From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Falun Gong practitioners performed their exercises on the lawn across from the Chinese Consulate and gave truth-clarifying literature to the pedestrians. The pedestrians stopped to receive Dafa materials, and enquired about the local practise sites. Passing drivers honked their car horns to express support and sympathy. Local police officers in patrol cars waved to greet practitioners and made the familiar "V" (victory) hand signal. There were eight police officers in front of the Chinese Consulate. After hearing the truth about the persecution in China, one officer said he and his family would go to a local practise site to learn Falun Gong. Two reporters of a local newspaper (REFORMA) interviewed practitioners and took photographs.

At night, a candlelight vigil was held. The light from one row of candles shined upon the pink lotus flower, and upon the dignified, solemn and respectful faces of practitioners. Illuminated by the streetlight and candlelight, pedestrians conversed with practitioners. Three young boys earnestly learnt the exercises and happily went home with our Dafa material, bookmarks and the lotus flowers. A half hour later, they returned to sit with us to hold the vigil.
