Before he practiced Falun Gong, a man smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and drank alcohol at each meal. Within only 10 days after he started practicing Falun Gong, the smell of tobacco became unendurable, so he quit smoking and does not want to smoke anymore.

I am a housewife. My husband is the person in charge of the local "610 Office." We have a 16-year-old daughter in the 9th grade. Prior to July 20 1999, we often saw the people who were learning Falun Gong practising in parks. We met daily with people who practised Falun Gong. They were of high moral character and were very kind to others.

Since graduating from my university, I have kept in good contact with my former classmates. I have organized several events for students and alumni. I play a central role in keeping our classmates connected. This role has given me good opportunities to clarify the truth to my former classmates.

All family members of a Falun Dafa practitioner in Weifang City, Shandong Province know that Falun Dafa is good and supported her practice. In the last few years, her family members experienced a few very dangerous situations and walked away unharmed. Their stories became the legend of the neighborhood.

Not long ago, my 75-year-old mother-in-law became very ill, and we rushed to see her that same day. She was very ill and could not eat, and she was frighteningly skinny. My father-in-law asked us to prepare for her death. I read the teachings of Falun gong to her and she made a miraculous recovery. Within just ten days, all of the problems with her heart, lungs, the left side of her body trembling, and her not being able to think disappeared.

"To persecute Truth, Compassion, Tolerance, something that has helped millions achieve better health and to become better people with a high moral standard – has to be the most serious crime one could possibly commit. That is why it is our duty to expose this inhumane persecution so that it will come to an end."

When the journalist spoke with the Chinese embassy in Israel, the embassy’s spokesperson threatened him saying: "Do not publish this story, otherwise you will have serious problems." This righteous journalist, whose job and honour it is to protect freedom of speech, not only published the article but also described in detail the threat received from the Chinese embassy.

The age of 89 may seem a bit late in the day to start a new commitment for the remainder of life. 2 1/2 years ago I received out of the blue a letter from an old friend telling me of Falun Gong, of which I had not previously heard. We met and talked and he gave me “Zhuan Falun”.

"If a log is blocking a path, others would walk around it, but he [a practitioner] will move the log aside so it won't obstruct others. Ordinary people would call him "foolish," but doesn't today's selfish world need such a compassionate "fool"? Isn't he a symbol of a good person?"

Should I leave the "610 Office," a place full of evildoers, or should I stay, and follow my conscience and sense of justice in my actions rather than the direct orders I receive from higher levels? To whom should my duty lie?

A female Dafa practitioner in our area returned from Beijing where she had appealed for Falun Gong. My boss used a variety of methods to torture her, but failed to change her firm belief in Falun Dafa. This incident changed my views of Dafa practitioners. I began to admire them.

A personal story of complete recovery from multiple illnesses.

Moved by my actions, they wondered why I helped them do such difficult work while asking for nothing in return. I would then say to them, "It's our teacher, Li Hongzhi, who taught us to do so..."

I just cannot figure out why Jiang, the Chinese President, wants to mobilize the whole society to persecute Falun Gong-- possibly because Falun Gong practitioners are so upright while the ruling Party is too far away from good people's standards.

When Jiang selected Falun Gong as the avenue for strengthening his own political power, I believe he chose very poorly. He knows better than anyone else that Falun Gong does not want his power and what kind of people they are. Maybe Jiang is thinking to himself right now, no matter what, I should not have gone after Falun Gong. He never imagined that Falun Gong practitioners had so much determination and courage.

He told practitioners, “What can we do being abroad? We should reveal the truth to more people, so that they can be saved from the deceitful propaganda.”

I am only beginning my cultivation. I do not know my cultivation path yet but the Fa is precious and we should all cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance as time is also precious.

Gradually, I realized that all the upright programmes that reflected everyday life were cancelled, and those programmes that reported true events were being ordered to be terminated. I became increasingly disheartened.

[The head of a police substation] received a copy of Falun Gong and only was able to read it halfway before his friend grabbed it from him because he also longed to read this book!

I started to ponder...why did they have such unshakeable faith in Falun Gong?
