Practitioners in Ankara were invited by the Artists Association to host a Falun Gong introductory forum on September 30th, 2006. The participants were from various backgrounds, including artists, writers, teachers, anchors of radio stations, businessmen, government officials, retirees and homemakers. Falun Gong exercise instruction was offered to the participants

In the middle of September, “BR-Untervegs” from the TV Station of Bavaria in Germany came to Cham city, face to face, listening to evaluation, suggestions and comments about the TV Station from their audience. Representatives of the Falun Gong Human Rights Work Group from Cham city were invited to express their thinking to the media people face to face.

18-year-old Zhu Xiuyun was working outside of her hometown and heard news that her father, practitioner Mr. Zhu Yanghe, was arrested, and sentenced to prison and that her home was raided. She could not understand why all of this took place. On August 19th, 2006, Zhu Xiuyun went to the county courthouse with an appeal letter. The courthouse contacted the head of the county 610 Office, Li Shilin, who called the county police station. Over ten police officers showed up and arrested the young girl without any documentation or just cause. She was sentenced to three years in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison.

Mr. Gai Guangqi is a 56-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. After becoming a practitioner, his health improved and his spirit was uplifted. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Dafa, Mr. Gai went many times to appeal in Beijing, speaking out in support of Dafa. As a result, he has been detained, suffered extortion and torture many times at the hands of local authorities, suffered three years of forced labour, endured brainwashing and more.

In their attempt to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their belief, the officers at Duyun Prison use all kinds of torture methods to torment and brutalise them. They have given these methods nicknames and compiled an assortment of tortures into what they call a "menu" e.g. "Stir-Fry Kidney": One or two prisoners raise the practitioner's arms and strike at the waist and kidney area with their elbows until the victim vomits blood; "Plucking Chicken Wings" The practitioner's hands are cuffed behind the back and then he's hung from bunk beds, or the arms are stretched and cuffed between bunk beds.

Falun Gong practitioners 63-year-old Mr. Fu Yong'an and 63-year-old Ms. Liu Xianglan, both retired employees from Tsinghua University in Beijing, were sentenced to forced labour camps for two years. Ms. Liu's family members were allowed to meet with her for the first time on September 11th, 2006, after she had been detained for six months. The family met with Mr. Fu once at the end of July 2006. According to the family, Mr. Fu and Ms. Liu are both now very thin. From their conversations with the couple, the family learned that the conditions at Qinghe Detention Centre are very bad.

Harbin City Women's Prison brainwash the practitioners under duress. Starting in the spring of 2002, they dictated that the practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Gong have to walk all the time, from spring to winter. In 2003, the different teams dragged outside female practitioners who refused to cooperate. Then male guards would torture them. They used whips and electric batons against the practitioners, in addition to punching and kicking them. In winter, they make the practitioners go outside and stay there for several days in a row. The practitioners are also forced to lie on their stomaches on piles of excrement. Some practitioners' feet and hands have become frostbitten.

I recently received a letter from an immigration officer at the Canadian Embassy in Thailand in which I was informed that my application for transfer to Canada had been denied. The following are my reasons for contacting you at this time. This information is vital for many UN applicants and others.

"All happy families are like one another; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." This quote from Leo Tolstory is well known. However, in today’s China, thousands upon thousands of families are unhappy in the same way. Members of their families practise Falun Gong, so they are illegally arrested and detained. This causes the families to crumble, and even fall apart. Even before entering into my marriage, I suffered such pain.

Lai Ching-Te requests the Executive Yuan to allocate funds, to immediately create public education programmes to fully inform the Taiwanese people of human rights violations in Mainland China, including live organ harvesting, in order to protect Taiwanese people's lives, property and their right to know.

In advance of Japan's new Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to China on August 8th, Falun Gong practitioners in Japan went to parliament to appeal. The practitioners held banners that read, "Stop the CCP’s killing of Falun Gong practitioners".
