Falun Gong practitioners from Vienna held a rally and a grand march on July 13, 2013, calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The practitioners set up display boards which let people know more about Falun Gong and exposed the ongoing persecution to the public. Many tourists stopped by, took photos, read the materials and signed their names on the petition.

The march started at 1:00 p.m. at Schweden Platz, and for the next three hours proceeded through downtown and several tourist spots, circled through Chinatown, and ended at Steven Platz.

Some practitioners held photos of those who have been tortured to death during the persecution. A few practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on the float, and others re-enacted the Chinese government's organ harvesting crimes.

When the march was proceeding through the Chinatown, the owner of a Chinese restaurant told a practitioner that he had never heard about the organ harvesting. The practitioner told him that it was because the Chinese government blocks all the information channels. “I would be arrested if I passed out flyers in China as I am doing now,” the practitioner told him. But he still didn't quite believe it.

The practitioner then told him his own experiences of being tortured in China for practising Falun Gong. In the end, the restaurant owner accepted what the practitioner told him regarding the truth of Falun Gong and the persecution.

A German lady talked to practitioners for a long time, and wanted to know everything about Falun Gong. She also encouraged her daughter to learn about Falun Gong.

Many tourists signed the petition, protesting the crimes of organ harvesting.
