Falun Gong practitioners in Holland, together with people from The Epoch Times newspaper and supporters protested in front of the Chinese Embassy in The Hague. They strongly condemned the Chinese Communist regime's hoodlum agents for assaulting Falun Gong practitioner and chief technical officer of The Epoch Times Dr. Peter Yuan Li in the USA.

“In 2002 when I read the book Zhuan Falun, I felt that the principle of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” on which Falun Gong is based are very good. I hoped that I could be a person who lives my life by those principles. After practising Falun Gong exercises, my back pain was miraculously healed."

"Jing Wang is a follower of the Falun Gong movement that has been persecuted since 1999 in China and she is well informed about human rights violations including abductions, torture, forced labour camps and the death penalty. The penal code allows for arbitrary arrest and sentencing of unwanted individuals under the pretext that they are endangering public security or that they are counterrevolutionary or subversive. Ms. Wang said that the communists feel especially threatened by groups like Falun Gong that have a spiritual orientation and have been extremely popular during the last few years."

Police at Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province attempted to compel a more than six months pregnant woman to renounce her belief in Falun Gong. They made her stand on a stool, and then tied her hands with a thick rope tightly to a horizontal girder and kicked the stool away. She hung in midair 3 metres off the floor. One end of the rope went through a pulley and the police officer held the other end. When he released the rope, the practitioner would fall rapidly to the ground, landing on her buttocks. The expectant mother was thus tortured this way continuously until she had a spontaneous abortion and was in indescribable pain. The police were even more cruel by ordering her husband to stand by and watch his wife being tortured.

Mr. Lei Bifu had to leave his home after police illegally searched his house and took away his personal possessions. On January 18th, 2006, Mr. Lei's family members went to the police station to ask for their private possessions. Police officer Chen Zhangsong shouted at them, "You still have the guts to come to us for your stuff? We'll go to your house to pick up Lei during the Chinese New Year. We'll arrest him if he comes back. Don't come here to bother us. If you do it again, we'll take steps against you, too. If Lei dares to come back, I'll shoot him dead."

In December 2000, Ms. Wang Jinghao was sent to Balizhuang Women's Forced Labour Camp, located at Baoding. She did not want to give up her cultivation. Team leaders began by tying both her legs with police rope, shocking her with an electric baton, tying her to a wooden board, and forcing her to stand next to the wall for fifteen days. While she was tied to the wooden board, the employees burned her with cigarettes, prohibited her from sleeping at night, slapped her with a leather belt if she closed her eyes, and propped her eyes open with bamboo sticks after slapping her face. They also forced her to squat in the corner and hold her own head while they beat her back with a leather belt.

Ms. Cheng Qingyun was an older Falun Dafa practitioner in her 70s who lived in Shengyang City. She became very healthy after she began practising Falun Dafa. However, she was repeatedly persecuted. She was taken to the police station and tortured. She was brutally beaten by her daughter-in-law, who was poisoned by the lies and threats of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Ms. Cheng passed away in August 2004. Two of her daughters were sentenced to forced labour.

The attack on Dr. Li shows that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution against Falun Gong is not only confined to China. This case again confirms that the CCP is the greatest source of communist criminal activity in the world today. Ignoring or holding unrealistic hopes for the CCP for any reason are no different than sanctioning the evil, and will eventually lead to even greater damage.

One month later, all of my illnesses were healed and I did not need any more medicine. What a miracle! For the first time in my life I felt the joy of being disease-free. My daughter said excitedly: "Mom, it is so good. Falun Gong is so good; it is indescribable! If we did not practice Falun Gong ourselves, how could we believe that there is such a good cultivation practice in the world?" As my daughter spoke, tears gushed out of her eyes. I, too, was extremely moved touched, shedding many tears.

"I solemnly swear that I withdraw my membership from all Communist Party organisations. All previously written declarations and applications made in the past are invalid from now on. This is declared by: New Life." -- The statements above comprise a Communist Party membership withdrawal declaration that a friend asked me to publish. It is a very simple statement but there is a significant story behind it.

Peter Li was beaten and tied up by CCP hired thugs and agents who forced their way into his house after pretending to be delivery men. They stole two of his laptops and important documents. Family jewellery was left untouched. Vancouver practitioners condemned the CCP's terrorist activity and called on the US Government to investigate the incident.

An account of Peter Li's beating was put on a bulletin board for students to read and leave comments. The words on the signature collection sheet: "We are young Americans who learned about the beating and robbery inflicted on Mr. Peter Li by the Communist Party and we place our initials in protest that such criminality could take place in our country."

Not seeing him for three days, his countrymen thought Zhou Chu was dead. They started a celebration to cheer for the elimination of the three hazards. Right then Zhou Chu returned and saw the festivities. He realised just how much people hated him and felt ashamed. This incident made him even more determined to reform himself and to live a new life.
