According to reports, Falun Gong practitioner Mr Li Xianwen, who lived in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was tortured to death while detained in Xinjin Brainwashing Centre in Chengdu City. The exact time of his death is unknown. People involved in the death of Li Xianwen have been hiding the truth. Li Xianwen's mother still does not know about her son's death.

Li Xianwen's wife Yu Guiying is also a practitioner, who has suffered brutal persecution in a labour camp. As a result, she has developed a mental disorder. The labour camp has released her and sent her home.

After Yu Guiying was released, officials from the local police station have been monitoring her around the clock, not allowing anyone to visit her.
