In the first week of September, German and Israeli practitioners came together to plan an event to rescue Xiong Wei. With Xiong Wei’s elder brother in Israel, practitioners in the two countries coordinated with each other. At the appointed time, both German and Israeli practitioners phoned the authorities at the Forced Female Labour Camp where Xiong Wei is being held.

The action is not merely to appeal for Xiong Wei’s release, but also to let Chinese officials realise that if human rights are violated in China, it is known worldwide. Western countries do not tolerate the actions of dictatorships. The fact that many practitioners in various countries launched lawsuits against Jiang Zemin gives those who enforce persecution an opportunity to examine themselves. What is most important is to let people know the truth and to have them know the background of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Let’s finish this persecution and bring those responsible to justice.
