Mr. Li Jifeng is from Shulan City, Jilin Province. After becoming a Falun Gong practitioner, he was strict with himself yet tolerant of others. Everyone speaks very highly of him. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Li has been arrested and detained several times. Because he refuses to give up the practice, he has been brutally tortured.

It has been one year and three months since 60-year-old Lanzhou Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Guifang was imprisoned in the Lanzhou City Law prison, actually a brainwashing centre at Gongjiawan. The brainwashing centre refused to release her because she would not renounce the practice and teachings of Falun Gong. Another practitioner, 65-year-old Mr Qian Shiguang, was detained several times and was sentenced to forced labour three times. He was tortured and his life was endangered several times. He was arrested in May 2005 again and was detained at the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Centre. He had been tortured for three years and on September 8th, 2008, he was persecuted to death .

Falun Gong practitioners and Hong Kong residents Ms. Li Yaohua and her daughter Ms. Zhang Zhibo are very likely to be prosecuted in a Shanghai court in the next few days. They have been held in the Xuhui Detention Centre for nearly four months on charges of "producing and distributing Falun Gong video CDs and booklets." Ms. Li's son, Mr. Zhang Zhiyuan, now a lecturer in the Dental Faculty of California University in Los Angeles, has called for public attention to his mother's case in an effort to stop the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from continuing with this unlawful prosecution.

The Women's Prison of Hebei Province is supposedly an organization meant to execute the law; however, it is actually a criminal organization. It has been brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The prison guards specifically make use of the violent criminals in the inmate population to torture Falun Gong practitioners. In May 2009, a female guard searched practitioner Ms. Yang Runying and found and confiscated a Falun Gong book. That night, officer Zhang Runying punched, kicked and slapped Ms. Yang. Then officer Zhang instigated a gang of inmates to brutally beat her once again.

Practitioners Mr. Liu Wei, about 50, Mr. Chen Zhengxian, about 65, and Ms. Guo Jianzhen, 52, were arrested by the State Security Office on September 25th, 2009. The officers ransacked Mr. Liu's home and took some of his personal belongings, including a computer. It is not clear where these practitioners are being held. An unconfirmed source said that the 610 Office had secretly established a brainwashing centre, so it is possible they are in Hanzhong City, Wuxiang Town.

Ms. Xiao Deying was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labour in 2008. She suffered brainwashing, slave labour and corporal punishment in the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. She was locked in a small cell and forced to sit on a small bench all day long. The police sent three inmates to brainwash her and three drug addicts to watch her. One of the inmates, Wu Lin from Changsha City, screamed and cursed at Ms. Xiao almost non-stop except when she was sleeping or eating. Under the brutal torture, Ms. Xiao was forced to give up her practice of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zheng Yuling was arrested on the night of August 6th, 2009 while she was putting up a banner at the Chibi City Police Department housing. She was sentenced to one year of forced labour and taken to the Hubei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp on August 25th. Ms. Zheng's husband rushed to the labour camp on September 29th. Her body had been dressed and her face made up, but he could still tell that her nose was deformed and there were many needle holes on her hand. The camp administrator told him that Ms. Zheng began a hunger strike on September 9th and died at noon on September 28th. He condemned the guards, saying, "She was on a hunger strike for 19 days before she died. Why didn't you tell me earlier?" The guards had no answer.

Ms. Gao Guizhen was the former chief of the National Tax Bureau Collection Section in Weifang City. She became destitute and homeless for seven years in order to avoid persecution from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). On August 1st, 2009, Ms. Gao was arrested by the police from Kuiwen Police Department in Weifang City and suffered from brutal tortures such as the death bed, tied to a "cross" and being injected with unknown drugs in the Weifang City Detention Centre. By August 31st, Ms. Gao's life was in great danger due to the brutal tortures.

Mr. Duan Tilin was sentenced to three years in prison because of his steadfast belief in Falun Gong and for adhering to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He is now suffering abuse in Jiamusi City Prison. On January 19th, 2009, an inmate was directed by the warden Jing Peng, to force Mr. Duan to perform hard labour and operate machines in the workshop. Mr. Duan tried to reason with Jing which caused Jing to explode with anger and start punching and kicking Mr. Duan's head and body. After beating him repeatedly with his hands and feet, Jing switched to a rubber baton, and used it to keep hitting Mr. Duan's arms and back. Jing continued until Mr. Duan passed out.

Ms. Zheng Yawen is imprisoned at the Helong City Detention Centre in Jilin Province. She was tortured by police officers after her arrest. Police tortured Ms. Zheng for six days straight. They subjected her to inhaling cigarette fumes in a smoke-filled room, hand-cuffed behind the back , tiger bench, and other tortures. As a result of the torture, Ms. Zheng suffers from severe abdominal cramps daily. She has difficulty eating and has no bowel movements. Police also deny her family's visitation requests.

Mr. Ge Lijun was a college student, but he was dismissed from school due to his practice of Falun Gong. He had to move around to avoid being arrested. In the past ten years of persecution, Mr. Ge was sent to the Changji City Forced Labour Camp three times for a total of six years, where he was tortured with electric baton shocks and forced to labour for up to 20 hours per day. In March 2009, Mr. Ge was finally released, but due to long time brutal mistreatment, his four limbs were so stiff that he could not stretch out his arms or open his hands. Mr. Ge died in June.

Mr. Bao Yongsheng, Mr. Zhang Peixun, and Mr. Li Congfu were recently handed heavy prison sentences for practising Falun Gong. On September 23rd, 2009, police transferred the three practitioners from the Xilin Detention Centre to Jiamusi Prison. During his arrest, police beat Mr. Bao with a thick, wooden stick and a metal pipe. After dragging Mr. Bao outside into the freezing cold, they poured 12 buckets of ice cold water on him, then forced him to stand still until he lost consciousness several times. Police repeatedly kicked Mr. Zhang in the head until blood was streaming down his face.

Ms. Ma Yan, who currently resides in Japan, previously spent five years in prison for practising Falun Gong. Now, her father Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ma Chaoyu, was arrested on September 10th, 2009. He is currently being held at the Fengtai District Detention Centre. Ms. Ma explained that during the eleven years that her father has been practising Falun Gong, he has always been very healthy, and that people who know him consider him a good person. Knowing firsthand how badly practitioners are tortured both physically and spiritually in state-run prisons, she is very worried for her father.

In November 2004, Mr. Zeng Zhaoqin was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials and sent to a detention centre. This was his fourth arrest. After being detained for 28 days, Mr. Zeng was sentenced to one year of forced labour in the Xinkaipu Forced Labour Camp, where he was beaten, forced to stand for long periods of time, and denied use of a toilet. Mr. Zeng was tortured until he developed a mental disorder and was unable to care for himself.

On October 1st, 2009, after being long term harassed, threatened, and cruelly persecuted, Ms. Yang Xiaojing died while her husband Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cao Dong remains in Gansu Province Prison. Ms. Yang Xiaojing and her husband were married for nine years, but were only together for several weeks. Ms. Yang was sent to forced labour twice for a total of four years; Mr. Cao was sentenced to prison twice: once for four years, another for five years.

On August 30th, 2009, the chief of the Zhanqian Police Station in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, and several policemen ransacked my home when my son was home alone. When an officer saw Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong's photo, he stopped in front of it and then called the police station. He said, "There is a Falun Gong practitioner here." They searched our home and found some informational materials and several Falun Gong books. They took him to the police station, forced him to sit on a a "Tiger Bench" and did not release him until late. One policeman asked him, "Will your mother come?" My son asked him in return, "If it was your mother, would you ask her to come?"

Ms. Gao Shunqin, 44, was held at the Yangyuan Brainwashing Centre for three months in 2004 and was injected with an unknown drug that was supposed to "break her energy," as an official working at the centre had claimed. Ms. Gao was locked into a dark room and forced to stand with arms stretched out, while being handcuffed to a fixed object. The poison injection and the handcuffing made her dizzy, her heartbeat became irregular, and she felt generally ill. She was not let down until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Since Ms. Gao Shunqin refused to be brainwashed the brainwashing centre head ordered her tortured again. She was hung with both hands cuffed to a window frame in the dinning hall - from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

Ms. Zhang Yulin was arrested for practising Falun Gong on January 15th, 2001, along with more than one hundred other Falun Gong practitioners. She was taken to a rehabilitation centre for brainwashing, and she was later sentenced to 18 months of forced labour for not giving up her practice of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp in April, 2001. Her husband was also pressured by the guards to convince her to give up her practice of Falun Gong. Out of stress and anger, Ms. Zhang's husband slapped her before going back home and getting himself drunk. When he got up the next morning, on May 11th, 2009, he was notified by his workplace that Ms. Zhang had died.

Mr. Yu Yong was arrested in 2005 for handing out informational materials on Falun Gong. On August 3rd, 2008, 610 Office agents detained Mr. Yu Yong in Changsha County Detention Centre, using the excuse of "Olympic safety." After that, Mr. Yu felt sick and depressed. He died during his sleep on the night of February 15th, 2009, at home. His face, ears, and feet were purple, causing his family to suspect that one of the unknown drugs he was injected with had killed him. But they dared not take any action to investigate.

On September 18th, 2009, a court in Linghe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, convened a hearing for Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Lige. From information provided by an eye-witness, Ms. Wang, who was tortured to the point of being in critical condition, was carried into the courtroom. She fainted as soon as she sat down. Chief judge Zhou Jun hastily read the court verdict: four years in prison. Ms Wang was unconscious throughout the entire proceedings. The court didn't notify Ms. Wang' attorney, which was a clear violation of legal procedures, depriving her of her lawful rights and interests.

Mr. Gu is handicapped and walks with canes. When he learned Falun Gong in 1997, he tried to live according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and his health has improved tremendously. He makes a living by repairing mobile phones. He was arrested in July 2008 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and was sentenced to a four-year term on January 12th, 2009. His father died from the stress he endured worrying about his son. Mr. Gu's mother has been left with the responsibility of two young grandsons, a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old, three acres of farmland and a debt of 20,000 yuan.

Ms. Hong Zhenyan was arrested five months ago when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. During the arrest the police brutally beat Ms. Hong with rubber clubs. She was injured all over. She is still being held in a detention centre. Her family has gone there many times asking for her but has been refused. Another practitioner, Ms. Cong was beaten so badly during the arrest that she was in critical condition.

On September 19th, 2009, the home of Mr. Ma Xuejun was invaded by a large number of police. Multiple police vehicles surrounded his home. Prior to the invasion, his wife, Ms. Chuang Jing, and 14 other practitioners were arrested by officers. Ms. Chuang Jing and nine other practitioners are being detained in the Jiamusi City Detention Centre, and Mr. Ma's residence is still being monitored. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Ma has been subjected to arrests, detention, and forced labour. He has also been dismissed from his job, cut off from sources of income, and sentenced to a 12-year prison term, as well as a series of brutal tortures. In December 2002, he was so severely tortured that he became disabled.

On May 10th, 2002, more than ten officers broke into my home and arrested me. At the detention centre five thugs held me to the ground and tied my hands and arms behind my back using a rope, and then pulled them upwards toward my neck. Kang Kai held the rope and pulled it up for about seven minutes before letting it go, and then pulled it up again for about ten minutes. The police said, "You are not so good. Ms. Zhu Chengxin (a practitioner) endured the pulling ten times. Generally the hands become numb and partially paralysed after being pulled three times." I was later sentenced to a five and a half year prison term. My mother died from sorrow and fright twenty days after I was arrested.

Mr. Du Zhenjun was released from jail on August 7th, 2009, and within a month, he was forced to leave his home. At the time, he had just completed the one-year labour camp sentence that had been forced on him in 2008. Police officers are now trying to track him down, and are monitoring the phones of his family members. This is the second time he has had to flee his home. He has been arrested, extorted and sentenced to a forced labour camp at the hands of the Chinese Communist regime, simply because he holds a firm belief in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

On January 23rd, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Jinxiang was arrested by police for talking to people and distributing materials about Falun Gong. On February 28th, Ms. Zhao was sent to the Qianjin Forced Labour Camp. Guards ordered Ms. Zhao to write the "three statements" to renounce Falun Gong. She refused to press her fingerprint on the three statements, which the police had prepared beforehand. They then tied a tablecloth around Ms. Zhao's neck until she could not breathe and tied her hands behind her back, and hung her upside down. Being hung up for so long, Ms. Zhao suffered great pain. She eventually fainted. Then they put her fingerprint on the three statements document.

Falun Gong practitioners Liu Yang, Wang Sheng, Zhao Bingheng and Wang Yuhai are incarcerated at the Jidong Prison. Liu Yang was arrested in 2002 while making and distributing Falun Gong materials with other practitioners and was sent to Jidong Prison for a 8-year term. Mr. Wang Sheng, 62, was given a three-year sentence in May 2009. Mr. Wang Yuhai was given three years in prison in November 2008. The brutal torture has turned his hair white, and his vision and hearing have deteriorated. He was forced to do hard labour even though he is almost sixty years old.

For eight long years, in the dark prison of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Xuegui suffered tremendously. He was tortured with beatings, being locked in solitary confinement and tied up on the "death bed" for long periods of time. He was tortured so severely that he had scabies all over his body and became so emaciated and he couldn't walk by himself. However, he never gave in. Now, his prison term has expired, and he should have been released. However, the prison administration took him away secretly, planning to continue the abuse at a brainwashing centre .

After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Wang Delian told people about the benefits of Falun Gong, and he exposed the facts about the persecution. Police frequently harassed and threatened him. In 2001, police stepped on his head, beat, spit-on, shocked him with a electric baton. Mr. Wang endured 386 days of inhumane torture while in detention, and was sentenced to three years in prison. In August 2008, police arrested Mr. Wang Deliang and detained him for more than two months. The guards were very vicious. Often the food provided was found to contain mouse faeces, and he often starved. Mr. Wang became sick with stomach cancer, and died.

Gao Guofeng, in her fifties, was beaten so much that there were bruises all over her face. Then she was put into solitary confinement. She was brutally tortured and hung up for 13 days. She was emaciated and went on a hunger strike to protest her treatment. She was then force-fed by Huo Shuping and other guards. When a labour camp doctor was force feeding her, she vomited blood and passed out. She almost died. Originally, her term was scheduled to end on September 10th, 2009, but was extended for seven months.

After Ms. Jiang Ruihong attended Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong's second lecture series in Dalian City in July 1994, the more than a dozen diseases that she had disappeared, among them high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney infection, and arthritis. She did not take any medication for the 15 years after she started cultivation. She changed from a sick woman to an optimistic, healthy person; however, during the persecution, she was arrested three times. She died as a result of the persecution on September 16th, 2009.

On September 8th, 2009, Ms. Zhang Xinyi, a Falun Gong practitioner and a retired teacher from Changsha City, and her friend, He Minna, went to the Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to try to persuade the school administrators and others to release a school employee, Tang Min, a Falun Gong practitioner. Tang Min is being detained at the No. 2 People's Hospital in Hunan Province. Ms. Zhang Xinyi and He Minna were seized by the school security section and reported to Hanpu Police Station. In the afternoon, the two practitioners were taken to the Changsha City Rule of Law Education Training Centre (a brainwashing centre) in Changsha City. This is the fourth time Ms. Zhang has been arrested.

Retired teacher Ms. Li Yuqin, a practitioner from Zhuhai City, was not concerned that she was being monitored by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel when she decided to visit her home town at the end of August. Later her family members including her daughter were harassed many times. On September 15th, the principal and director of her school broke into Li Yuqin's home, as they had several times before at the behest of CCP personnel from the Zhuhai 610 Office and Zhuhai Education Bureau. As nobody was home, they called Ms. Li's daughter and ordered her to tell her mother to call the principal. They also demanded to know the address of Ms. Li's home town, which the daughter revealed. At present, her daughter is under CCP monitoring and her telephones are tapped. Li Yuqin's safety is a serious concern.

On September 10th, 2009, the Linghai City Court of Liaoning Province tried practitioner Jin Bowen. Mr. Jin's family had hired two lawyers to defend him. In attendance were Mr. Jin's family, his work unit superiors, his co-workers, his lawyers, the judge, and other legal professionals. It was said that the legal professionals were there to hear how the lawyers defended a Falun Gong practitioner. In court, the Linghai City procuratorate claimed that Mr. Jin "utilized a cult organization to sabotage law enforcement." The two defence lawyers spoke firmly in favour of Mr. Jin's innocence. Many times the presiding judge and assistants did not have a reply and simply pounded on the table in great anger.

On September 19th, 2009, 15 practitioners in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province were studying Falun Gong and sharing experiences at a practitioner's home in Jianan District. As soon as they sat down, someone knocked on the door and yelled: "It is flooded upstairs. I need to check in here." Since the owner did not suspect anything, he opened the door, and six or seven police officers rushed in. The officers searched everyone and their belongings. They seized Falun Gong articles as well as other materials. The police ransacked the house, and seized a computer and some other property. They then dragged all of the practitioners into a police vehicle and took them to the police station for interrogation.

On August 28th, 2009, police broke into and ransacked Mr. Tian Hongguang's home. They took Mr. Tian's computer and took Mr. Tian to a detention centre. Mr. Tian was brutally beaten by a criminal facing the death penalty who stayed in same cell with Mr. Tian. The criminal kicked Mr. Tian hard in the head which caused Mr. Tian's head to swell, and bruised him around his eyes. Mr. Tian felt dizzy and nauseous. His pulse reached 130 and he was unable to eat. Each day he only drank a little liquid food to keep himself going. His family members went to the detention centre several times to visit him but they were refused by the guards. All that was known of Mr. Tian was that he had been sentenced to a year and six months of forced labour.

Falun Gong practitioner Wang Yanyan was arrested again and sent to the Siping City Brainwashing Centre by police on September 16th. One month before her latest arrest, Wang Yanyan and her mother had been arrested for having talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and having distributed DVDs about Falun Gong. The two women were detained at the county detention centre for 15 days and sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City soon after. Wang Yanyan's mother was punished with one year of imprisonment.

Ms. Hu Meizhi, a schoolteacher at the Paizhouwan Central School in Jiayu County, Hubei Province, was arrested on September 9th, 2009. The school leaders led the local police to arrest her. Chen Zhe (school principal of the Paizhouwan Central School as well as the Lantian Secondary School) and Yin Zuozhong (vice principal) read the newsletter "Words from the Heart in Jiayu County" and discovered that their bad deeds were exposed there. In order to take revenge on Falun Gong practitioners, Chen Zhe and Yin Zuozhong requested personnel from the County 610 office to arrest teacher Ms. Hu Meizhi and send her to a brainwashing centre.

In April 2006, officials from the Chibi City Police Department, Hubei Province arrested Ms. Liu Xiaolian, 69, and sent her to the Psychiatric Department of the Pufang Hospital. At the hospital, Ms. Liu was brutally beaten, injected with toxic drugs, fed with mentally debilitating drugs, and shocked with high-voltage electric batons. For 24 hours, they continuously injected her with the mental drug. She lost consciousness for two consecutive days and her whole body became dark and swollen. After she woke up, she temporarily lost the ability to speak. She died on the afternoon of October 26th, 2008.

Ms. Li Fengmei, 60, benefited from the Falun Gong practice both mentally and physically. In 2005, she was arrested while she was talking to people about Falun Gong and sentenced to 18 months of forced labour. In 2007, police arrested her again and detained her in the Tanggu District Detention Centre. Ms. Li Fengmei passed away on August 30th, 2009.

Ms. Huang Liling, 34, began to practise Falun Gong in 1996 while she was a student at the Guangdong Province Environmental Protection School. After graduation, she became a staff member of the school's Academic Affairs Office. She and her family have been persecuted for the past several years. Ms. Huang was once detained at the Tianhe District Brainwashing Centre. She was also forced to leave home and become homeless. Ms. Huang's husband, Mr. Tan Weichang, was secretly sentenced to a three-year term and is being held in Sihui Prison. Ms. Huang's mother, aunt, sister, and cousin have all endured persecution.

On September 12th, 2009, Ms. Zhao Juanjuan, 70, was arrested by 610 Office police in Doumen County as she was handing out materials that explained the facts about Falun Gong at Niwan Market in Jingan Town, Juhai City. She was detained in the Second Hotel in Jingan Town. This is her tenth arrest. She has been monitored, arrested, detained, and sentenced to a labour camp over ten times.

Practitioners in Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp have been forced to do extremely hard labour that is beyond the their physical endurance. They have to load and unload products from the first floor to the second and third floors. They also have to make mobile phone covers and shower curtains. It is said that the shower curtains are to be exported overseas. Some practitioners sort chopsticks and pick out cotton seeds (the seeds are for the Academy of Hebei Province Agricultural Science and the Academy of Shijiazhuang City Agricultural Science), paste labels onto the bottles of chemical fertilizers and instant noodles and make lanterns.

On September 8th, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Zhang Ying at her in-law's home. When her in-law asked the police why they were arresting her and ransacking their home, and if they had any legal justification, one of the police officers answered, "We are arresting her for interrogation and investigation. The proof will be found eventually." This was her fourth arrest. Ms. Zhang's husband, was sentenced to ten years in prison and had almost lost his eyesight after eight years of imprisonment at the Shanghai Lanqiao Prison.

Falun Gong practitioners Li Xiufen and Gao Guizhen were arrested in August 2009 and then detained at the Weifang Detention Centre. They were brutally tortured with torture methods called the "cross" and the "death bed" at the detention centre. These torture methods are described as a living hell. Normally, if a person were subjected to such torture for even one day, that person would become paralysed. Nonetheless, Ms. Li Xiufen and Ms. Gao Guizhen were tied to these torture tools for 36 hours.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yuqui, 56, was detained at a police station in Beijing in 2001, where the agents tortured him severely. He recounts: "I refused to tell them where I was from. The police took off my shoes and seven police officers tortured me. They handcuffed me backwards, hung me in the air by the handcuffs, and used several electric batons to simultaneously shock me on my back and on the soles of my feet. Then they lowered me to the floor, shackled me and shocked my back and the soles of my feet again. I screamed from the pain and my feet twitched and scraped between the shackles and the concrete floor, peeling off skin on my toes and exposing my bones."

Mr. Liu Erzeng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hebei Province, was arrested, detained, and tortured on multiple occasions. When Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp officials refused to admit Mr. Liu, Xiao Suilong, an officer from the Pingshan County Police Station forced the camp to take him. Mr. Liu was released from the labour camp after he became extremely weak, and he died four months later on September 10th, 2002. He was only 40 years old.

Mr. Liu Zhirong was a teacher at Tuanjie Elementary School in Qingyang City, Gansu Province. At the end of October 2002, he was sentenced 15 years in prison by the Chengguan District Court in Lanzhou City for practising Falun Gong. On December 14th, 2005, he was transferred from Dingxi Prison to Tianshui Prison. One day, a few prisoners who were told to watch Mr. Liu carried him to the water supply room after beating him brutally. They removed his clothes and used the toilet cleaning pipe to douse him with water. This was in January, and it was extremely painful to be soaked in freezing water. Mr. Liu also did not eat or sleep well besides being brutally tortured. By January 10th, 2006, less than one month after the transfer, he had been persecuted to death. The guards cremated his body without permission from his family.

My name is Meng Xiangfa, and I am 57 years old. In 2002, police arrested me and my wife because we practise Falun Gong. I was sent to Chaoyanggou Labour Camp in Changchun City, where I was grossly abused for two years. While at the labour camp, I wasn't allowed to speak with other practitioners. I had to sit on a small stool more than 14 hours daily and had to do intensive hard labour. They often incited criminals to beat and verbally abuse practitioners. They tried to "reform" us by depriving us of sleep. The officials used all kinds of tactics to torture us to achieve their goals, frequently using electric batons to shock us, beating and kicking us, depriving us of sleep, and extending our terms.

Mr. Wang Dejun and Mrs. Wang Xianglan are husband and wife. On August 31st, 2009, when their daughter left for school, officers from Jiangzhuang, hid near their home and arrested this couple. They are detained in the Gaomi Detention Centre and are being tortured. This couple has been persecuted for many years just because they believe in Falun Gong. Ms. Wang Xianglan was sentenced to two years of forced labour.
