Ms Jiao Fenglan was a 60 year old Dafa practitioner from Baoding City, Hebei Province. She was illegally sent to the detention centre by Laishui County police on May 21, 2003, simply because she insisted on practising Falun Dafa.She refused to cooperate with the forcible "reform" through brainwashing and went on a hunger strike for 16 days. The police did not release her until her life was in great danger. She sadly died seven days after she got home.
Jiang Zemin's personal will and his despotic power has forced the police in various places in Hebei Province to carry out a brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners who cultivate their hearts and practise kindness. They do not even spare elderly ladies like Jiao Fenglan.
