The whereabouts of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Shuhua from Shifang, Sichuan Province is unknown as of May 31st, 2015. Her family has searched everywhere, and her elderly mother was abused by agents from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong).

Family Searching for Ms. Yang

Ms. Yang's family inquired at the Huilan Police Station as to her whereabouts on May 13th. Police refused to assist in filing a missing person report.

They returned to the police station on June 1st. An officer claimed that Ms. Yang was transferred to a detention centre, put under criminal detention, and that the Zaojiao Police Station, Domestic Security Division, and the 610 Office were in charge of the case.

Zhang Yun, director of the Zaojiao Police Station, said that they would receive a notification about Ms. Yang's detention in due time and to stop looking for her. He informed them that the case is being handled jointly by the Zaojiai Police Station and the Domestic Security Division.

The family finally learned that Ms. Yang Shuhua was transferred to a detention centre. Yi Zunhui from the 610 Office said that she would make some inquiries into the whereabouts of Ms. Yang.

Abused by 610 Office Staff

Ms. Yang's 83-year-old mother and her other daughter returned to the 610 Office on June 2nd. Yi verbally abused them and gave them the run-around, shouting that she could not care less if Falun Gong practitioners died in her office.

Several officers came to the 610 Office that afternoon, pushed Ms. Yang's mother into a police car, and took her to the Xigao Town Police Station in Guanghan City, where they called for her son to pick her up. The elderly woman was visibly bruised.

Run-Around

Huang Chaoyong, deputy head of the 610 Office told Ms. Yang's family who demanded her release said that the case was handled by the Zaojiao Police Station and is under the domain of the Domestic Security Division.

When trying to see the head of the Domestic Security Division, the family was told to leave because he was not in the office. The family refused to leave and were finally told that official documents were being prepared and that they should go home.

The family was unable to meet with those responsible for Ms. Yang's case in the Domestic Security Division on June 4th, and 5th, 2015. They were forcibly removed from the Domestic Security Division building by police.
