On February 28th, 2007, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners went to Mersin University to introduce Falun Gong and explain the facts about the persecution the practice has suffered in China to teachers and students.
Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and exposed the Chinese communist regime’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong to passing teachers and students. In the meantime, a documentary detailing Falun Gong's spread around the world was played every hour in the one hundred seat theatre of the university’s art centre.

After hearing about the facts, many teachers and students were so shocked that they signed the petition against the persecution and condemned the Chinese communist regime’s inhuman atrocities. Many of them also came to practitioners to enquire about how to help stop the persecution.
With righteous thoughts, three young practitioners and others who participated in the activities distributed about four thousand fliers and other material.
The local media and a university reporter also interviewed the practitioners.
