On August 20th, the Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Montreal held a rally in Chinatown celebrating 100 million people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organisations.

The rally in Chinatown, Montreal

Qinghe, a Chinese woman who recently immigrated to Canada, passed by the rally. She was surprised to hear that 100 million Chinese quit the CCP. She said: “My parents and grandparents were persecuted by the CCP. My father once sadly said to me that he probably cannot see the disintegration of the CCP in his lifetime. But today, when I saw this rally, I think I can tell him that he will very likely see the fall of the CCP.”

Qinghe said, “My father is almost 80. I hope he will live to the date of the CCP's collapse. I hope that all the Chinese people who see this rally will spread the information to their friends in China, and tell them to quit the Party too.”

Qinghe was happy to see that the rally participants have no fear of the CCP. “They have freedom. It is not like in China, where people live in fear all the time. From this rally, I see the hope of China,” she said.

Mr. Cai, who has lived in Canada for a long time, has profound understanding of the CCP. He gave a speech at the rally, in which he pointed out that the CCP does not represent China. “Loving China does not mean loving the CCP, whereas anti-CCP is not equal to anti-China,” he said.

Mr. Cai also warned those who closely follow the CCP that in history many who trusted the CCP lost their lives. Mr. Cai said: “I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, but I know them well. We are friends. The CCP has ruined the traditional Chinese culture and turned Chinese people into slaves. It brainwashes Chinese people, and destroys moral standards.”

Mr. Cai called upon Chinese people to read the book the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and follow the news on the Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty TV. “Abandon the CCP! Then we will have a brand new China,” he declared.

Mr. Xu, a professional translator, said in his speech: “Due the development of the internet, the CCP can no longer control the media and the voice of the people. So it has become harder for it to control people's minds. Especially in Canada, the CCP propaganda can no longer deceive people. Many people have read the Nine Commentaries and have recognised the evil nature of the CCP.”

Some Chinese people talked to the volunteers of the Service Center and quit the Party during the event. The volunteers answered their questions, such as why it is important to quit the Party and why it is important to make a formal declaration, etc.

Ms. Yang, a volunteer for the Service Center, said: “I get phone calls from China every day. People ask me to help them to quit the Party. Some of them didn't expect the phone number that they see on the flyer in China to be valid, but when the call goes through, they get very excited.”

“Last night, I got a call from China. The gentleman was very excited. He kept saying that he was so lucky to see the number of the service center on the flyer,” Ms. Yang said.

“A man called this morning. After I helped him quit the Party, he asked me for a copy of the Nine Commentaries. He was so eager to read it,” Ms. Yang said: “Many people said they would share the phone number with their friends so that more people may quit the Party.”
