Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng have been detained since they were arrested in April 2011. Longgang District Court officials will attempt to put the two practitioners on trial next week (between Dec 11th and 17th) with a charge of “undermining law enforcement.”

At noon on April 22nd, Mr. Sun Jiefeng, originally from Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, and Mr. Deng Tiansheng, from Huizhou City, Guangdong Province were having lunch at a company in Pingshan, Shenzhen where they worked part time, when a group of police officers surrounded and raided the company. For more information, please see “Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Three Other Falun Gong Practitioners Put on Trial in Shenzhen” (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/6/18/126105.html)

This group of police was composed of about 30 officers from the Shenzhen City 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and State Security Division, the Longgang District 610 Office, the Pingshan New Area Police Department and the Shijing Police Station. They arrived in six vehicles. The company where Mr. Sun and Mr. Deng worked was forced to close, and the owner of the company was arrested, as well. The owner was detained for several days, and was only released when he was confirmed not to be a Falun Gong practitioner.

When police didn't find Falun Gong informational materials while searching Mr. Deng's residence, they severely beat him to get him to confess that a CD burner confiscated from another place was his. Thus the police had a piece of “evidence” to detain Mr. Deng.

Mr. Sun and Mr. Deng have been in the Longgang District Detention Centre for nearly seven months.

The Shenzhen police haven't informed Mr. Deng's family, and we do not know his home address, family members or their contact information. We only know that Mr. Deng is about 30 years old, and a college graduate from Huizhou City.
