Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Boren, 36, from Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, was illegally sent to forced labour camp twice for practising Falun Gong. In the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, her body and spirit suffered greatly. By her release date of June 28, 2003, she had become extremely weak. She succumbed to the suffering and passed away on March 19, 2004.

In December of 2000, Ms. Liu went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, where she was arrested and illegally sentenced to one year of forced labour by officials in Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. In the forced labour camp, she was tortured with electric shocks and the "Death Bed" and beaten by criminal inmates. She was released on January 8, 2002.

On May 19, 2002, her family members reported her to the police. As a result, she was detained again. The police officers suggested that she would be released if she cursed Falun Dafa and her teacher. If not, she would be sent to forced labour camp. As Ms. Liu refused, she was sentenced to the forced labour camp again for another year.

Because of her persistence in practising Falun Gong, Ms. Liu was once again tortured with electric shocks and the "Death Bed," and beaten by criminal inmates. She also was tortured by other cruel methods. She suffered deeply and her body and mind were greatly damaged.

The Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp did not release her even after she had served her term. Ms. Liu was held for another 40 days. Her health suffered greatly by the time of her release on June 28, 2003, and she died on March 19, 2004.
