At 7 pm on December 10, International Human Rights Day, Falun Gong practitioners from Melbourne gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy and held a candle light vigil. They strongly demanded Jiang's regime to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, release all illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners and respect Falun Gong practitioners' basic human rights. They also called on everyone to help end the illegal persecution in China.
