Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qiu Guoying was a treasurer at the Land Administration Bureau in Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province. She was tortured into a comatose state and passed away at the Wuyi No. 1 People Hospital. More details are under investigation.
Before practising Falun Dafa, Ms. Qiu Guoying suffered an incurable disease. After practising Falun Dafa, all her illnesses disappeared and gave her a totally different appearance. After the evil persecution began since July 20, 1999, Ms. Qiu insisted on practising Falun Gong and was not willing to write any word against her will. She was sent to a brainwashing centre. The persecutors continually harassed and monitored her movements, which severely damaged her mentality. At the same time, the persecutors pressured her husband to prevent her from practising Falun Dafa. Under the dual persecution, Ms. Qiu finally fell into a comatose state and died at the Wuyi No. 1 People Hospital.
Since July 20, 1999, during all holidays, the police from the 610 Office and the Public Security Department of Wuyi County harass local Falun Gong practitioners. On June 13, 2005, Jiang Xuehua from the 610 Office, Deputy Director Wang Kangyun of the Education Department and other prosecutors abducted Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhou Lianghua who is a teacher at the San'gang Elementary School in Liucheng Town, Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province. They did not allow other teachers to inform Mr. Zhou's family. Mr. Zhou was illegally sentenced to three years' imprisonment. At that time, the persecutors also abducted his wife, Ms. Li Liangcui, on the charge of "protecting criminals". Although later released, on or about October 11, Ms. Li was abducted again and sent to the Jinhua Brainwashing Centre for persecution. Their six-year-old child is left at home. They firmly believe in Dafa and were detained repeatedly.
They were once sent to forced labour camps.
