A police officer who mistreated Falun Dafa practitioners under his command also received karmic retribution when he fell from a motorcycle, splitting open his head and nearly losing his life. After his recovery, he awakened to his wrongdoings and chose to leave the detention centre where Falun Dafa practitioner were mistreated. In fact, he left the police force entirely. He now lives a very fulfilling life.

According to Buddhist scriptures, "Udumbara" is a Sanskrit word, meaning "an auspicious flower from heaven." Volume 8 of the Huilin Phonetics and Interpretation, a Buddhist scripture, says: "Udumbara is the product of ominous and supernatural phenomena; it is a celestial flower and does not exist in the mundane world."

In order to defile Falun Gong, the guards publicized the six criteria of a cult in the detention centre. Ms. Zhang wrote them down one by one. Then she matched the characteristics of Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party to each of the criteria. What she did was clear and logical. The guards were so fearful of her actions that they were sweating beads.

Today, more than 24 million Chinese people have resigned from the CCP and its affiliated organizations--the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. According to the Global Service Center for Quitting the Party, volunteers with the service centers have received many calls, faxes, and emails from Chinese people wanting to quit, along with many inquiries asking for details about how to quit the Party and its Youth League and Young Pioneers. There have been many touching incidents.

Mr. Zi Beijia, a 28-year-old reporter for a Beijing TV Station, was recently charged with "fabricating a report" soon after his TV program "Cardboard Dumplings" was aired on "Transparency." The program revealed that certain dumpling makers in China used waste cardboard as dumpling filling. Zi Beijia was sentenced on August 12th, 2007 to one year behind bars at Beijing's No. 2 Intermediate People's Court and fined 1,000 Yuan. The incident has stirred up much controversy. Which one is fake - the "dumplings" or the report?

The following speech was presented by former Canadian MP David Kilgour at the launching of the Human Rights Torch Relay in Athens, Greece on August 9th, 2007. In the coming year, the Human Rights Torch will be carried to cities all over the world in an attempt to raise awareness of the crimes against humanity being perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party in China.

The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing.

A new phrase has become fashionable with the CCP in its attempt to create the illusion that the CCP is getting in line with the international community. The phrase is "international practice." "International practice" is used as an excuse when Chinese banks overcharge their clients, when doctors accept cash tips, when road authorities refuse to buy domestic products when inviting bids, when airlines overbook seats, and even when universities overcharge students. The phrase is even used when government monopolies exploit others to benefit themselves. They say that their corrupt practice of offering material benefits is "international practice."

According to a Financial Times report in August 2007, the official pork supplier for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will raise pigs with organic feed in an isolated place, meaning no hormones or similar chemicals will be used, thus providing athletes with safe pork. But it will take between one and three months more than the usual way pigs are raised. However, Qianxihe Group, the supplier, was not intimidated and said, "We are the exclusive pork supplier to the Olympic Games. This is a political task, and cost is not a factor in a political task." The "politicizing" of raising pigs has become the object of ridicule among Chinese Internet users, and some people commented, "The pigs within the system are most fortunate!" Of course, this is not to say that the Chinese communist regime respects pigs' rights; but rather they are showing respect for foreigners' wellbeing. And thus there are people who ask, "Now that foreigners are safe, what about us Chinese?"

It has been eight years since the Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong. Whatever it has done has simply promoted Falun Gong to more and more people. Now the practice has already spread to more than 80 countries around the world and so many people from all levels of strata and ethnicity are practising Falun Gong. Practitioners clarify the truth serenely and tell people the facts, which is admired by the Chinese people. Many police officers are writing letters to apologize to Falun Dafa practitioners, saying that from now on they will protect them.

The Communist Party has colluded with Jiang Zemin and the Luo Gan group since July in 1999. They misused the entire government machinery, including the military, regular police, armed police, media, diplomatic departments, the Party affairs system, the administration system, the financial system, pseudo-religious groups, and many others to persecute Falun Gong. This persecution is unprecedented in terms of its scale, expenses and the population it affected.

Isn't it a correct assumption that economic development is for the purpose of improving the quality of life? Without actually respecting life, what is the use of talking about improving the quality of life? So, to assess the "Green GDP," besides considering environmental pollution, people also need to include "human rights pollution." Only in this way can the genuine picture of China under the Communist regime's rule be truly reflected.

The Communist Party knows that its policies are not popular among the people, so in order to shirk responsibilities and deceive people, they have, for quite some time, used cunning means to create lies upon lies to brainwash the nations people. The sad thing is that some Chinese people have indeed accepted these lies and are willingly defending them.

As the 2008 Beijing Olympics approach, voices from different international organisations calling on the Chinese regime to improve its human rights record are growing louder. Reporters without Borders, Amnesty International, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Human Rights Watch, and other international human rights organisations have published reports and held activities to ask the Beijing government to fulfil its promises of improving the Chinese people's human rights.

In terms of labelling the persecution facts "lies," examining the CCP's history could shed some light on this issue. The CCP has never shied away from lies and violence. It also has a habit of calling the victims "liars." If the CCP was so certain that those were lies, why was it so afraid to let the international community investigate the situation? The fact is, it has never let the international community investigate any one of the incidences that Falun Gong practitioners exposed. All it could do was to intensity the persecution and force relevant people testify falsely, or kill the victims to conceal the truth.

As a matter of fact, the most prominent characteristic of these sham folk songs is that none of them are spontaneously created and passed on by the people. They have all been, without exception, directly crafted or "recreated" by the party's "art workers" after plagiarising the essence of the national music and stuffing it with party culture contents.

A recent issue of Time magazine, "The Most Influential People in The World - The Time 100," named Lisa Randall, a professor of physics at Harvard University, one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She was named because of her theory that there exist unlimited dimensions of space in our universe. She is considered the vanguard of the study of extra dimensions of space in physics.

Two years ago, I met a policeman from the Public Security Bureau. He was an instructor in a prison and was also in charge of dealing with Falun Gong issues. After I "clarified the truth" to him, he said, "I know that Falun Gong has spread to seventy or eighty countries. More and more people come to learn Falun Gong, and the practice is indestructible. It is only a matter of time before the persecution ends."

She told me special agents existed everywhere in China - in the military, in business and many other areas. She said there could be special agents among my friends or colleagues. They lurk in all social corners. It could even be a person who collected garbage, repairs bicycles or sells newspapers. Special agents in the post office examine the parcels with special machines, and any mail related to Falun Gong is intercepted.

Problematic products from China have filled newspaper headlines around the world lately -- everything from cardboard-filled buns, chemically-produced eggs, fake tea leaves, poisonous fruits, toothpastes, and toys, to pork from disease-ridden pigs, poisonous barley, and feces-marinated tofu. The U.S. has banned some seafood from China. The world is changing its trade policies with China to stop its dangerous products from sneaking into their countries.

A policeman seized her and handed her over to the associate head. He asked her where she was from, and where the materials came from. She replied, "You know the answer." He replied, "I don't think you are a bad person so feel free to leave." The associate police department head was actually the person in charge of the 610 Office, whose duty it was to persecute Falun Gong. However, he treated practitioners with kindness once he learned the facts.

It is the invention of CCP's prisons, its forced labour camps, and its detention centres to use other prisoners and collaborators to persecute Falun Gong practitioners through strict monitoring and so-called "help and education" (brainwashing). After several years of practice and development of the torture tactics based on the CCP's extensive experience of persecution and purges in its numerous political movements, the authorities at Beijing Women's Prison perfected the system of monitoring and brainwashing to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, and found ways to intensify these tactics.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, this police officer continued to acknowledge that Falun Gong has miraculous effects curing illness and improving health, as well as in raising people's moral levels. However, he could not understand why Dafa practitioners appealed to call for help. Under the pressure that came down from each level in the Public Security Bureau and his fears of the evil Party's cruelty toward its own members, he began to participate in kidnapping Dafa practitioners, penalizing, detaining, and imprisoning them, and even raiding their homes.

After leaving them, I thought about how people living in a free society don't mix the concept of nation with that of a government and political parties. Although we were talking about the Chinese Communist regime's crimes, that girl felt offended because of her Chinese heritage.

When the world is enjoying the cheaply made-in-China products and Chinese people are proud of themselves in a nationalistic sense, how many of us ever give a thought to the question of why Chinese labour is so incredibly cheap? And, why do we not connect the cheap products with the detainees in China's forced labour camps?

Following are some of the investigation leads recently collected. We hope that people with inside information will continue to help us expose how forced labour camps, prisons and hospitals have collaborated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, so as to help to stop the persecution.

I knew it was very dishonest and vicious of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin's regime to slander and persecute Falun Gong. It is a shame that the Chinese people must live under the CCP's tyranny. But at the same time, I believe that the CCP is approaching its demise. In contrast, the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance that Falun Gong practitioners embrace is a lasting truth.

In recent years, China has gradually become a manufacturer for the world market. Products made in China are filling international markets. How can China produce these products so "cheaply"? Many people have not thought about this issue, thinking that the labour is simply cheaper in China. Actually, there is more to it--many products are made with the forced labour of inmates detained in prisons and labour camps, including many illegally detained Falun Dafa practitioners.

According to a report on July 18th, 2007 by the Sound of Hope radio station, human rights defender Mr. Fan Ziliang observed, "More and more people are admiring Falun Gong. More people are agreeing with Falun Gong as well. There are few who still have misunderstandings, and they are becoming even fewer. Among the world's people, both public and anonymous supporters are growing."

As the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama was intrigued that scientists had found evidence that some parts of the brain might renew themselves throughout life. The discovery seemed to fit well with the Buddhist view that meditation can reshape and expand the mind to foster happiness and cultivate compassion.

Currently, there has been a great deal of demolition and construction of buildings in Qinhuangdao City because some of the Olympic events will be held there next year. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) says it is presenting the beauty of Qinhuangdao to the world. What exactly is the beauty of Qinhuangdao, as referred to by the CCP?

The eight years bear witness to Falun Gong practitioners' kindness and forbearance. Falun Gong suffers bloody persecution, yet practitioners always react peacefully, without violence. Evildoers are exposed on the internet so they can ultimately be brought to justice. Top party officials, those most directly responsible for planning the persecution, are subject to lawsuits around the world wherever they visit. They, too, will be brought to justice for their crimes against humanity.

With more and more Chinese tourists arriving, Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland realized that Lucerne is a good place to explain the facts, spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and urge people to withdraw from the evil regime. Practitioners living in Switzerland would take turns spending five days in Lucerne to distribute Falun Gong materials and tell people the facts about Falun Gong.

Li has gone through all kinds of tribulations. In and out of the forced labor camp, he lived a harsh life completely different from his earlier life. But he came to terms with all this. What kind of mental power does he have that allows him to see things this way? Li has no complaints, no sorrow. Having been persecuted for his belief, he told us that he had no regrets about his choice. We initially felt sorry for him, but eventually could not help telling him, "We really admire your attitude and courage."

Recalling the 80-year history of the CCP, and looking at the crisis they are facing by persecuting Falun Gong, many people do not understand-including the Party Members themselves-why such a seemingly powerful regime can't defeat the peaceful Falun Gong. Why is it that their evil methods brewed through its bloody history are unable to eliminate Falun Gong?

Many people think that power and wealth are of foremost importance, and that China, with its strong military, police force, prison system, and increasing material wealth, is among the most powerful things in the world. However, if you take a look at what Falun Gong has achieved over the past fifteen years, especially the past eight years, resisting the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP)'s evil persecution, its practitioners have shown that in fact, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" are the most powerful forces.

Some inmates hate the CCP's cruel suppression and brutality; however, because they are so afraid of the evil regime they can only vent their anger on the toys they are making. When making these toys, they intentionally put pus, spittle, and nose secretions, which are loaded with viruses and pathogens, inside the toys.

One day, during one of those attacks, a rebel struck my father down on the platform. My father could not get up. Party official Tian shouted, "Just kick him off from the stage and beat him to death--it'll save us some trouble!" One night several people carried my father home. They dumped him on the ground with a violent shove. I realized he was unconscious. Three of his teeth had been knocked out. My grandfather eventually fell ill from torture and passed away.

Falun Gong teaches people to be kind and compassionate. It is beneficial to every society and to people in every society. But out of jealousy and its thirst for power, the former head of the CCP, Jiang Zemin and his regime have abused their power and started the persecution of Falun Gong. The persecution is groundless. History tells us that good always triumphs over evil, so from past examples we can have a good guess at what the end result will be.

According to You Yunqing, the CCP consulate controls over 60 student associations and directly assigns them political tasks to "fight against Falun Gong." They instigate students who oppose Falun Gong to be CSSA presidents, sending CCP agents to take root in US universities; they also put money into the private accounts of these student leaders, telling them to use the money to hire students to participate in welcoming activities when Chinese leaders come to visit the US.

People all have a benevolent side and a evil side. The atheism propagated by the Chinese Communist Party over the last several decades and their so-called policies or orders that are above the law all serve to destroy benevolence in human nature and stimulate and encourage evilness. The beast-like behavior of He Xuejian was a typical manifestation of such evil.

I replied, "This is one of the obvious benefits you can see; there are many more benefits that you cannot see. But I am not going to list them today. I need to talk to you about quitting something, though." He asked, "By 'quit,' you mean to quit the Party and any of its organizations, right?" he asked. "Yes," I replied. He continued, "You are too late: an old classmate of mine has told me about this, and I have already quit."

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) now admits that problems come from dereliction of duty by local government offices and the collusion of local powers such as the local police units, creating a protective umbrella for the corrupt officials. Of course, "a few people breaking the law" are always blamed for the crimes while the Party is still referred to as "great, glorious, and correct." This is one of the tactics the CCP has been using for decades.

The biggest value of historical tragedies lies in their potential to help avoid repetition. The forthcoming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games raises the important question to the international community: to repeat the tragedy or to choose a better future?

n order to persecute practitioners, the police force people to answer their questions. Otherwise, the people are beaten. The wife of a practitioner went to her local police station and requested that the police release her innocent husband. The policemen in the station not only rejected her request, but also beat her. We raised several questions for the lawyer, hoping he could help and use this information to start a lawsuit against the policemen and related government officials.

We are common Chinese citizens. Among our acquaintances and family members are many Falun Gong practitioners. We know them well, including their daily conduct and we know about the brutal persecution to which they are subjected. We are the best observers and witnesses of Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion -Forbearance, to become good people. They are not at all what the government and media have described them to be.

This report spreads shocking slander by saying that the killer is a Falun Gong practitioner, yet it failed to point out that when the killer was examined by the Psychological Institute under the Bureau of Justice for psychiatric health, they found that he is schizophrenic and chronically paranoid. According to an accepted rule in psychiatric health, this kind of tragedy should not be correlated with a person's spiritual or religious beliefs.

Falun Gong, following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, teaches people to be good, and improves social moral levels. This has been widely recognised by the majority of the kind-hearted people around the world. However, the CCP deceives people with lies and opposes truth. It destroys people by cutting off their path to return.
