In many places in China, persecutors forced many Falun Dafa practitioners to attend the brainwashing classes where they illegally detained practitioners and tortured them mentally. The brainwashing sessions use a notorious "textbook" which is filled with words that slander Falun Dafa and instigate hatred towards practitioners. This so called "textbook" also exposes a lot of evidence of the crimes that Jiang and his group have committed.

People from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province shared their excitement with each other after watching the documentary, "Between Heaven and Earth," which was spliced into the Beijing Satellite TV System. They were surprised and delighted. They told their friends: "The TV is showing positive images about Falun Gong!" "The Communist Party's deception is so despicable" "Falun Gong is really remarkable."

One said, "The authorities have been arresting Falun Gong practitioners for the past few years. I believe Falun Gong practitioners are good people. My mother-in-law practises Falun Gong. She used to suffer from a lot of illnesses. Now she is in great shape! I even feel better myself when I visit her. I don't believe Falun Gong practitioners commit wrongdoings."

A friend of mine in Yueyang, Hunan Province said, when some local policemen now search Falun Gong practitioners' houses, they no longer look for money, personal belongings and Falun Gong materials like before, instead they only take away evidence of the persecution, such as detention warrants, fine tickets and so on. It is laughable that while they are acting illegally, they are at the same time trying to evade their responsibility for these same illegal actions.

In February of 1998, I began practising Falun Dafa. Shortly after I started practising, all of my symptoms disappeared and I no longer needed medication. I have been in good health ever since. In fact, I'm healthier than ever. All of my friends and relatives are very happy for me.

At the same time, to gain support it fulfilled people's desire for material interest. This is in fact just a matter of "sharing a cup of soup," which the Communist Party gained through corruption and seeking private gains, with a small number of Chinese people. Finally, it has been trying its best to maintain its power by instigating the spirit of "nationalism." During its persecution of Falun Dafa, this deceit has poisoned many people's minds and resulted in the deaths of many Falun Dafa practitioners.

In fact, when the government decided to crack down on you, I thought you must have some anti-government propaganda or activities. Now that I think about it, if the government has to resort to peaceful means such as sit-in for anti-Party evidence, in addition to fabricating other evidence. They really have nothing else to show.

I wanted to give the viewers a chance to relate to it and not to think of it as something happening in another country, but rather something happening right here. I remember one time a woman came up to me and she said, “Why don’t you take your problems back to where you came from?” I am Caucasian. She has such a strong impression that this was somebody else’s problem that she didn't even register my ethnic origin. People just want to dismiss it: it is on the other side of the earth and it does not affect them. But it does affect them.

One vendor said: "I know them very well. I run into them quite often in this market. They're the nicest people here. I think the restoration of Falun Gong's reputation is only a matter of time. If the government continues the persecution, then the leaders are doomed. A country that cannot distinguish good from bad is doomed. I'll practise Falun Gong too after the restoration of Falun Gong's reputation."

In 2002, a policeman in Nanyang City was involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners'' family members. He was later diagnosed with cancer, which led him to the brink of death. At that point he awakened, repented of his past behaviour and began practising Falun Gong. His cancer has now started to heal and his health has returned back to normal.

The Beijing Jail Administrative Bureau and the "Re-education Through Labour" Bureau made their report appear as if it was a "struggle." Initially, the prison and forced labour camp guards were annoyed with Falun Gong practitioners because they do not hit back when beaten and don't talk back when scolded or insulted. This made them helpless since there was nothing they could do. Later, even with physical violence, they failed to make the practitioners succumb to their demands

This practitioner had left home to avoid being subjected to further persecution and was staying at his relative's home. The police station chief and political leader knew the practitioner's relative's home address, but they discussed this among themselves and decided not to arrest the practitioner. This police chief once told his subordinate, "Some time in the future Falun Gong's reputation will be restored. We have to leave a door open for ourselves!"

Once someone has taken a step towards opposing the wicked persecution they have helped, and you are able to feel this deep down in your heart. The actions you take truly have a positive impact. So please, even if you are confronted by pictures of torture that are difficult to bear or you feel like crying upon being confronted with death statements... don’t feel powerless, but just go on! Each one of your actions, smiles, signatures, photos you will show to your friends, each Chinese person you inform, each letter sent to the government,... is worth so much!

He walked day and night, over hills and mountains. When his shoes were worn out, he would sew them up. His feet were in terrible shape. The toenails on his big toes fell off, and he lost half of each of his little toes. His legs also swelled up. It was very painful and difficult for him to walk. When people were celebrating the Spring Festival, he dragged his heavy legs and moved forward step by step, just to get to Beijing to tell people that Falun Dafa is good and that the persecution is wrong.

Today, in a morally degenerating world, the emergence of Falun Dafa is undoubtedly like a beacon for the lost and a rational guide for the confused. Yet, brutal forces led by the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his regime have being conducting an inhuman persecution against compassionate Falun Dafa practitioners by condemning them and turning their appeals into arrests. It is ridiculous and astonishing that conducting oneself according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" is a crime.

"...The founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi, has helped me to understand the genuine purpose of human life, and showed me how to be a good person by always considering the welfare of others first, thus curing me completely of my bad habits. This time I was arrested because I have been recounting my experiences to our country's leaders, that Falun Gong is good for our society and the country. When I was a thief, you had just cause in arresting me, but now I can't understand why I am being jailed for having become a good person."

This is a textbook provided to students nationwide, from third graders to middle school students. Statistics show that there are currently about 367 million youths in China. So many children are being compelled to go against "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." What kind of people are they going to grow into?

Under the direction of the Chinese consulate, he interfered with Falun Gong's human rights activities to clarify the truth about the persecution in China. He incited and was involved in attacking practitioners. When he was handed a court summons, he knocked it to the ground and attempted to bring false charges against Falun Gong practitioners. After hearing the basis for the accusations from practitioners, the police picked up the summons and personally put it into Liang Guanjun's hands. The policeman said, "This is for you. You'd better take it. "Liang Guanjun had to accept it.

Many Falun Gong practitioners appealed about the brutal persecution against them. However, Jiang's group passed down a secret order telling the judicial department not to accept lawsuits and appeals from Falun Gong practitioners. As the judicial officials put it, "We know it's wrong to reject their appeals, but we must follow Jiang's order and do this as a political assignment, because he will hold us responsible if we take Falun Gong practitioners' cases."

Hu Ping, the scholar who wrote the commentary about the practitioners' lawsuit against Jiang and his followers said, "The persistence evidenced in their actions and the spirit of the practitioners are of great significance. It shows that the struggle against the persecution is a fight for justice and serves as a warning to the oppressors that perpetrators cannot hide forever; justice will find them. In the court of world opinion, the trial has already been won."

my friend He Mingli, a Falun Gong practitioner, has being given a thirteen year jail sentence by the Jiulongpo District Court in Chongqing City. Prior to this, he was detained for one year. Why? He exposed a horrendous crime: In public the police from Shapingba Bahelin Detention Centre raped Ms.Wei Xingyan, a postgraduate from Chongqing University. I have to ask, "Why was the culprit not put on trial and, instead, the person who spoke the truth sentenced to thirteen years in jail? Where is the justice? Where is the conscience of the Chongqing people?

Last year he suffered from bone necrosis, which was very painful. He searched all over the place for a cure but to no avail. Upon seeing that his condition was hopeless, his relatives told him that Falun Gong is very effective in healing illnesses. They urged him to give Falun Gong a try. With no other choice he started practising Falun Dafa. In a few months his body felt much better, and he was close to being completely cured. He said from the bottom of his heart, "I will practise Falun Dafa forever. Falun Dafa is wonderful!"

At 8 p.m. on the 20th of November, 2004, the Beijing satellite TV system was tapped into and broadcasted a documentary video about Falun Dafa entitled "Between Heaven and Earth". Viewers in different areas reported seeing varying lengths of the video, from ten minutes to thirty minutes. Many people finally understood that the staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square was masterminded by the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his faction to frame Falun Dafa and its founder so as to deceive the Chinese people.

After school Panpan told his mother about the examination. Later they went to talk about Falun Gong to his homeroom teacher. After learning the truth about Falun Gong and the real factors behind the unlawful persecution, Panpan's homeroom teacher told the Ethics and Morality teacher, "Don't put the students in a difficult position. The examinations don't need to be redone. Falun Gong is truly good."

The words written on the first chalkboard I came across were by Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a well-known Chinese educator: "In everything you teach, you teach people to be truthful; among everything you learn, you learn how to be a good person." Ms. Wang, who had just being removed from her teaching position, was sitting in the library on the third floor. It was June, the time for potential teachers to take their qualifying exams. Each new teacher is faced with a difficult choice -- follow the basic requirements for being a good teacher, or succumb to the pressure of slandering good people?

A practitioner in another province explained the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution to her. The women then came to believe that the persecution against Falun Dafa would soon end. She thought this way because of the pressure by many countries worldwide and the resentment of many people in the government against the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. She told me earnestly: "The ban on Falun Gong is wrong. You will hear about this in the news later, wait and see."

Another gentleman saw a factual VCD about Falun Gong before, but he had feared discussing it with others and said, "Don't ever tell others I saw the VCD." This time, he changed completely; he told everyone he met: "The TV network broadcast a program about Falun Gong! Falun Gong is remarkable!"

The attitude of the Party regarding the June 4th 1989 massacre of students at Tiananmen Square severely violated the Chinese Constitution and International Covenants. When rock solid evidence is placed before them, their devious nature is exposed. Fifteen years ago, when Jiang Zemin was interviewed by a foreign journalist about a female college student that survived the June 4th incident, only to be raped in a forced labour camp, Jiang's comment was, "Serves her right!"

When I returned to the United States a Falun Dafa practitioner noted, "You have changed!" I asked, "How have I changed?" She said, "You have many fewer wrinkles and the dark specks on your skin have disappeared." In just a few months the change has been that great. The more commendable thing was that I had improved my ethics and character. I used to be very ill tempered. After several incidents I discovered that I no longer lost my temper so quickly

She remembered that a Falun Dafa practitioner had once asked her to help safeguard some Falun Dafa books. This friend followed the old woman to her home and to look at the books. When he flipped open the first page and pointed to the photograph of the founder of Falun Gong, he asked the old woman, "Is this the person you dreamt of?" She said repeatedly, "Yes! That's him!"

Judging from the behaviour of Falun Gong practitioners, I can tell they are good people. Some of them are even exemplary citizens. They gauge their behaviour with compassion. I have been a policeman for many years, and I have seen the bright side, as well as the ugly side of this profession. As a guardian of society, I can help promote the kind and punish the evil. However, I know that some police abuse their power and do dirty things that harm the interests of society.

Jiang's faction has blocked all legal channels that Falun Gong practitioners could use to appeal for themselves, so why don't people think about the reason behind the blockade? It's because Jiang's faction is afraid of the truth being told! That is the reason why it is both important and urgent to restore the people's right to know, establish the righteous position in people's minds for "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and to put an end to the slander and spread of hatred.

On the 8th of November, 241 family members of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China have filed lawsuits with the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Prosecuting Bureau and the Judicial Department, The High Prosecutor for Hunan Province, the Hunan Province Judicial Department, and prosecutors and judicial departments at the city level.

One day I when went to my mother's place after school, I saw that her place had been turned upside down. My sister told me that many people came and took away our family's belongings and all of the Falun Dafa books. They also took my mother away. I ran outside and my tears could not stop flowing when I thought about my mother. I remembered the three words my mother had told me: "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance."

As I stood on a pavement and handed out some materials containing the true facts about Falun Gong, a taxi driver waved at me to come over to him. I went over to him, and he said to me, “Could you please give me all the materials that you have in your hands? I’d like to put them in a pocket behind the front seats. I want all my passengers to learn about Falun Gong.” He said that he had been watching us for several days and thought we were a special group of people, commenting that we were very peaceful and very compassionate. He said, “I want to help you.”

In China, a great number of children have encountered discrimination and threats because their parents practise Falun Gong. Many have lost their parents and other relatives, as well as the opportunity to continue their studies. Some of them have been illegally imprisoned and beaten, some have been forced to become homeless, and some have even been tortured to death.

The Shenyang City Department of Justice issued a "Most Wanted" poster, describing Ms. Gao as "relatively thin, weighing only eighty-eight pounds, with obvious scars on the left side of her face, and cannot walk by herself." This poster proves that Ms. Gao only "weighs eighty-eight pounds," and "cannot walk" due to the torture she was subjected to.

According to human rights organisations, it is confirmed through investigation that the Chinese Social Science Academy and its branches have established organisations and institutions specialised in studying the ideology to be used in the anti-Falun Gong movement. Those organisations have used their power under the guise of academic research to slander Falun Gong, instigate hatred towards it, and implement tactics to persecute it. They are also suspected of having influenced other authorities to use mental hospitals to torture Falun Gong practitioners with nerve-damaging drugs.

Beginning in 1999, the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin led a campaign out of his own personal pettiness and jealousy to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Since then, the Chinese Consulate in Australia has openly intimidated practitioners, made telephone threats, harassed private residents, and destroyed personal property. They frequently reject practitioners' passport renewal requests, sometimes even confiscate their passports, and blacklist practitioners.

It is a very severe blow to the Jiang faction that an overseas mainstream media has taken up the forbidden subject of Falun Gong, exposed the truth of the persecution and even added a commentary article expressing the intent to continue investigating this issue. If the media persists like this, following the principles of truth and justice, it may greatly influence the whole world. It may become a torch for justice and human rights, collecting the strength of the world to bring Jiang to a historic trial.

Ghandi pointed out three possible responses to oppression and injustice. One he described as the coward's way: "To accept the wrong or run away from it. The second option was to stand and fight by force of arms." Gandhi said, "This was better than acceptance or running away." But the third way, he said, "was best of all and required the most courage to stand and fight solely by non-violent means."

It was a customary practise to torture Falun Dafa practitioners with techniques such as sleep deprivation, long-term torture devices, military drilling, corporal punishment, compiling fake scriptures, spreading rumours and slandering words, personal attacks, and lies and deceptions. In addition, they adopted a very strict military-style management, forced overtime, and excessive slave labour work, forced brainwashing, mandatory viewing of anti-Falun Gong propaganda films, and demanded tons of writing.

But the defendant failed to appear in court on the 8th of November , so he was charged with contempt of court. His lawyer requested a special hearing on Saturday, 13th of November, so Su Rong would have an opportunity to defend himself, but he again failed to appear. The court then issued a bench warrant for contempt of court. Zambian customs was reportedly told not to let Su Rong leave the country until this matter is settled. The remainder of the official Chinese delegation left the country without him.

Jiang Zemin and his faction has wasted one fourth of the nation's money in order to persecute Falun Gong. Countless Falun Gong practitioners and their family members have had huge amounts of money extorted from them, and countless families have also being torn apart. Isn't this "derelictions that cause heavy losses to people's lives and properties--"

In the end, no matter what Falun Gong practitioners do, be it peacefully appealing, going to Tiananmen Square, distributing materials related to Falun Gong, setting up websites, or organising rallies, their only purpose is to expose the persecution and eventually put an end to the persecution and the lies, so people can know the truth and regain the basic right to practise. There is no intention to gain power or change the current political system.

These young people held different expressions from the other young Chinese people that I had met before, and they openly pointed out that the principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance" promoted by Falun Gong were good. I started to talk with them. When I mentioned the staged self-immolation event at Tiananmen Square, one of the young men interjected, "I have to say something about this event, because I was there at that time." The following is his eyewitness description.

I heard today that during November 16-17, while Hu Jintao was visiting Argentina as China's Chairman, Falun Gong practitioners went to peacefully appeal to Hu Jintao and the Chinese delegation and held up banners that said, "Falun Dafa is good", "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and called for "Bringing Jiang Zemin to Justice." At several different appeal sites and almost right in front of the Chinese delegation headed by Hu Jintao, Chinese Embassy officials used violence to wrestle away and destroy the Falun Gong practitioners' banners, even using knives to cut apart the banners.

According to Jiang Zemin and his regime's confidential orders he stated with regards to those who practise Falun Gong, "Beating them to death is counted as suicide, there is no need for their families to identify the bodies, and cremate them directly," a state of affairs even more startling then that enacted by Pinochet has existed in China for over five years. This ongoing persecution has resulted in over 1,100 confirmed deaths. According to internal statistics generated by Chinese officials, the death toll at the end of 2001 had actually reached 1600.
