Member of European Parliament Writes Letter of Support for Rights of Falun Dafa Practitioners

In September, a Falun Gong practitioner wrote to member of the European Parliament Mr Chris Heaton-Harris, about the Chinese regime using bullying tactics on the Danish organisers of the arts events of the EU-Asia summit meeting to pressure them to exclude the performance of Falun Gong practitioners.

Mr Heaton-Harris MEP said in his reply in September "I indeed support your cause on behalf of the Falun Gong and do not believe any regime should be allowed to get away with using bullying tactics, particularly to the extent that the Chinese regime has done in this case."

He also said "I will be discussing with [fellow MEPs] what steps we should take to encourage the relevant EU authorities to support the reinstatement of the invitation to Falun Gong practitioners for the ASEM art events. In the mean time I would be grateful if you could keep me updated on the situation.
