Sweden: Practitioners Clarify the Facts and Collect Signatures for the Release of Pirjo Svensson (Part 6)

On May 31st, in the busiest part of Gothenburg’s business centre, Falun Gong practitioners collected signatures calling for the release of Mrs. Pirjo Svensson. Pirjo has been detained in Thailand for over a month now, and the Thai government has not offered any explanation. She was detained on the very same day that the Chinese Premier visited Thailand to attend a conference on SARS. It is widely believed that her arrest and detention are a direct result of the Premier’s visit.

Passers-by were curious about the facts behind Mrs. Svensson’s detention and were indignant upon learning the facts.

One passer-by asked about Pirjo’s detention, signed his name on a petition to call for her release and expressed a wish to help. He returned later with family members and a schoolmate, who also signed the petition. Practitioners’ upright words and righteous actions are touching more and more people.
