UK: A Non-Practitioner's Letter to The Prime Minister's Wife [This letter was written to the Prime Minister's wife by a non-practitioner after she had a read a leaflet which described the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The leaflet included a description of Wang Lixuan, a practitioner who was tortured to death along with her seven-month-old baby - see below for more details] Dear Mrs Blair, Due to your belief in a better way of life and a deep and admirable interest in human and womens rights, I feel that I can approach you on the subject of the pamphlet included. Mrs Blair, I understand that in the present political climate, upsetting China may not be a good thing but I feel that the world must not forget that Iraq isnt the only country where human rights and megalomania collide with horrifying results. Being a happy tourist destination and more worryingly, a member of the U.N. Security Council doesnt appear to stop it from quietly torturing and murdering on a grand scale. At the right time, perhaps you might give this whole terrible reality some thought and in your own way do something to help, so that Wang Lixuan and her little baby wont have suffered and died horribly in vain. Thank you for reading this, I hope that we can all do some good for those who dont have the happy fortune of enjoying a decent and courageous government such as ours. My baby, Hector, who at this moment is drooling all over the keyboard, thanks you too on behalf of another little soul who never had a chance. Yours sincerely For Reference: Details about Wang Lixuan and her Young Baby's Death
