Jiang Regime's Persecution Against European Citizens (Part 23) - Practitioners' Relatives Detained in Labour Camps European Resident(s): Lili Zhao, female, Chinese with Italian refugee status (Rome) Mr. Shuqiang Li is the husband of Ms. Lili Zhao, a Chinese national who has obtained refugee status. In June 2000, Mr. Li was arrested and detained at a detention centre in Shenzhen city. He was released within 2-months. He was again arrested in December 2000, after appealing on Tiananmen Square. Under torment in prisons, Mr. Li re-developed haemorrhoids, which had previously been cured after he begun practising Falun Gong. He was sent to a hospital for emergency rescue, however was still placed under close surveillance. Currently Mr. Li is detained in Guangdong Shanshui Labour camp. European Resident(s): Yu He, Ph.D, Belgium, (Canadian permanent residence status) Mr. Zhonglin Luo was living in Wanzhou City, Sichuan Province, China. He has been sentenced to three years in a labour camp in Chongqing City for continuing to practice Falun Gong. European Resident(s): Chenguang Li, male, 39, businessman, Russia Mr. Chenyang Li was employed as a technician at the Haerbin Branch of the Peoples Bank of China. He was twice detained in November 1999 and February 2001, both times after appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing. Mr. Li was later forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. He was again arrested in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province when he clarified the truth to people there. He was sent to a labour camp in Zhengzhou, where his is still detained.
