Former Vice President of the Bank of China, Nanhai Branch, Arrested Again

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. He Zhizhen, 59 years old, was arrested again on her way home by officials from Foshan 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) around 10 a.m. on August 29th. Later, she was taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Centre.

Ms. He comes from Guicheng, Nanhai, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. She used to be the vice president of the Bank of China in Nanhai. She has a very good reputation for being honest and upright in her work. When her clients tried to bribe her by giving her gifts or money, she always kindly refused to take them. Being the vice president, Ms. He also cared about the bank employees, and she often helped them solve difficulties or problems in their daily lives. She is widely recognized as a very good official.

Guangdong Sanshui Brainwashing Centre, or the so-called “Guangdong Legal Education Institute,” is one of the places in Guangdong where several Falun Gong practitioners are detained. After practitioner Mr. Yang Jiedong, from the Hongjing residential area in Wanzai Town, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, was arrested in early July, he was taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Centre. Previously, Mr. Yang's wife, Ms. Liu Chunhong, was already detained there after she was arrested on March 9th, 2011. She was persecuted so severely that her legs were injured and she couldn't walk normally. Despite that, the brainwashing centre still refused to release her.
