you that David Matas and I studied this terrible problem of organ harvesting and we’ve concluded that thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China have been killed and their organs have been sold for large amounts of money ... If it doesn’t stop this terrible thing that it is doing how can anyone of us anyone of you go to Beijing in 2008 to watch the Olympic Games? What kind of an Olympic spirit is it put on by a government that kills its own people?"

July 2006

UK Member of Parliament: “I urge China’s leaders to … take note of the international outrage its actions are causing” [29.07.2006]

"It is estimated that over the past seven years, nearly 3,000 people have been killed as a result of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. In addition, 6,000 have been sent to prison and 100,000 sent to forced labour camps. This represents a gross violation of human rights by the Chinese government. I have stated before that if China is serious about playing an increasingly important role in world affairs, the human rights situation must be addressed as a priority. It is wholly unacceptable that abuse of political dissidents and followers of peaceful spiritual groups such as Falun Gong are persecuted in the ways described."

UK Parliamentarians Denounce the Chinese Communist Party’s Human Rights Abuses [28.07.2006]

These are not issues that can be ignored indefinitely.”

UK MP Responds to the CCP's Organ Harvesting Crimes [24.06.2006]

“I will certainly do all I can to try to bring these practices to an end. A key demand which could help tackle the abuse of prisoners and other human rights issues is for Amnesty and other human rights organisations to be able to visit China, meet people and make reports. I urged the Minister responding to the debate to raise this and the other human rights issues, when he visits China in the near future.”

France: Vice-President of the Parliament’s Reply Showing Concern over the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners [18.06.2006]

"I have received your letter on June the 4th calling my attention to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Your letter has raised my awareness of this issue. I have taken a note of it. "The condition of prisoners in China is increasingly well-known but it is only in recent months that a particular mistreatment - of Falun Gong practitioners - has come to light, namely the selection of prisoners for 'reverse-match' organ and tissue transplants, leading to their deaths. This is genocide, as defined in Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide..."

Danish MP Calls for an Urgent Investigation into Concentration Camps in China [11.05.2006]

"This kind of thing must be stopped. What I mean is that the International Red Cross should be allowed to investigate the true situation in there, just as the situation happened in the Gulag concentration camps and Nazi concentration camps in those years. It is most important that the international societies investigate what has really happened there, rather than merely base the situation on this report. It counts for much, so the international societies should exert pressure on the CCP."

Belgian Member of Parliament Raises Parliamentary Question about Organ Harvesting Against Falun gong Practitioners [05.05.2006]

"Last week, more and more reports came out about the fact that in China prison camps are built for Falun Gong practitioners. In a certain camp it is said there are more then six thousand Falun Gong practitioners and yet nobody has come out alive. According to certain messages the camp in Shenyang contains a crematorium and an unusually large number of doctors are working there. The reason for this would be the fact that there are practices whereby prisoners are killed for their organs which are being sold for profit. The messages are so shocking that they seem unbelievable. Meanwhile different witnesses appeared who confirm those reports and also according to journalistic and scientific sources those prison camps do actually exist."

April 2006

Swiss MPs and International NGOs Condemn the Crimes of the CCP Concentration Camp [27.04.2006]

"We feel very painful whenever we hear that those who are asking for freedom of belief and speech as stated in the International Human Rights Convention are being persecuted. We are urgently requesting the international community to together call for the end of crimes against humanity and take action to rescue the 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners who are still locked up in the Concentration Camp. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany has strongly condemned the way of taking the persecution of Falun Gong as the norm in China.
