Having endured two years of torture, Zhao Ming's body has been severely damaged, and he remains very weak. It has been confirmed that he was subjected to near constant beatings, electric baton shocks, forced heavy labour, and coercive brainwashing. He was under great pressure at all times to give up his faith, but he withstood these tests with his righteous beliefs solidly intact.

Zhao Ming has not only suffered extremely savage humiliation and beatings, but also the pressure and threats imposed on him have intensified even more with his release date getting closer. I hope that all the Falun Dafa practitioners who hear this news continue their efforts to appeal for Zhao Ming until Zhao Ming truly returns to a peaceful and safe environment. At the same time, we appeal to Human Rights organizations and people from all walks of life who uphold justice to continue to pay attention to Zhao Ming's situation and to endeavour to protect his personal safety.

Kind Chinese people, the persecution going on in China is not irrelevant to you. It may happen to you tomorrow. If we do not resist this persecution from the bottom of our hearts, we are actually encouraging the evil. In order to prevent such things from happening to more people and more families, I can' keep silent. Who is damaging families? Who is violating human rights? The people will decide for themselves.

The persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners is also the persecution of the fundamental characteristics of this universe and the persecution of the basis of all morality in the world, the persecution of Zhen -- Shan - Ren (Truthfulness -- Benevolence -- Tolerance).

During the past two-and-a-half years, at least 365 Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death in China. We as German nationals are travelling to Tiananmen Square to tell the Chinese citizens and the rest of the world who have been deluded by the Chinese government that Falun Gong is a treasured, precious part of Chinese culture and that it contains teachings that are treasured and appreciated even in Germany.

In phone-calls they said "I am a special agent for Ministry of National Security of China." "I warn you to stop practicing Falun Gong. You know we will bring trouble to you. I have been watching and tracking you for a long time."
This outrageous action demonstrates even more clearly the international implications of the persecution of Falun Gong, and shows that this insane state-terrorism knows no limits.

Zhao Ming, a student at Trinity college, Dublin and a Falun Gong practitioner, returned to Beijing in December 1999 to appeal to the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, but was subsequently detained in Tuan He Farm Labour Camp in Daxin County outside Beijing, where he has been tortured and beaten by guards.

My fellow Swede lay motionless on the floor of the police car. The police waited for me to step over the swede. Before I figured out how to avoid stepping on him, I was punched hard on the face. I was thrown off balance and fell right on top of the Swede. I bumped into the seat. Bruises are everywhere on my arms and legs. What Made the Deepest Impression on You?

When I saw that latticed dungeon-like cell I knew that Falun Gong practitioners were being abused tortured there. Whoever is unlucky to land down there is open to willful, brutal abuse at the hands of Chinese authorities, without any protection. I was shocked at the readiness of the Chinese police to commit violence. I was somewhat clear that, because of our nationality, we would have certain recourse. But I was also aware of the risks, because the Chinese authorities have for the past 2-1/2 years demonstrated their incalculable and unscrupulous behavior for all the world to see. In retrospect, I shudder to think of the possibilities what could have happened to us had we not been Westerners and the whole world would not have soon found out about our arrest.

Ater ten hours of detention, I felt tired and weary of witnessing the policemen’s constant efforts to ridicule us, submit us to interrogations and repeatedly take pictures of us. When my phone rang, I eagerly took it out of underneath my clothes, tired of having to hide it, eager to hear my French fellow practitioners on the line. That’s when six of them threw themselves at me because I was resisting giving them my portable, my last link to the outside world. A policeman took advantage of the scene and tried to force his hands into my genitals.
