He was transferred to another police station and was interrogated for several hours and kept in custody for an entire night with at least 15 other Falun Dafa practitioners. The following day he was deported and told that he was forbidden to enter China again.

Mr. Hamrle refused to go with them, and the three men then forced him to go by beating and kicking him outside the police station. He was also handcuffed. Mr. Hamrle recalled that he is still “not able to feel with four fingers of [his] left hand now, three months later”.

Hong Kong Practitioner Mr. Suen Chung-man Faces Trial in China; Family Calls for Rescue [23.11.2002]

Mr. Suen’s wife, Wong Am said that Suen would be tried on November 22, in the Longgang district court in Shenzhen City. It has been reported that a seven-year term in jail has already been decided internally.

After the birth of his daughter in Denmark, Mr. Zhu applied, on her behalf, for a Chinese passport and citizenship. The Chinese embassy staff however has been using various excuses to delay, or prevent his daughter from obtaining Chinese citizenship. They have also declined to give Mr. Zhu a reason for the delay. To date, his daughter is stateless.

Jiang Regime's Persecution Against European Citizens (Part 10) - German Citizens Harrassed [19.11.2002]

While testing his computer system after a hacking attack, Mr Gottschalg discovered that his telephone was tapped and was being listened to. The local telephone provider has verified that strange noises, which can be heard, are not supposed to be there. To double check, fake information was sent to a friend and this test confirmed that the phone was tapped.

Recently, Mr. Fava has twice applied to the Chinese consulate to renew his Visa. On both occasions he has been turned down. The Chinese general consul in Milan, Gao Shumao, has declared that he considers him a dangerous person. Gao Shumao, the consul general is well known for declaring in a Chinese newspaper: “...for some obstinate Falun Gong members, ...(in Milan), we must give them severe punishment.”

Mr. Hongxia Wu worked in a Chinese restaurant in the City of Freiburg. He returned to China when his work permit expired. Presently he is in the Huangjiawan Forced Labour Camp in Hengyiang City. He has been threatened with three years of incarceration if he refuses to give up Falun Dafa.

Persecution against European Residents – Part 2 (Chinese National in Denmark) [11.11.2002]

The Chinese embassy called and said that her son’s name could not be added to her passport, since they did not accept her marriage. After investigating Chinese marriage law and civil law, Ms. Wu found that although they may not accept her marriage, the relationship between her and her son could not be denied...When Ms. Wu presented this information to the embassy, they sneered “What is marriage law!” and stated that they have their own regulations.

Students Who Welcome Jiang Asked to Give up Their Right to Free Expression or Be Sued [22.10.2002]

Students at the University of Texas in Arlington, said that the FACSS organization emailed a waiver form to Chinese students requiring any who will go to welcome Jiang as part of their Welcoming Group sign an agreement in which they publicly relinquish their right to express their opinion with any other organization(s) in any form of protest. The email came with a threat of a legal action being taken against any student who did not comply with signing the waiver to relinquish their right to freedom of expression.

Jiang Regime's Persecution Extends to American Soil: A Private Conversation Was Recorded [22.10.2002]

On the evening of October 15, 2002, a group of western Falun Gong practitioners studied the teachings of Falun Dafa and held a discussion at a practitioner's home. When one of them returned home afterwards, he was shocked by what had happened. The talk he had at the other practitioner's home had been recorded and broadcast back into his answering machine.

Denmark: The Chinese Embassy’s Pressure on the Danish Asian Cultural Festival Incites Condemnation. [14.10.2002]

The exclusion is met with political frowns. "It is reprehensible and very non-Danish, if the Chinese authorities have taken part in the censorship of a Danish cultural festival," says Peter Skaarup, the legal spokesman of The Danish Peoples Party, who has asked the Foreign Minister for a statement of the Chinese authorities' role in the case.

Denmark Police Statement: “Practitioner’s Detention was Totally Groundless” [02.10.2002]

On September 26 2002, Copenhagen police made a special trip to Hotel Ibis and formally apologized to a Greek Falun Gong practitioner for wrongfully arresting him. The police delivered a statement initiated by their attorney.

Indonesian: Court Unreasonably Dismisses Practitioner's Lawsuit Against Chinese Embassy [15.09.2002]

On April 25, the Indonesian Falun Gong Association filed a lawsuit in a local court in the southern district of Jakarta, accusing the Chinese Embassy of unreasonable interference and forceful entry into their Fa conference venue.

A Statement By the Sixteen Falun Gong Practitioners in Hong Kong Regarding their Trial, Verdict, and Fines [28.08.2002]

To all media: A few days ago, an anonymous person paid the fine for the sixteen Falun Gong practitioners who were wrongly convicted in the political trial. Ten of the sixteen practitioners who are now in Hong Kong will petition the Western Magistracy at 2:30 pm today (August 26). They will reiterate their position against the unjust verdict, and urge the judiciary to repudiate the verdict and return the money as soon as possible to whoever paid the fine.

On the afternoon of August 19, the "Support Committee to Rescue Yoko" held a press conference at the Bunkyo Borough Centre in Tokyo. Mr. Atsushi Kaneko, who just returned to Japan from China, confirmed that his wife Luo Rong, (Japanese name: Yoko Kaneko) who is wrongfully imprisoned in a forced labour re-education camp in Beijing, has been suffering every kind of physical and mental torture.

Wrongfully Charged Falun Gong Practitioners Stand Firm Against Political Persecution, Refuse to Pay Fines [21.08.2002]

The 16 Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference on August 19 to explicitly declare their intentions not to pay the fines after the court refused to postpone the deadline.
