Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Shuxian was in her 40's and had lived in Nongan County, Jilin Province. She went to Beijing to appeal in January 2000, and police from Nongan County arrested her and sent her to a detention centre. They tortured her viciously until she had a heart attack. She strongly urged the detention centre authorities to release her, but the perpetrators ignored her request. Five days later, Wang Shuxian fainted and remained unconscious. Several male inmates carried her home on a stretcher. Ms. Wang Shuxian passed away three days later.
